- One of the best ways you can experience the South Rim of Grand Canyon in 3 to 4 hours is to combine walking with shuttle bus riding. Learn ways to get out to spectacular scenic views, and visit the historic Grand Canyon Village.

San Fran is a liberal cesspool. Go to Disneyland instead. Unless you want to be robbed, shot by a illegal alien or don't mind walking over human feces and drug needles.( I lived 20 min north)

Damn I'm in Anthem I have family in Arizona for 12 years and this is my first time visiting them and I was told that the grand Canyon is too far meanwhile we went to Sedona an hour closer than the canyon like wtf could have saw all this for an extra 2 hours and $10 of gas

You need to go back and tell them you're taking the car for the day! Just make that trip on your own! 😁
A helpful tip is to get there early in the morning so as not to sit in line for hours and hours to get a park pass. Even if you already have one you'll need to sit in line just to show the ranger. Sometimes they do have a special line, but not often.
That is very helpful! I have an America the Beautiful pass and visited the north rim (because I knew the south rim is so crowded) and had very little wait. I hope to make another trip back soon to see the south rim views, so that is information I might not have thought of. Thanks for the tip!

Take US 89 N from Flagstaff to the Cameron Trading Post , use the bathroom , get gas
Then
US 89 S 200 yards
Right on SR 64
Uphill to Desert View and Lipan Point which is the best place to see the Canyon for the first time
Why ?
* The River dominates the landscape
* It was the place that the Europeans first saw the Canyon
* You can see the abandoned Annasazi ruins at Unkar Creek N.Rim
*It's one of the few places in the Canyon where almost all of the geological members can be seen in one place ; Below you is the Grand Canyon Supergroup , to your NNW you can see Butte Fault and trace out the block faulting that created the Canyon , to your left you can see Horseshoe Mesa , the Inner Gorge and the beginning of the Tonto Platform
Next stop
Grandview Point
Below you is Horseshoe Mesa
If you listen really carefully you can hear Hance and Sockdalager Rapids roaring below you
Then and only then should you work your way over to the Visitors Center and do what remains of the Ranger's itinerary

I don't mind visiting the Grand Canyon it's very nice and all, but don't know if planning to work or not it depends if I'm planning to go for another job if I had different positions.

Is their busses for handicapped (power chairs)???
Park shuttle buses are equipped with ramps and space to carry passengers in wheelchairs. Please note: wheelchairs larger than 30 inches wide by 48 inches long (76 cm x 122 cm) cannot be accommodated on the buses and most motorized scooters will not fit.

"4 hours or less"??? I guess it depends how far away you live, but when we go to the Grand Canyon it will be AT LEAST five days!
Five days is a lot of time to examine a hole.
