Thank you so much for posting. This is an excellent video. My dad recently passed away. He always performed maintenance on the lawn equipment. It is now my job to keep things running. I have a Craftsman T240, just like the one in your video. I pulled up the video Craftsman provided... Your video is way better! I've clicked like and subscribed to your channel. Thanks again for your help!

Harley Davidson used to have an oil filter drain that you place under the filter when you remove it, it's like a trough with a hose on the end that lets you remove the filter with hardly any mess. I use it every time works great!!!

If you don't mind, a suggestion. I'm a widow, don't know what brand oils you use, links to filter, why you clamped and how you clamped one side when removing a hose. More detail as you go along. I'm trying to survive and learn, since I have to do these things on y own, since my husband passed away.

Remove the oil filter and dipstick first this where the oil can drain more freely

I have some other projects in the works right now. But, I'll make myself a note and do a video on it sometime soon. Thanks for the suggestion.

You're supposed to coat the filter cover with a thin layer of oil

Once a year do a tuneup:
    Oil change
    Oil filter
    Spark plug
    Air filter
    Fuel filter

I've always siphoned my Lawn mover oil when I do an oil change. I have a question: I have a Craftsman T110 riding Lawn mower, however, it doesn't have an oil filter have you ever heard of this or know why? Thanks, great video.

It may be the type of engine in it. Some mowers don't have oil filters. It's more common on the push style mowers though.

Is your fuel filter on backwards?

    • @SawdustSquad
      @SawdustSquad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

No, there is an arrow on it that shows which way the fuel flows. If ever in doubt, the cone shaped side usually goes towards the gas tank and the flat side towards the carb.

My question…. How the hell does your tractor look so clean??? Lmao

I just blow it off after every mow. Other than that, it's lived an easy life in the shop.

    What oil did you use

I went with the cheapest I could find at the time. It's 10-w30 super tech from Walmart.
