Thank you, Helen :) The arch idea came from a book I read a few years ago called The Orchard Book ( amzn.to/4g13HAS )*. It had a lot of fantastic inspiration for adding fruit trees of all types to the garden 💚 *affiliate link
Kitchen waste goes into the worm compost right in my kitchen. I don't put citrus, alliums in but they eat and process everything else. Of course no meat products or byproduct like milk, etc or meat. Those go into community compost system.
Hello. Tanya Lovely Greens👱♀, Its always a pleasure to join you here on a Sunday. Garden as always is looking great🪴🌿🍎 . Say hello to your Menagarie of pets for me 😼🐶. Oh!! and Hiya Josh👷♂.
Thank you :) A greenhouse is a single glazed (usually glass) house-like structure that's great for extending the seasons and growing plants in cooler climates. A Polycrub is a branded double-glazed polycarbonate polytunnel that captures and retains heat better than a greenhouse. It's mainly for growing heat-loving crops in cool or windy climates.
The Armenian cucumber has been such a pleasant surprise! It's so much sweeter and tender than other types of cucumbers I've grown/tried. Have a great week, too, TeresaSue :)
Hi Tanya! I am intrigued by the Armenian cucumbers. How are their skin, is the skin thin and more edible like English cucumbers, or are they better peeled?
They are very thin and we've not been peeling them. Even big ones have thin skin and succulent flesh! They do have a very fine fuzz all over them that remind me of a peach.
Working on that, still! They fortunately don't poo in them (they take to the grass for that), but all three have been known to squash plants, play, and sometimes wee in them. I use netting if I really need them out of a bed, though.
Armenian “cucumbers” are not actually biologically cucumbers. They are technically melons which is why they taste sweeter and don’t get bitter like cucumbers.
Found a new garden channel I’m going to binge watch. I’m addicted to garden videos now 😂😂

what is the difference between a greenhouse and a poly crub?

Tie or weld a rebar to the archway. Smaller than a wooden stake and won't decompose.
Welding is not something I know how to do. Besides, the job is done and I'm happy with it.
The Armenian cucumber is interesting. Our season is running late too. Thank you for the lovely garden tour. Have a great week. TeresaSue

How do you keep your cats out of your garden beds?
Working on that, still! They fortunately don't poo in them (they take to the grass for that), but all three have been known to squash plants, play, and sometimes wee in them. I use netting if I really need them out of a bed, though.

"Here in Britian"??? IOM is NOT a part of Britain,,,, Great or not 🤫. Anyway,,, thank you so much for another lovely video. We like them a lot.😉
British Isles then :)
It's part of the British Isles, it's fine to say Britain. When addressing a worldwide audience it holds a lot more meaning.
