Looking forward to your update. I bought my Brompton in October and have averaged 1 puncture a months since then. It always happens when I'm at the furthest away from home!

Hi Ian, So far so good. Happy to report that despite many miles completed I’ve still not had a puncture (no doubt now I’ve said that I’ll get loads)!

Thanks for sharing. What pump are you using there. My joeblow track pump head is too big to fit between the spokes of the brompton, so I bought a Lezyne track pump, but you have to screw on the head rather than clip it on, which is a real pain (first world problems eh?).

Hi It’s a Joe Blow Max HP pump quite elderly now but still a great pump. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. 🙏

I also have a Jobsworth Airtank that also fits.

Thanks for posting this because I've often thought about using this kind of stuff. One question I have is: how do you know when you've run over a thorn or tack which would have caused a puncture in a non-protected tyre? If you don't notice it, how safe is it? Sorry that's two questions! I look forward to your follow up videos. Cheers 👍🏼

Ive run my mountain bike tubeless for ages, the tell tail signs to look for (if you can’t see something obvious protruding from the tyre) is traces of pink fluid as it rushes to block the hole. Often with an inner tube this is less noticeable but you may well still see signs by the entry hole. If you inspect the tyre after each ride and check for any loss of pressure it’s perfectly safe.

Hwo did this work out for you? I don't see a follow up video.

You’re right I said I would follow up after a year and that means the time is now! I’d better do a quick follow up asap.
Seeing as you were the one to notice first (and before I did), I’ll let you into a secret, zero punctures since then! That’s pretty impressive to me though who really knows if that’s 100%down to the Muc-Off. Maybe I just got very lucky.

I've had my Brompton for almost two years, riding in North London... zero punctures - touch wood! - and have even done some light touring on it@@stushikesandrides

Looks interesting, is it still working fine? Hope to see you around the area, as another Doncaster resident here, who has just bought a Brompton

Ayup Andy. Congratulations on getting your Brompton. I hope you love yours as much as I do mine. We could be the founders of the Doncaster Brompton Chapter/ club/ society?
I’m pleased to report the Muc-Off is still playing a blinder, lots of miles and no puncture to report.
Hope to see you out there soon.

Hi Stu, have you used this stuff before? Is it worth it, do you think, or too early to tell? I have some but not used it yet.

I run Muc-Off sealant in my Orange Five which has been tubeless for twelve months now and (touch wood) still issue free. So, strictly speaking no experience with this actual product but I’m hoping it’s half as good as the tubeless set up.

Also, it’s the only one I’m aware of that is good for the life of the tube.

@@MedusalObligation Me too - I found slime goes solid after a few months whereas this is still going strong. I would 100% recommend using this stuff. Honestly it’s been great.

@@MedusalObligation I recently followed a farmer cutting a blackthorn hedge with one of those tractor blade things that send debris everywhere. I was dreading the after effects but nothing stopped me. I pulled a few out when I got back to the car but we’re still going strong.
