The remote start is on the phone app that you can download on your phone. It's easy to use and more convient than a remote start on the key fob in my opinion.
A car in this price should definitely have remote start on the key fob. No excuse. The Stinger and G70 also do not have it, yet my TLX does. Heck a Dodge ram does.
@@GoofieNewfie true, it should come with remote start on the fob, but here in Canada you could get it installed at the dealership as an added accessory. Plus this has features you can't get in the TLX or even TLX. So you get more than you lose.
New subscriber. Very no BS review. It's now 2021 and this is more reasonable in price now, so I'm watching reviews. Not getting anything soon but a great review. Thanks!!
Great Review. The updated front end is definitely an improvement over the 17 model. However, they need to put this platform on a diet. This would improve handling, acceleration, and fuel economy.
CatcherOfBass same.. Turbo charge their 5 liter v8 and make something crazy! That'd be awesome. I think they are going to first focus on establishing a solid lineup first. For now, I'm pumped for Hyundais N division
I have 2 questions please. First off I want to say that your review was good and knowledgeable thanks. First question, which suspension handles bumps and rough roads better in your opinion the 3.3t or the 5.0? Second question, which seats in your opinion are more comfortable the 3.3t sport seats or the 5.0t nappa seats? everyone has different opinions, but I want your opinion chad thanks. Which suspension and seat did you like better.
Frankly I didn't see much difference in ride--no complaints with either. Either seats were fine too.....if others see a difference I think they are nitpicking.....
Are you serious? Take all the badges off and put them together with the Infiniti Q50 & Q-70 This is a nice car but the entire Korean business model is based on copying other cars and selling for a cheaper price....
chad haire Thankfully God gave us all the right to see things through our own eyes. You my friend are the FIRST person to review the Genesis G70 and make that comparison of all the reviews i watched. And i watched some 50 to 100 reviews since before and after purchasing a 2015 3.8 liter Hyundai Genesis. I never heard the 2 car brands being mentioned once for Similarities. You might as well have said the G70 looks like a Altima, because the Q70 looks nothing more but a trumped up Altima. I would say it shares some Similarities to another car manufacturer, but Definitely not any infinity models. It does how ever share many design cues with the 15-16-17 Sonata, which in turn looks nothing like the Altima. I would say it shares design with the Santa fe, which in turn looks nothing like the QX60 Q80. In the end you review cars, I don't, so maybe I'm seeing things differently. Which makes me happy because I find Genesis's look much more attractive than Infinity's
A. Yes i drive them all and sit in them all so I can see why they are similar. B. The reason you don't hear other youtube car reviewers say what I say is because they are cowards who are scared to say anything bad about the cars they test, and get the car makers mad--and not get any more cars. In fact you might have noticed most youtube videos are nothing but advertisements.....I don't do that...I tell it like it is...and get the cars anyway.
haire except the car looks nothing like an infinity and yes I have driven both. I respect a reviewer who tells it like it is and is objective but telling it like it is requires some form of factual basis.
I have a subaru wrx right now, it got in an accident and I am thinking about selling it and either getting an econobox car or a R/T charger. I already have seen your charger videos but what do you think chad? It'll be a second vehicle to my truck i use for welding.
chad haire something like a manual transmission cruze or hyundai accent (something i can depend on hopefully these new small displacement turbo 4 bangers can hold up) or god forbid a toyota ia, those kinda cars or a charger rt. The idea is to either get something fun and a nice ride or practical thatll leave me with a chunk of change after selling the car. My issue is i always hear about chrysler reliability but i see no reason why a hemi and a zf transmission would be bad... my buddies dad owns a challenger with the v6 and hes got about 50 or 60k on it and only issue hes had was an oil sender that went bad. Ive driven a charger, cruze, and the ia. Didnt really like the ia as it was an auto and torque steered pretty bad but id think having that NA 4 banger made by mazda would be fairly reliable. Thanks
Natacall I have a 2014 elantra gt, fully loaded with a 6 speed. Plenty of power for a daily commute (173hp), great fuel economy, plus "sporty-ish" tuned suspension. It's no Mazda 3, but it's enough fun to drive every day. Plus, it's got tons of great features. I'd look into it. Or, check out the elantra sport. 201hp, 6 speed manual, independent rear suspension, great features, good fuel economy, and I've heard of people snagging them for less than 20k, which is a steal. Check it out!
chad haire but the fact that the elantra sport has close to the same performance plus more standard equipment at almost 5k less, I think it's a better choice. Plus Fiat isn't known for reliability and he said he wants a reliable car. But I gotta admit, the 124 is a looker. And it sounds incredible
People dont realize that when the luxury japanese brands came out, they copied cars to get started before they could make a signature look and name for their brand. Every car brand does it, korea just came in late to the automobile industry i dont blame them
And if this is like every other car the MPG on the display is over optimistic and likely over stated by 10-20% meaning mixed driving is probably 17-18 while HWY is likely 24-25 max.
I have yet to see any display as accurate as 5% when matched against multiple tanks and manual calculations. Not that your results are not decent, just not likely as real as the display shows. I have tracked every car I have owned manually since 2000 and I have owned numerous cars and all displays were over by at least 1-2 MPG vs. real calculations.
1 mpg over at 25 mpg is 4%. difference and filling the tank has a 1 mpg variation as air pockets do not always fill the tank in the same way.....only by running the tank down to one gallon and filling until it flows over again and again will you get an accurate reading off the tank, and if you put at least 300 miles on the computer before reset there will not be much difference between tank fill numbers and conputer--trust me on this....
Totally agree about the gear shift nonsense! Why make something simple so unnecessarily complicated? Being innovative doesn't mean reinventing the wheel ppl! Keep it simple but stylish & functional! Trying to copy BMW isn't using your own creativity.
Another good solid review, and your right about the automatic gear shift, park should be on the leaver not a button, just looked at the British version and I cant see a park button so maybe us Brits are not as clever as you Americans, one other question and no its not about the S / Bumps do you intend to do a review of the 2017 Hyundai I 30.
Gerald G in 2-3 years it will lose 50-60% of its value - then its a pretty ok car for the money. I would think it's foolish to pay full sticker for this car, it's just not worth it.
Gerald: See my Q50 video..and like you say--the Infiniti "starts" at $48---remember what I said about option traps. The BMW 5 series I tested "started' at $52K, but had $20,000 in options....the G80 is a bargain..
Brian : A. Nobody pays sticker for a Korean car. B. No they do not lose 50% in 2 years..I wish... C. A BMW loses 50% in 3 years--all Luxury brands do except LEXUS. D. If you could pick up this car for $51K at end of year sale it is a super deal....
The remote start is on the phone app that you can download on your phone. It's easy to use and more convient than a remote start on the key fob in my opinion.
I dont use smart phones so it wont do any good for me...
John Hunt how can i do that in my phone by which app ?

