You are right about style with everything. It has to be unique and high quality. I am downsizing and finding that it takes way to much time to list items that are not unique. I have been taking bags and bags of stuff to the box; good brand names but not wanted by the buyers. It has to be a hot cut; pattern and material to sell. I also found that if you lot up items the customers gets really cheap; and your shipping; with selling fees; end up costing you more then you are making on the items. Best just to donate and move on to something that will sell individually. Education is never ending in this business and fads change every 3 months. Something might be hot.... then not.... even within a month depending on the season and style. It is hard to throw away items; but the clutter is even harder to deal with. Also, the quality in our shops is getting worse; lots of stains, holes, and buttons missing.... being put on the racks for sale; with no returns. I had a few hours to kill while my Dad was doing dialysis and went to a few shops in our area and found nothing to sell; I have done this about four times and wasted hours looking each time. Clothing is a high skilled selling item. Everything depends on a lot of factors and changes like the wind. I give everyone that sells five stars for all their research and hard work to find those treasures among such trash in the stores. Everyone have a great year in selling.
Rebecca Shetter yes I completely agree with you! But it’s so hard to judge. Some of the things I wouldn’t be caught dead in have flown out the door....other I thought would fly just sit! It’s very frustrating. I would also add free People to that list of doesn’t sell, yet POSH is still throwing parties for it!
You are totally relaxing to watch. You Tubers annoy me with the in your face boisterous stuff. I really appreciate your calming energy! Totally followed you. Can you talk more about Relovv and why you might choose it over Posh, Merc, Ebay, etc?
Jenn Etch ahhh thank you so much! I try to keep my videos calm but not too slow / boring, so that makes me feel great! And Relovv was just in BETA, it’s user base is steadily growing & the reason I’m so obsessed with it is because everything is free shipping & you can make commission basically off of selling other people’s items. There are just so many features that make it unlike any other selling / buying platform!
I totally agree with you, I'm not into the fake smiley over-excited vibe some put out. She's to the point, matter of fact and down to earth. Thanks Honey Rags, I'm just learning and starting up, glad u popped up in my feed. Your subtle intonations remind me of my stepdad who was from Wisconsin.
Jenn Etch I so agree with you in that other people can be very annoying. I love this channel and I am so glad I am a subscriber. I have found that plus size almost any brand sells quickly for me. Believe it or not Cato plus size is a sure sell for me.
1 year later and I am amazed at how well this list has held up! Still super relevant at the end of 2020. I love picking up Stitch Fix and QVC brands also, especially Quacker Factory :)
I've got one Free People and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. My best sellers are Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Celine and Hermés. I prefer to sell less, more expensive pieces. I can buy a Chloe for $100 and sell it from $350.
Kay Gee woah there cowboy. Tighten your boot straps. They were only suggesting researching and legwork may be more affective than repetitive asking. Relax buddy.
@Debra Hazel you buy them off of people who no longer want to deal with them, They consign to you and pay them when u’r paid. Hope that helps since that lady apparently doesn’t want to help
Thanks for the video! Just found your channel and this was useful info. Keep an eye out for Duluth Trading Co especially men’s heavier items. There are way more solds than for sale on eBay which is always a great sign. Used to be mostly catalog but they are expanding retail stores.
Carolina Booth yes! Those were the first few pieces I sold on poshmark & I really just wanted to get my shop out there so I was fine with selling things for $10 but now I’m trying to increase my avg sales point!
I have good success with Eileen Fisher long cardigans, sells better on Ebay and in larger sizes IMO. I agree with most of this video on the brands for myself. Style over brand alot of times for me. Thanks for putting out great youtube content! I do sell WHBM but you kinda have to know what is current looking for that brand.
Underrated advice here (especially for those who source at thrifts) Levi's 1990's SilverTab jeans and very wide leg JNCO skater jeans from the 90's. It's worth doing some comps on these. eBay is the best place to do this search. Even with some wear, they have always done well for me.
