I like your idea a lot. Never thought about a jib crane with electric, air, and lights. That’s one hell of an idea! Thanks for sharing.

Festool has actually had this idea in production for.. 15+ years. It has a module that hangs at the end.. for compressed air, vacuum, power… check it out … can’t get them in NAmerica though… 😔👎

I am fully impressed! It’s just a complete th-cam.com/users/postUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 plan with the best resources and step by step instructions . These shed plans are so satisfying as if the sheds build themselves on their own. Worthy work Ryan!

Congratulations Mr. Vereshchak, the idea of putting this extender was sensational, you can work on the entire bench with practicality and comfort, without stepping on wires and hoses. Congratulations on the idea. A hug.

We made these back in the day for rebuilding diesel engines in a large shop. Used it to roll blocks over for cleaning and assembly. Ours was attached to large I beams that supported the building with good used taper roller bearings. You have done a great job! Makes for a very easy to keep a tidy shop with less trip hazards! Nice!

You should add another one of those plywood sections so that it hinges out in the other direction, so that you can have double the reach. Since both can fold back away from one another, they shouldn't get in the way of each other.

Brilliant use of air space, I have a similar arrangement no where as majestic as yours though. I found it easy to hang electric power and dust extraction, mine hangs on a center point with counter weight to allow 300 degree swing my garage is very small and not have leads and air hoses laying on the floor is a major benefit when keeping the floor clean.

Nice job. I wanted to build one like this years ago, but also to hang up the tools on the boom, I was thinking lot about the construction, especially when about 10kg of tools hang off at the end, skipped the folding design. Then I found a 5m long tool boom used with a heavy duty c channel where the outlet is gliding forth and back on the internet for 40€ and took that instead. Spend more on gas than on the boom, but it was well worth it.
    Greetings from Germany.
