You have been there yourself so you know exactly what he and his family are going through. The good news is that it appears he is talking and doesnt have a head injury.. that’s a massive relief to start with. As you say, he needs space and privacy now to get through surgery, rehab etc etc.
Chris, you are a real hero & fantastic ambassador for the sport - only hope Egan can be as strong as you & returns soon. Look forward to seeing both back in the Tour de France.

During your time at team sky, the fame and the intrigue of what was going on within the team made it difficult to know about the individuals that formed it. Keep pushing, Froome! I know you can overtake your old self! Successful recoveries from crashes leads to a stronger body. This is a fact! So keep that in mind when pushing!
Really ? Perhaps you are not old enough or don’t remember a Spanish rider Joseba Beloki crashing in the 2003 TDF. He was never able to recapture his pre-accident condition. Of course everyone wishes Chris Froome the best for a full recovery but you should be aware of the reality of his situation. The human body has limits.