Thank you; New Sub. I am downsizing my home and then I will be consigning next year hopefully for others. Our Goodwill and thrift stores are looking up and selling their items on line. But, we have a lot of government workers that have great clothing and would love to sell it on eBay; but just don't have the time to deal with all the work. We also have a large community of older folks that need to downsize and are asking me to help them sort and purge their items. I will be helping them share their treasures with others. I very much appreciate all your hard work in sharing your expertise. I also would love to see pictures of items that sell each week or month in a "what sold video". Thanks again for all your hard work. I hope your kindness gives you lots and lots of sales this year. This is producing lots of positive Karma with helping others.
Rebecca Shetter thank you so much! Some of my goodwills also sell online through the goodwill auctions, but they also miss lots of great stuff! You should see if there is a goodwill outlet near you 😊
Very interesting to hear your experience with these brands. Thanks for sharing! Pleoine is a Nordstrom brand and it has been a blogger favorite for about 5 years. One blogger with a big following always recommends their split shirts.
I think Pleoine does have items occasionally in Anthropologie. I feel like I’ve seen Pleoine with 66170 but I’ve also definitely seen it with a different RN.
Hi there! Your videos are a huge help to me. I’ve been on Poshmark for two weeks now. I have sold a GAP sweater and an oversized Ann Taylor LOFT sweater. Quick question though.... I have two people that have added an item from my closet to a “bundle” what exactly does that mean for me and how do I follow up to get them to purchase? Thanks!
I want to say anything New with tags, new without tags, if they are not that bad looking, usually goes fast. I understand that as shipping cost 7 dollars now. I would only buy something worth to pay the shipping too! Brand: Levis Jeans sell really well. I've sold so many levis and the shipping is very reasonable on posh as jeans are heavy. Lot of wifes shop for levis men jeans lol.
Stuart Weitzman boots are an exception. They are highly sought after and sell for big bucks. Poshmark even has showrooms for Stuart Weitzman boots. The 5050 boots have a cult following. However all of that brands boots are Bolos. So def don't overlook them if you come across any!
The only thing that I love to sell are wide calf boots. I’ve had two pairs and both sold same day. One pair were mine, I had them for 8 years and they were in rough shape.
I have gotten way more selective with Eileen Fisher but its one where I don't stay too style focused- its the content. Organic cotton and linen blends consistently sell super well for me. LOGO trips me up- I've had plain pieces flip crazy fast but I have cute stylized pieces that SIT. Thanks for the video! ❤
Haha this is everything I buy. I think it just depends on the item. There is not many brands where you buy no matter what. You have to look at each individual piece and how much you pay for them
Costco sells Lucky Brand & Costco's clothing is not attractive. I buy White House and Ann Taylor for myself, but not to resell. Thank you for mentioning Torrid & Banana Republic items. Thank you for this educational video. It was very helpful.
I sell on Ebay and Posh. I list the Ebay first, then copy and paste into Posh. Yep, when it sells, I delete it from the other platform! Been selling on both for 5 months and have only messed this up 2 times! It is worth it!
Lulu goes fast I think, but their pick up price is high. Sometimes only make 3 dollars after posh fee... So kind of a pain. Take too much budget to get one and profit not that great.
Thank you so much for this video. Your voice is absolutely calming. Your prices (based on your other videos I have watched ) are very practical and encouraging for new resellers like me. 😘
I have purchased several new Lilly dresses and sandals for way higher than I would generally pay. The cutest styles too, they just dont move for me. It took me 2 months to sell the sandals, only profiting $15. Finally sold one of the 5 dresses with an offer of $52 (listed at $130, retail $238) I took this super low offer hoping it would push the others to sell. Nope. Profit $20 --No L.P. for me anymore.
Hi, I enjoyed watching your video, was very informative. You mention finding things frequently in your area, where are you located? I am in the Chicago area.
Are your eyelashes naturally long and beautiful? Do you use a certain product to make them grow? Mascara brand? Thank you❣ Beautiful! I'm checking out Rodan and fields to buy it, "Lash Boost", --------to buy--------, but I haven't yet. Thank you! Learning a lot from your videos. Thanks for your time filming❣❣❣ I do Posh... Mercari shocked me with their price hike, .... I have 9 things there I will pull out and bring over to Posh. LuLu 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I cannot sell Torrid to save my life. I’ll list amazing pieces and get $5 offers, if any at all! I refuse to pick it up. Actually almost all plus size clothing doesn’t do well for me. Boo! And I cannot sell Banana Republic to save my life! I usually sell purses and shoes pretty quickly!
