Metro Transit is the primary public transportation operator in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area of the U.S. state of Minnesota and the largest operator in the state. Although Metro Transit is one of the smallest transit systems for a large metropolitan area in the United States, it is ranked as one of the best.
The METRO Blue & Green Line charge the same fares as local buses. Light rail trips operate every 10 minutes throughout the day, every 10-15 minutes evenings and every 30-60 minutes overnight.

I love visiting Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Blue and Green Light Rail Trains are the best because Green goes to Downtown Saint Paul to Union Depot and Blue goes to Mall Of America and Airport stops.

I am also a light rail operator for Metro Transit and I appreciate these ride videos. I also drive the Blue Line to Mall Of America. We need more transit enthusiasts in the Greater Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

I wish I didn't have to stop at Red lights like a car but I have too. I guess light rails and subway trains are way different.

Great post! I just had a question about making a transfer. I plan on visiting from New York and taking the blue line from the airport to US Bank Stadium where I would need to transfer to the green on to get to Fairview Station. Do I have to pay extra to transfer or buy another ticket?
@DOSD Sorry for Delay response. Once you reach Stpaul Airport there would direction for light rail please follow the same. The Light rail Station is at lower level of Airport. Once you reach lower level and get into Bule line to Downtown Minneapolis and it will 9th station from Terminal. Once you get down in US Bank Stadium catch Green Line to Fairview Station. You can use same ticket for transfer no need to buy another one.

@@mn4kview387 thanks for your reply. Once I make the transfer to the green line would I have to pay extra for a transfer or buy another ticket? Im just not used to having to “activate” fares since we don’t do that in NY. Thanks!
@@dn4024 , you don't need buy another ticket to transfer. You can use same one you brought at Airport station it will be valid for two hours.
