Awesome episode! What a great story. Me and my boys had season’s tickets, made every game but one, travelled to The Hammer for Labour Day, travelled to Montreal for the Eastern Conference Final, and through it all, my oldest kept the faith that the Double Blue would come through and win it all. He was right! Much better outcome than when I tore my Leon McQuay football trading card after he fumbled the ball in the ‘71 Grey Cup. Thank you, Argos, for a storybook year. Can’t wait to see what happens next year. Need you back, 12!
As a longtime fan of sports, this tremendous team accomplishment really revealed to me, the gallantry of the athlete who believes in himself, who bides his time no matter what, who defies doubt, who maintains a high level of skill whether he starts or not, who expects the most from himself, who perseveres whether injured in the past or not, who maintains his best attitude to even the very end of a career. This game featured a Nick Arbuckle who best showed me, all what it takes to be a true professional athlete. Thanks for the lesson and my respects to all the members of the Argonaut Championship team.
