One of my favorite bands. My husband and I used The One as one of our wedding songs when we walked back down the aisle together. Still just a favorite band and I listen to them often in my car. So glad to see a reaction for them
I deleted my first comment because I called my granddaughter to see if this was a cover and it isn’t. This is an original song by this band and this young man is Irish and he wrote it about his then girlfriend, who left for vacation and came back with a new man And how it tore his soul.
My apologies to anyone who saw my first post saying that this young man was singing a cover.
It was the opposite the young man my granddaughter enjoyed singing the song was doing the cover.
I’m really grateful to hear the original! Even old Great grandmas make mistakes.

You’re very accurate. Steve Garrigan, the vocalist, wrote this song after a heartbreaking breakup. I saw Kodaline in Indonesia back in 2016, they were amazing!
