Above all this, Yata conceptually isn't even that big of a threat on the level that most decks work out of the grave with effect's now, hand traps exist and are staple main deck card's, and if you hit the point where you've somehow looped your opponents hand, you're probably left with a board that you wouldn't wish to have opened with or drawn a monster that cannot be special summoned and that requires a normal summon to actually use. If by some miracle you reach a point where you win with/lose against Yata, you probably would have won/lost not only faster without it having taken a slot in your deck more deserving of a better modern card that is going to be more cohesive with your current deck.
The only thing I'm expecting to get banned is Cimo's ability to be on TH-cam. That's the ONE thing Konami can do to punish him now for that top 5 reasons not to buy sealed.

So yeah, either give the boy an errata or keep him in jail.
It is not the whelp causing the main problem. It is union carrier. It gives every deck access to card(s) that should not be in any other deck. Similar to banning o-lion for needlefiber, banning whelp will only bring some other variant to the combo until carrier gets hit.

Now in regards to Mystic Mine, it's the answer we need for a game that literally makes EVERY format about what degenerate spam hand loop/otk/ftk combo will take the top spot since Synchro's entered the game and changed the focus from (sure there were various combo decks prior to their existence however the game wasn't fully played around that exact concept every single format). The game requires degenerate floodgates to keep the degenerate combo decks in check. The existence of one of those two elements requires the existence of the other of those 2 elements. The difference between Vanity's Emptiness conceptually and Mystic Mine is that one of those 2 can be effectively played in the very same combo decks(In the same way royal oppression was abused with decks like Black Wings when they weren't a meme deck) that it's supposedly a form of checks and balance for, whereas with Mystic Mine its best used in decks with a much slower strategy and cannot be just thrown into any deck to allow it to both get ahead and stay ahead. So while yes, Mystic Mine is absolutely a degenerate card and unhealthy for the game, so are the continuous spam combo's that will keep coming out replace the current ones as new sets release and the F/L List gets rid of the old ones, again if one exist then the other must also exist.

Honestly mystic mine is a fair card. Several decks have a 1 card combo that leads to an oppressive game state and honestly if you don’t draw the mine in a mine deck, you’re auto-loosing. It’s still a brain dead deck, and probably demise of the land can get hit to balance consistency, but as a card it’s fine

I think Sekkas light would be okay to come back at three as long as you only have superheavy samurais in your deck and no rock monsters
Honestly mystic mine is a fair card. Several decks have a 1 card combo that leads to an oppressive game state and honestly if you don’t draw the mine in a mine deck, you’re auto-loosing. It’s still a brain dead deck, and probably demise of the land can get hit to balance consistency, but as a card it’s fine

Halquifibrax should of been like speeder giving out restrictions. Speeder needs a Synchron tuner and has to add to level 5. Restricts you to only synchro summon if you want to activate eff. Halquifibrax nah fam go Ham!!!
Halq should get an archetype lock. Nobody plays Crystrons, after all

Thank you for the Mystic Mine comment. People argue all the time that its balanced and you gotta be good and play removal for it and Im like what about Kaiser Collseum, Vanitys Emptiness, Royal Opression? You can remove those with MST too? Lol People kill me.
I just think it is crazy kaiser is banned when you actually have to control a monster for it, but not mystic mine which you are able to run like 8 copies of and has no maintenance cost.
This is not saying kaiser should come back (both should have never been printed), but Mine is WAY more degenerate.
