Seph lowkey might be worse than Diddy because of how easily he gets comboed. Tweek tried the Seph vs Syrup during their grind sessions over the past few weeks and it got absolutely cooked

@@KingOblivSeph beats Steve in neutral but can lowkey dies in 2 hits cause his weight, tallness and being combo food. Diddy has better disadvantage and Tweek has wayyyy more time put into him
@@benross9174 yeah Seph gets comboed really bad he's kinda like a worse min min in this matchup like always spacing but getting destroyed when he gets in

@Alex_Justly arguably the worst Steve. He doesn't have nearly the amount of play time with Steve as compared to Onin and Acola. He dropped so many confirms.

I hate that this sounds like a diss towards Syrup, but I have never heard of him until now, and I see "Top 8 Steve" and cant help but roll my eyes. I seriously hate how much this character has just poisoned my mentality. Im incurable at this rate.

20:54 Bro Chill. This man going crazy. He added Z Catch to his game no so imagine how far hes about to take it. Wait until yall see Z Catch into ZAR and the many variations to these combos and set ups. Items become a major threat once you master the many ways to use Z Catch, Z Drop, ZAR, and Z Catch Instant Z Drop(pressing A right as you Z Catch).
I only know this because I main Link and bomb is like having a puppet character once you master using its many benefits like ZCatch Instant ZDrop reseting bombs hitbox or being able to Footstool combo with bomb out of hand but close to the enemy and even perform Footstool loop easier. I also like using others items on them so a know how many of them work and can combo with both Link and Pikachu.

Man, Steve is so scary in those last hit situations. Tweek could've easily won both the games he lost but Steve just throws out so many kill moves so easily its almost impossible to avoid them all
Yeah when you can throw out a kill move in disadvantage randomly, it kind of allows you to do whatever you want

I think 1 thing that makes diddy Kong so good is that he's viable for pretty much every character.

1:32 all yall Westerners owe Acola an apology. IMO he is the only one that can use Steve. I dont mind Yonni either but the rest of these Steve players are the ones yall should be complaining about. At least Acola keeps the action up and notice none of them can use his tech. None of them will fight with wood and 2 iron. As soon as they get low they mine while Acola mines as he fights and will run out for trying to take full advantage of an advantage state.

Syrup also had a very high level ness to be fair. Even without his steve he’d probably be consistently be getting top 32s at these events although steve definitely helps his to the next level.

Tweek probably should lost 3-1 but this just lined up so perfectly for him. At 19:23, He had to charge up smash or else it wouldn't kill. But Syrup also had to poorly di it or I don't it would've killed and even before, he could've just either teched the block or landing, or roll away or neutral getup. There was so much Syrup could have done to avoid this scenario but the stars aligned and Tweek took the game and eventually the set. That is like fairytale script right there.
Game 2 he was a pixel away from closing out the last stock if his down tilt connected, and Game 3 he had a huge lead on the second stock that he couldn''t capitalize on with an early enough kill and that came down to last hit, with a f-smash barely killing. He could have easily won 3-0.
I dont know whether you recognized but Tweek used a reverse up smash, so it definitely was a very smart DI Mix up at will which also Makes it more of a skill play than just pure luck
I would ve definitely DI'd in the wrong way too myself cause of Tweek's explosive player pace, especially when being in such a disadvantage stress situation after doing a mistake/missing out the tech

Yeah it must be his panic option cause his rolls were getting read over and over again. At one point I verbally said out loud, "Don't roll" when he grabbed ledge which he did end up doing and then was smacked with a Steve forward smash. Aside from that Tweek played the match-up really well considering it's Steve favored.

Syrup is the most respectable Steve in Ultimate, he actually adds creativity to the fights instead of camping the whole game like trash Acola and Onin
And he had results before needing Steve too, so he actually understands neutral.