It's the opposite for me... I really struggle to sell anything that isn't at least a size 10, and 14-18 goes fastest. I wish I could find Torrid around me, but I'm in a rural area so sourcing is difficult.
I sell a lot of plus size clothes and it used to fly out of my closet. Now I'm lucky if I get $10-$15 for it. I think it's becoming over saturated now. 😭😭😭
Free People! I found the most adorable cable knit tunic sweater and it just will not sell. BeauBois for anthropology! I have the most beautiful brown lace dress buy them and it is also sitting with my free people tunic. I will never buy them again. They are both such beautiful pieces and if they were my size I would keep them. I had a brand-new Betsey Johnson dress with tags and that's out of my closet for months also. These brands are so popular but I just can't seem to sell them. It stinks because the cheesy brands like Victoria's secret and Steve Madden do great for me.
Hello, where are you located? Cause you are mentioning locations being saturated! I look forward to your response, and found this video helpful. Thanks, Sylvia
new sub i watched the whole video thanks for the information I pretty much only go to the bins now cant beat now cheap it is i end up flipping any brand i can make even a few bucks on i volume sell on posh and more selective with what i put on ebay right now i have 400 items on posh trying to get double this amount soon I live in florida near tampa st pete I dont find any of these brands that people are searching for in thrift stores i dont know if people are just poor here or have bad taste in clothing lol but i just sell what i can mall brands adidas nike VSpink my best find was last month i found 2 rap tees 2pac and r.kelly sold them the same day i listed them for $250 each on ebay $500 to the same person they bought both found at the bins i dont expect to see something like that for a long time but its out there also the way the bins works is its donations they dont have the time or main power to go though so its pretty much a treasure hunt evertime the only stuff they went though are when they bring out the racks they all have tags on them i dont even look at those everything in the bin bin has no tags i find really nice things for dirt cheap i would call it about free lol but never find these high end brands people here just are not wearing them i guess.
Michael Kors Collection sells for big bucks. Most is made in Italy. Michael Michael Kors is the diffusion line and I agree, it's nots my fave. So don't overlook the top line Michael Kors as it sells very well. BCBGMaxazria Runway sells very good for me. They don't make it anymore but you can find pieces out there still. I only pick up the Runway collection.
I just don't understand how one thing sells for one person and not for another. If people are searching for certain brands...then yours and others will show up. It doesn't matter where we live.. we sell to CA. KY OH IL so on. It is hard for me to grasp why it is so hard to sell things. Very frustrating. I try this and that to no avail. Poshmark closet. 😊 @somebodyzduff
grit and glam my fiancé was fixing his system! I did not plan on having the background music and I actually got on him about doing that when he knew I was “filming” 😭
I loved your video and thank you for taking the time to share your successes and failures with us. One request though is to either put a pic of a tag from the brand you are referring to or at least caption the name for a few frames on your video. There are some of us who are just hearing the brand for the first time maybe and are not familiar with it, so we don’t know how it’s spelled to even look it up. Especially if it’s a foreign word or a French spelling for example. Thanks again!
Debbie Holt that’s a great idea- I too am very visual with my memory, so seeing a picture of labels helps me while I’m sourcing to know what looks familiar. I will try to incorporate label images into future videos :)
Checked out Relovv. Not impressed. Great they don’t take a piece but I’m not selling to you therefore don’t care what you think. I’m not shady, I’ve sold thousands on PoshMark & Mercari, & don’t care what you “decide” to accept
Pamela Wickham Wow. You can be nicer with your words. She is providing free content on this platform. If you don't care what she thinks I don't understand why you're here?
Poshmark account: @kamshaft I am seeing your vid half a year late YT suggested it Anywho . . . I am kinda glad to know now versus buying all these famous maker brands and realizing they aren't popular or selling anymore My closet started as my actual closet - 40 years of collecting vintage I did expand to more casual and modern items as well I was thinking about starting up the Bins as soon as I move to a new apartment (in the future) but now I am re-thinking that One thing that just doesn't interest me is having a Poshmark Instagram relationship My sales are so random and few because of it I wish shipping wasn't $7 I also noticed in my last sale A notice saying Poshmark had taken out $1.80 for California sales taxes Anyways, keep up the great work everyone Happy Poshing!

