I've been there before. And I am sorry for your rodent nightmares. My Grandma passed away over Covid lock down. Her car sat outside in Florida for over a year before I could get it shipped to Kansas City. And between the mice and squirrels, the car was almost totaled. What a nightmare. So many hours replacing insulation and wires. And the clean-up was almost too much. I pray that's all you have to deal with. Best of luck. And we are glad to see you are back in action and healthy again.
Had that happen in my first Camaro, they got in and were living under the center console with a nest made from carpet fibers. When I bought my LT1, first thing I did was put steel netting in the air conditioning intake, and on the side panels under the cowl.
Thanks for sharing. Similar thing happened to my 2017 SS. Found rat piss on the intake manifold and noticed some of the silver heat shielding had been chewed up. Fortunately I caught it before any wiring damage could be done. That rat is no longer with us either. And I consistently put traps under the hood if it's going to sit for a while. We do own cats - and that has always helped with rodents around our home. Will be using the dryer sheets tip as well.
They like the soy that's in a lot of wiring. I have seen them get through loom as well. Bait stations help and peppermint oil. You can always make a comprehensive coverage claim on your insurance policy, those with a lot of mods/Aftermarket parts maybe want to check with their agent/policy such parts are often capped by about $1500. unless there is optional coverage for such items on your policy. As always an informative vid 👍🏽
I had one chew up my '17. It made a home in the cabin filter. Sold it. Now with my '22 I have poison and replent in the corners of my garage. Plus I grow spearmint outside my garage
I had this happen to me about a year ago. I still to this day never found the body. Even took it to a dealer and had them go all over it cameras and shit. Took about 4 to 5 months for the smell to finally go away. I tore the damn thing apart and never found anything
That 🐀 was huge Matt was like look at the balls on that MF lol That 🐀 was hating on that Whipple that’s what that was about. Wouldn’t of happened if you had a Maggie 2650🤔
could anyone help m figure out something about my camaro i have 2022 SS stock. i live in a 115F hot summer the issue is everytime i start my car after being off for at least 16 hours the coolant temp guage shows above 160 about half way after the first small line. i pluged odb sensor and the temp was at ambient temp or couple of degrees above it which is normal with the car off. also the car cold starts sound like warm start and the valves are open all the time. any thoughts?
I work at a dealership. Dryer sheets or peppermint oil don't work. I see vehicles with about 10 dryer sheets under the hood with rodent damage. Even with those flashing led and buzzer, gizmos don't work.
By the way, did you make a vlog about how to remove the glove box in the 6-Gen Camaro? If not I would certainly appreciate a little tutorial 😊-thanks in advance-cheers 🥃
@@Lethalgarage actually you did not get into removing the glovebox to replace the box; your vlog covered dropping the glovebox to get to the cabin air filter; I’m trying to replace the glovebox; I think it’s just a few bolts to remove to gain access to the silver hinges that hold the glovebox in place.
Lol. When I raise my hood....I get black snakes relaxing in my motor and THEY DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!!! So frustrating!! Then they hang on to the bottom of car and I have to sling them off!!! ,GOOD THING I'VE GOT A BITCHING SS!!!! Mice only get in mine in storage ❤
I try to keep my garage doors closed most of the time especially after chipmunks came in to eat bird seed kept there. I’m surprised all that food you have stored in your garage hasn’t been eaten also. Honda makes special wire tape that rodents won’t eat. I learned that on another channel.
I wouldn’t think a lot. The ones most want that are holding some sort of value are the SS variants. RS 50th is around $17-22k currently in excellent condition at 23k miles.
Yep I've had 1 huge rat in my engine bay. Took a pic of him one night. Pooped everywhere. Luckily didn't chew anything. He still comes back from time to time. Luckily I daily mine so it didn't make a nest. Mostly wanted to stay warm during the winter on top of my LT1. Put a rat trap under but unfortunately got a chipmunk so I stopped using it. I don't have e85 so they aren't as interested. I bet they like the smell of yours more.

I want to see more videos of this car running. It’s badass

I miss your Camaro6 quick tips (like this). Brings me back to the old days.
Did you ever finish the review for the headlights from a couple years ago?

I usually recommend customers when I replace the A/C box to add chicken wire fence material to the inlet to block future rodent issues.
Think it depends on the type of rodent. I know many people have had success with both.
Lethal Camaro ❌ Rat-fed Camaro ✅
Lol i had a dead cat ripped up by the underdrive pully in mines ..how it got in there is beyond me
