I’ve always liked item play in Ultimate, but Tweek’s banana usage makes me love it even more. The ledge trapping game 1 went hard, so did his string in game 5 to take Snow’s second stock.
@@ScuffedHits Naah I play both characters well and this is solid even, Diddy Kong has a lot of moves with near unreactable burst windows like monkey flip, up b, and even dash attack. He can also play well around Mario’s very stubby limbs thanks to his fast ground speed. He’s only vulnerable in the air or offstage since his air mobility is poor and his up b gets destroyed by fireball. Mario has the combos and the offense but that only matters if he gets in which is a challenge for him since he’s the stubbiest character in the game. You can see Tweek consistently denying Snow access to his best tools for staring combos and snow was constantly forced to rely on risky reads to get around 60% or a kill, otherwise diddy would survive beyond 140%. Both players are skilled, no doubt about that, but I just don’t see either character winning the matchup. They have crazy potential but also notable drawbacks.
@@atietta how does that make sense lol. he needs to establish a lead to do that which means he has to approach. he is not beating diddy in a game of passive play
kinda surprised the hollow counterpick didn't come out on game 4. I know tweek really likes that stage and snow was heavily relying on comboing near the ledge for his early kills and its a lot harder for mario to do that without a platform there. Snow played well, I just think he was down too early to do much. that last game he was so grab happy, tweek took his last 2 stocks practically uncontested and made mario look like a winning mu which its definitely mario favored. fireball can snipe diddy's recovery and stops monkey flip, there are times where mario just lives to 140%+ and we know what rage mario can do, and cape ensures you can't just call out his landings every single time with banana without possibly getting punished.
@@sambonchie8857tbf Sonix goes aggressive when he needs to too. But Tweek's advantage state is more fun to watch because Diddy's item combos are more fun to watch than Sonix spindashing into like 4 up airs
@@sambonchie8857 you're confused. Sonix matches energy. Tweek's default is camping every time. his reactions and timings are very fast and strict but his game plan is always to slow the pace of the fight down. When ppl play aggressive against him (Shadic at LMBM) he tends to get run down until he can figure out how to camp them even harder. And when he can't do that (kola, zomba) he seems to lose
Tweek’s tag is nowhere near as cringe as some of the k-pop and anime tags some of these players have bro. The version actually represents his development as a player. gtfoh
I like when Tweek says: “it’s Tweeeking time” and tweaked out snows hair
Tweeked alll over
Big ups to Snow for the mid set pace switch. He was cooking
TWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK
welcome back zero vs ally
16:11 it feels like this moment was taken straight out of smash 4
He had the Smash 4 rage lol

16:09 yoooo he popped off
then game 5 happened
This is in R2 pools?! Bit early for these two to meet don't you think?!
Technically it is correct based on how the bracket phase is named for this tournament.
lol honestly with how stacked the bracket is I don’t even think it is
Top 33 isn't that early.
This tournament is STACKED
They fought at the end, where tweek went to winners, and snow went to losers of top 24
Tweek is too good
you get a game 5, you get a game 5, YOU get a game 5!

2:08 Bro sounds like Yuri Lowenthall here💀
9:16 i wonder if tweek couldve lived here with rising barrels
i’m so proud of tweek 😤
Tweek diddy so oppressive and plays with such great combo execution

God tweek is so sick
This matchup might be even I think. Both characters play really well against each’s weaknesses.
Im a diddy main and the common diddy consensus seems to be -.5 to -1. Its definitely mario favorite but god tweek is good at the matchup
Diddy players say mario wins but it just seems like cope ngl

I think Tweek said it’s losing if Mario plays more passively since he can wall out Diddy pretty wel

Tweek camps more than Sonix
Tweek mathches energy. If they play slow/camp he is goimg to do that. If they want to fight and play agressive he will as well.