Free People sells.
But select target
Items 🎯 only 😘
Can you please make a video about anthropology brands? I know they have different names but still same brand
I would like this too

Heidi Isakson I’m going to look into that! I’ve heard of it before but had no idea the comps were that great 💛
Great video and very down to earth. I totally relate to your story about WHBM and Ann Taylor! I did the same at the beginning of my reseller journey!

What’s your usual price on silver tab Jeans? I have around 25 Levi’s and came across a pair but I’m not sure what to price them :) thank you!
Thank you for your list. You are so right with soft surroundings. I find that bread and butter brands move much faster on my closet. Nonbr@poshmark.

Thanks!
Mommy's a Hot Mess Any update on your bundle sale?
Darn all of the brands you mentioned are ones I have the most of from the bins. I'm super new at this. Hopefully they sell!
Hi, new to your channel. I’m a part time seller on Poshmark! Thanks for your feedback on what is working for you!
What do you think about J. Crew and The Limited? I see these brands all the time at Goodwill but not sure if I should pick them up or not.
I saw in another video that J Crew was one of the top 10 worst selling brands. But didn't hear anything about The Limited.
I sell anywhere from one to five j crew items per day.. The larger sizes sell in less than a week.

Thank you for the tips. Really enjoy watching & learning.
I can't find any of those underrated brands where I live in Central Florida. Anyone from Florida have some advice?
Haha this is everything I buy. I think it just depends on the item. There is not many brands where you buy no matter what. You have to look at each individual piece and how much you pay for them
What are your thoughts about jewelry? James Avery?
Costco sells Lucky Brand & Costco's clothing is not attractive. I buy White House and Ann Taylor for myself, but not to resell. Thank you for mentioning Torrid & Banana Republic items. Thank you for this educational video. It was very helpful.
I’m new to Poshmark. Really helpful video. Thanks!
Interesting content but I couldn't finish watching because it was hard to hear you. It could be my Chromebook, but thought I'd mention it.
Do you list the same item on multiple platforms and then when it sells you would remove it from the other?
I sell on Ebay and Posh. I list the Ebay first, then copy and paste into Posh. Yep, when it sells, I delete it from the other platform! Been selling on both for 5 months and have only messed this up 2 times! It is worth it!
I would add Free People, Lululemon, Madewell--these used to blow out the door, but now just sit.
grit and glam ugh yes I have been sitting on Madewell 😭
Same with Anthropologie!
Like any popular brands, it becomes saturated.
Lulu goes fast I think, but their pick up price is high. Sometimes only make 3 dollars after posh fee... So kind of a pain. Take too much budget to get one and profit not that great.
Its because sellers list these brands so expensive like if the items were new
Great info, always helps to see what is moving or not moving for others.
I agree, Torrid always sells for me!
Thank you so much for this video. Your voice is absolutely calming. Your prices (based on your other videos I have watched ) are very practical and encouraging for new resellers like me. 😘

I agree about BCBG. I’ve been sitting on mine forever! If it doesn’t sell soon it’s getting donated.
Would help if you could spell some of those, thanka
Dkny, lucky, bhwm doesn't sell for me either :/
Great video. Torrid never sells for more than $9’for me but I have great luck with anything and everything lucky Brand 💕
Meredith Kiljan so many resellers swear by Lucky Brand too!
What about Ralph Lauren or St. John’s?
I am trying to listen to you on my laptop with the volume all the way up and I can barely hear you, you give good advice though thank you.
Good info but Hard to hear you. Even with my volumn buttons all the way up.
May I asked where to purchased your mannequin from?
jassy821 I actually purchased it at a closing mall anchor store!
That was so helpful, thank you!
Holly’s Hanger Poshmark of course! Thank you for watching 😍💛
Brooks Brothers is a good brand for me.
Really? I haven't picked any up but maybe I'm wrong. Whats the average you're getting for them? If you don't mind my asking?
Hi, I enjoyed watching your video, was very informative. You mention finding things frequently in your area, where are you located? I am in the Chicago area.

Jessica Dingus thank you for this tip! I love selling men’s wear so I’ll keep my eye out for Ariat :)
I LOVE NORTHFACE!
Really totally agree
I think I have all of those in my closets. Honestly I don't see much of anything that is moving on posh.
I can't hear you that well
Good info! Tfs💕
awesome video! thank you for sharing :)
J Crew
Instant flips for me
LOVE THIS VIDEO.... Thank you
torrid isn’t selling for me, asos sells, some vans sneakers,
Patagonia dress do not sell well nor for much
I just don't understand how one thing sells for one person and not for another.
I think it's a luck thing, listing the right item at the right time with the right keywords and pictures that get people to buy.
Just my opinion, but the background music is very distracting.
grit and glam my fiancé was fixing his system! I did not plan on having the background music and I actually got on him about doing that when he knew I was “filming” 😭
@@HoneyRags Men! What can you do...!Keep up the good work. Great video.
@@HoneyRags LOL! I was actually thinking that whoever was playing the music had excellent taste. Love me some Pink Floyd. ;)
I didn't even hear it! 😂
Honey Rags it’s actually very relaxing 💕 I’m a new subbie and I’m binge watching lol Great info! Posh Closet: @leonslaundromat
Watched to the end.
Your eyes look stunning!!!
Why do you source thrift stores when you can easily source direct from liquidators, wholesalers, & closeouts?!
loganlovesus which ones do you like?
Live selling Cache!
I mean great video but way too long winded just read the list and also put the names in the description just too much additional talking
Robert talbott.
💯 BcbgMaxAzaria I always buy never sells
Checked out Relovv. Not impressed. Great they don’t take a piece but I’m not selling to you therefore don’t care what you think. I’m not shady, I’ve sold thousands on PoshMark & Mercari, & don’t care what you “decide” to accept
Pamela Wickham Wow. You can be nicer with your words. She is providing free content on this platform. If you don't care what she thinks I don't understand why you're here?
-- I said nothing about her. I follow her on TH-cam. It’s the site I said I have a problem with. Ty
Not much attitude, huh?
Poshmark account: @kamshaft
I am seeing your vid half a year late YT suggested it Anywho . .
Please talk a little louder, but good video otherwise.
