The RG Frame is made up of two different material, basically they molded the hard plastic first then inject another layer of soft plastic on top of it. Since they're made up of different material the parts won't blend together. And there you have it, that's why the RG frame were extremely tight OOB.
The plastics used specifically are ABS and PP plastics, which is the same as those Emotion Manipulator hands seen in some MGs. What I've notice after building a couple of real grades is that the plastic that connects the parts to the runner of the advance MS joint runner is made of PP plastic
the wrists can extend to alleviate the issues with the weapons upper arm has a latch too for better bends, i like it more than the mg by far... i mean the mg looks better, slightly, but i think this is a better package.
i'll never forgive myself for flushing the clear parts for this kit, was prepping for paint put all the parts in a bucket to clean them (they can have reagents and stuff that react to the paint, sometimes). forgot the clear parts were in there when i was scooping them out, then... gone with the water. had to make some replacements out of sprue and some other clear parts i had lying around. you can barely tell.. but i know, i'll always know.. half expecting the church of gunpla to ex-communicate me over this lol.
This is what RGs should’ve been from the beginning. But I’m not expecting every RG from now on to be like this, I think this will be like the HG Moon Gundam, where they do a RG like this MAYBE every other year, but not every one. In a perfect world, RGs would just be 1/144 Master Grades with even more detail. So maybe like 1/144 Perfect Grades?
Not all frames are that bad. The Red Frame and the UC kits are great with their frames (except the RX-78) Though yes, I'm glad they kinda improved even with the absence of much frame.
For fans of this mobile suit, the RG MSN-04 Sazabi is (I think) the best way to go in terms of what you get, how much space it takes up, how much money it is, etc. Personally, I've been getting more into RGs lately

the way system injection molding works (you'll see this not only on RG kits but notably kits from the 90's) is that some parts are molded in the factory and cut off the runners, those parts are then placed into another mold and the softer plastic is molded around them.
the head on the master grade looks alot better because of the visor effect I think shame i like 1/144 better as they just take up less space if you want a collection on display
The shelf presence alone of the mg ver ka makes this rg look like shit. The ver ka is a conversation starter even among my friends who are not into model kits.

They did it with multi-injecting, a technology they pioneered for the old no-grade F90 kits.
