As a protip from someone who spilled a lot of oil the first time I did an oil change on this model, you can use an old milk jug sliced in half longwise to guide the oil away from the frame. Saves a ton of effort with clean up. There's an official part for it but most of the reviews say it spills. And why would you pay $20 for a piece of plastic when a milk jug will do a better job for free?
Quick tip… before you go to change the oil let the mower run about 5 to 10 minutes to warm up the oil. It will get the settlement particles out of the engine and also make it flow out easier if it's a little bit warm
when changing the oil, you can take a bottle of your favorite soda, cut the top so it fits underr and around where the oil runs out, cut the bottle of the bottle so it flows out into what ever container you want it to go in...and go forth young man and make no mess
Always check owners manual before any maintenance procedures. Also it helps to invest in a spark plug wire pulling tool to remove the wire to the plug, saves knuckles and cuts from happening 😊
@@f62darkstar thank you! It’s amazing how difficult it is to get any info from craftsman. I also keep reading it’s very difficult to change the oil. Is that true?
I would have liked to see how you jacked up the mower enough to change the blade. I don’t want to take off the deck. But don’t know how to lift it up to get under it with ease.
Ours didn’t come with one, either. But, then again… mine breaks within a half hour of turning it on. It’s been in the service department five times in two years. Total disappointment.
My T110 battery is draining while the engine is off. I am told to check the regulator. But I do not see a regulator or a rectifier. How is the AC converted to DC on this mower? Please help
There isn't one. It's a splash type engine. Just change oil at the start of the season. I just changed mine (T110 mower) and it took a little over a quart.
@@aroundthehouse8472 Galvinized pipe nipple. Any hardware store with plumbing supplies. Next time you do an oil change take the plug with you to match the size.

If you want you can cut one side and the bottom Out of a empty quart of oil it slides right under the drain plus like a funnel that a cheaper way to go
actually, the manual that comes with the tractor clearly states 5w30 synthetic....it also warns in bold print that using 10w30 is acceptable, however it can cause excessive oil consumption, not sure why because obviously 10w30 is thicker oil ...I have the T100 which uses the same identical engine, so I use what the manual says to use.... which is 5w30 synthetic.

It comes with funnel that attaches under plug to give flow a direction.
Mine didnt where can i get it
Just make one out of a water bottle easy peasy @@River_wylde
For the motor visibility You can remove the hood cover, pull it up and you can plug it back in when done

Just remove the ground wire from the battery. Lot easier
A secret B&S engine tip, use an oz or two of Lucas oil stabilizer in fresh oil. Runs smoother
I've always siphoned my oil out of my mower....no mess at all. Thanks for the video.
Could just use the detachable plastic drain cone that came with the mower
I use an oil pump sucker
Do you have a video about the front tire going flat.
my T100 came with a little trough to put under the oil drain to guide the oil past the frame....comes in handy
I put a nipple and a 90 with a cap on mine so I can drain right into a bucket with now mess at all.
@@kimbrooks1184 nice....good idea ..I may have to try that
I have a t100. Plan to use 10w 30. Did you buy a specific brand? Also, does the t100 use an oil filter?

Thanks very much for a great video. It covered all the information I needed for my T100 tune up!!
This was an awesome 👏 awesome video, thank you for posting this. I really appreciate it.
Good video, what was the #number for the Genuine air filter.
Tip = Small aluminum foil trough for the oil...
Idk I kinda like my rust prevention method 😆 thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try
So what was the problem at the end of video. Because I’m having the same problem
How many ounces of oil for the T 110 ?
Why didn't you remove the hood? It is made to come right off. Easier when changing spark plugs.
I would have liked to see how you jacked up the mower enough to change the blade. I don’t want to take off the deck. But don’t know how to lift it up to get under it with ease.
Sorry if already posted but there’s a drain sleeve for draining oil
There is a oil spout that comes with the mower to drain oil directly into the pan . But enjoyed the video
Lol didn't come with mine 🤷♂️
Got to hardware store and buy a 4inch pipe and a cap that what i did works great

48 ounces is what the Brigg's chart calls for total capacity.
Can you do a quick video showing where the fuse is located? My mower won't start and I think it's the fuse. Thank you
Not sure of a fuse other than maybe near the battery or behind the "dash"
Right below the dash panel at the bottom 25 amp fuse
@@richardrobinson1884It’s too bad TH-cam doesn’t allow photos, cuz I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find that stoopid fuse. 😂

What type of oil goes into this type of lawnmower

That steering bar on the right needs some re-engineering to make the oil change not so messy.
You never sharpen the new blades I never saw uou change the oil filter why
Do we have to sharpen new blades before we install them…?!?
No you don't. They are sharpened by the factory
Brand new blades don't need sharpening.... and this mower doesn't have an oil filter....

Are there no grease zerts? Don’t gotta line the bearings etc?
Only ones I know of are at the front wheels