dont wait too long, you will want that warranty before it expires.
It's more of a shock value to see it in person than a Audi, BMW or Mercedes
Great Review. The updated front end is definitely an improvement over the 17 model. However, they need to put this platform on a diet. This would improve handling, acceleration, and fuel economy.
I'd love to see Genesis make something that competes with the C63 AMG.

CatcherOfBass as they are a separate brand now I believe it’s going to be hard for germane car makers to catch up with genesis
Man I like your reviews straight forward short and Brive
You have wisdom
I know the G70 with the TT V6 is definitely up there with the C43

That outside temperature tough, looks pretty overwhelmingly hot wherever this video was taken. By the way, decent video and a very nice vehicle.
have 218 other videos to watch
Thanks for the video...
Genesis is the world most powerful car.
This is the perfect color combination for me, the Havana Red with the Grey Interior with Cooper Stitching.
the body remote start goes to a app on your phone I believe
wow I really love the color
Great review!! Nice engine sound under full throttle - sounds very refined!
How in the world is this car a copy of Infinity?

Your the best car reviewer straight forward short an breve
You have wisdom
I have 221 other videos on youtube to watch
I have a 17 G80. It'd be nice if they could figure out how to get the weight down a bit on em. 4600lbs is a hefty beast.
Its 4200lbs
Remote start is available on the app.
a it shouldnt be on an APP

Eco Box or RT? Come on--that spread is wider that Rosie Odonnells ass.
Can you narrow it down a bit here?

for $25K I think the Fiat 124 or Honda Civic Si are good buys---nice looking, good performance, and 30 mph economy....
chad haire but the fact that the elantra sport has close to the same performance plus more standard equipment at almost 5k less, I think it's a better choice. Plus Fiat isn't known for reliability and he said he wants a reliable car. But I gotta admit, the 124 is a looker. And it sounds incredible

It is rated at 25 highway and we got 24-27 on the display and most displays are accurate within 5%....what are you complaining about?

if I get it
chad haire It's unlikely for that scenario where the car rolls back into another to happen because of the emergency auto braking.
😍❤❤❤❤❤😍
Your scenario is very possible. This gear shifter is stupid. For me its a deal breaker.
SA13 Possible but highly unlikely due to emergency auto braking
+Chad Haire Have you ever considered doing a face reveal?
did that once--some teenager computer geek copied the pic and put in in a bad place.....no more
Yikes...56 large. This is a lot of car but the Q50 red sport 400 starts at 48k so I dont see the typical Hyundai value here.

This car is wayyyyy more car than the Q50. This would be more in line with the Q70 which it also outclasses for the money.
the dogs voted and said they agree
Shifter looks like fiasco...will run someone over ! How could they screw THAT up ?
Hey Chad I have a video of a plum Crazy Purple Challenger Hellcat for you.
watched--too bad you are to poor to afford it! Hahahahahaa
$60k and it doesn't even have remote start?
I asked the dogs and they dont remember
Dean M Remote start and other options are in the Bluelink app.
CHAD............................Have you retired from reviewing cars ??????
yeah--I sent my clone to take my place...
