      If you're ok with using etsy (or the creator of the stock's website) there's a
      Really cool one I saw thats 80 usd, its made of carbon fiber and has a magnet in the center of the stock so you could separate it and put it together instantly rather squeeze or connect the controllers in every time like some other stocks
      If you are interested reply to this comment and I'll try to find the link to the seller they have 4-5 stars iirc

    I actually made one of these at work. I am in a plumbing wholesaler and one of the other nerds I work with told me I could copy his build for a stock. I used 1-1/4 fittings and pipe, worked out great. Looks exactly like your original one since I added the L at the bottom of the stock just for looks. I’m working on a cool design to paint on it or something next. I did use 2” fittings at first but it gets heavy. So if you’re building one, just remember the bigger the fittings and pipe, the more exhaustive it is after playing a couple hours.

  • @ramentasty8

    Thanks for the upload! I just made one cause it looked so easy to do! I also want to add that you can heat up the pvc over a stove and shape it with some oven mitts. I made the openings for the controllers into ovals so it would be just big enough so it would hold the grab button down so i can just carry the gunstock itself. It aligns the controllers to face forward as well.

    Found this video today and went out and made it, fits the quest 3 controllers nicely, and can already see a difference, only tryed it on contractors so far but well worth it, looking forward to trying it with ghosts of tabour, I’d say use screws to secure it all together once your happy with it as it’s pretty sturdy it did move a little before it was screwed together, for the price though you can’t go wrong, stuff paying £60+ when you can build this in less then 10mins, My guy you are the real mvp for this guide!!!

    You can use the strap and loop it around your back and shoulder and connect it to the controller strap. Honestly just the tension does enough, and you don't have to deal with like -any- of the downsides of the gunstock part. I've used both and the gunstock was only SLIGHTLY more steady; but not enough to even be worth bothering with.

    Suggestion, I noticed that the sling just gets in my way since you place the controller on top instead of bellow(would probably be annoying on a real rifle too probably) so simply made it go straight trough the shoulder Y joint and have a one point sling. Its just sooooo much better!

      That's great! So the long pip I got was 2m long - definitely enough to make one for all 3 of you, assuming yours is the same length. And it does work well. It slows reloading down by like a second, but it helps it feel wayyy more immersive.

      B. Putting another 'buttstock" on the front (rotate the splitter to have a hole up and down allows for easier grabbing with the front hand AND, Threading the strap thru the TOP of the butt stock and the BOTTOM of the front barrel completely removes the chance of catching the strap with the controller!

    I went to my local hardware store and I went to the plumbing isle to find out the long pipe he had with same measurements was 9.99. Then I went looking for the T junctions 5.99 FOR 1!!! Then the ribbon or whatever cost 1.24 a letter so another for dollars,this would be like 35 bucks.

    This stock has a very huge downside: it is VERY slow to use compared to commercial stocks as you kinda need to squish the controllers inside the tube every time you want to do something and then fiddle with them. Not to mention that the grip will be different every time so the consistency is terrible

    • @IcarusAO
      @IcarusAO  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not ideal. Generally it's good for Onward, where I'm holding the gun slow and steady for long periods of time. I wouldn't wanna use it for anything fast paced. It's good st what it does, but definitely not as good as a proper one. Depends if your budget can allow for it.

    • @Vesper-
      @Vesper- ปีที่แล้ว

      I did some modifications to mine, basically cut holes in the sides at an angle so I can insert and remove the controllers much faster, however this does come at the cost of even worse consistency. After some practice though it is not terrible and definitely way better than no stock at all.
