I find these "prediction" videos strangely compelling. Looking forward to more :)

Depends if the clicks are visible or cleanable, the SAX 2278 doesn't look scratched, so might be cleanable?

The seller would have tried cleaning as the record is worth much more with no 4 clicks. depends if you want to bid assuming it is cleanable. best to assume the clicks are permanent

Hello Stuart.....this is exciting stuff to an old crate digger like me! I watched the 2024 Scottish Indoor Bowls Competition recently and your commentary on this auction has the same authenticity IMO.......how can someone seriously claim near mint with only a visual appraisal? RED FLAG....especially when the same seller rates the tatty cover as a VG+!!! This is a great idea and I hope you will do more videos in this vein!

OMG you watch bowls? I must go and check that out to find out what you mean. I will be doing more of these as it is easy content creation and I am also adding to my knowledge.

@@LPCLASSICAL POT BLACK and JACK HIGH (Snooker & Bowls) were my favourite television shows....I always loved the calm demeanor of the commentators...watching your auction video gave me that familiar feeling of never quite knowing what the outcome might be with or without certainty! In other words I think you are on a winner ....your knowledge versus the outcome...I am of course a gambling man!

What makes me laugh are the ridiculous prices that some sellers charge, and that people will pay, for performances that are not even good. Only being interested in the label is incomprehensible to me. Sometimes, particularly in 1950's solo recordings, like Lympany and Heifetz, the original Mono can sound very good and the artificially processed Stereo remake can sound awful. Yet many collectors will simply pay more for the stereo because they assume it will be better. I often wonder if some collectors ever listen to their records, or if they do if their ears are actually functioning or even know what Classical music should sound like.

The performances are generally good though. The premium labels had the world's best artists.
