they have announced RG nu gundam on august roll out, i will buy it immrdiately, i will skip on the RG crossbone X1 because i already had the ver ka version of and customized it to make manga accurate.

Posing the RG Nu Gundam vs the RG Sazabi is mesmerizing. I took a 15 year hiatus from Gundam, and these 2 kits restored my love of the hobby and then some. I took my time with both, including panel lining, chrome painting bits, and top coating (first time for all). Makes an absolutely stunning diorama if you can engineer or buy your way into fin funnel action

The only thing I didn't like about the ver Ka, is that it has Ball Joint hips... with no thigh swivel. Other than that, i think they are both worthy of the title of "best in grade". If we ever get a PG of the Sazabi, I know they're gonna pull out ALL the stops!
This guy is like amazing, most other youtubers are just Asians making accents while building but this one makes really entertaining videos.

Just discovered your channel through Thunderman! I'm pretty much a straight builder though I've done repaints time to time. I've been building off and on since 2001, and I was SUPER EXCITED when my local supplier told me about a new kit series called High Grade Universal Century coming out. Haha man. But yeah...I goddamn love this kit, and it's coming from a place of grudging like of the RG line. As far as I'm concerned, RG Tallgeese and Sazabi NEED to be the direction RG takes from this point on. I haven't painted up a gunpla kit in awhile, and I want to do one up as a Ground Type Sazabi using my left over paints from when I was doing WWII German stuff, haha!

P.S: before the RG, I wanted to buy the HG version. But when the RG was announce, I just had to buy it. Thank God I didn't buy the HG. I heard it was nothing more than paper weight.

I think the REAL problem with the shoulder joint come from the connection where the horizontal-swing out flat part connect to the torso piece via a hollow peg. The manual tell you to push it down as far as it could. The problem is that the connection is very thigh and some builder don’t push it all the way in and when they try to swing out the shoulder, the force applied will bend that peg (according to moment of the force which mean that the farer you apply the force, the greater moment will be) and broke it completely. So if you fear that you will ruin it, just drop some putty in that hollow peg of the torso or use metal rod and superglue to make it stronger.
Honestly I'd say the Sazabi ver ka also has an asterisk: it's a marvel of gunpla engineering and an almost perfect kit, as long as you ignore the lack of a thigh swivel

Im the guy who put up the elyn kshatriya for 1000usd , I feel like part of that shout was aimed at me hahaha
RG Sazabi wasn't the first gunpla I. built but it was the first one as an adult. Then the RG Nu... And then out of left field a none Gundam but a HMM Liger Zero Markings Plus, which was fun to build and now RG Nu is in a riding pose on the Ligers back.
You forget that Sazabi was the form Char was using to try and drop a space rock/colony on the Earth to make it uninhabitable so the shade of red makes sense. I do hear from other reviewers that the Sazabi is one of the best RG kits out there, just people would complain about the shoulders. I didn't know it was because of how it's more of a slide on with the U-bracket instead of over the top snap on like normally expected.
I think you were really grasping for complaints, hopefully that's part of the joke

a year later, with kits like the RG nu gundam, MG dynames, and others:
I stand by what I said at the time, and it’s still true now. It’s a world class kit that’s not indicative of the entire RG line, and will set improper expectations for what to expect from others. I’m halfway through my RG Nu (Video forthcoming) and it’s pretty alright so far too, but when this thing came out, it was a game changer.
Sure, the Aventador is a more striking car than the Miura, but one does not exist without the predecessor.
@@BadGunpla1 This kit was a game changer when it released- hatch gimmicks, solidity, everything the RG unicorn was, but even the unicorn had issues that this thing didn't have. However, it seems that the RGs we got after it, the crossbone and nu gundam, are also coming without that asterisk. (except for the same one as the sazabi, that being they're the best renditions of the design ever made in plastic form.) It seems that the sazabi has not become some "never again achieved greatness" like its MG counterpart, but instead the standard that RGs following it seem to abide by. the same way 2005 marked a great improvement for MG kits, 2018 will mark a similar improvement for RG kits.

I don't say this lightly, but that was the most enjoyable gunpla review I've watched.
I have all the retail RGs since my 2nd kit ever was Char's Z'Gok.
However; i have not yet bought this kit due to its price and the box is too large to fit with my other RGs.
All of them? How do you put up with that? I can only put up with the most bare if RGs. (Mk II, Exia, Nu, and Sazabi)

For the zeta Gundam I lost one of the pieces the connects the leg to the side waist part which was really small and now when ever I move the leg it falls off :(

Which issue? That they’re big? There really isn’t an issue with them as far as I can tell. Which I highlighted. What would you have put there?

He even says “I believe...” at the start of that clip. In other words, the people saying they’re having problems with the shoulders are all saying different things. If that connection is where some people are having problems, those people are being way too rough with this kit. Thing is built like a tank.
