Your channel became quickly one of my favourite ones. Great infos and always a nice track when you're programming a groove. Everything happens so quick. No over thinking. Plain jamming. Love it. ❤
crazy how long it took the youtube algorithm to introduce this this channel to me. pretty fucking good man! also I recommend 1,.25x the speed for this song
@@AnalogKitchen , right?! At first I thought it was just me and everyone would be wondering if I got mad or something. Then I found it seemed to be all of Discord. Crazy!
I'm currently in the middle of building my home studio, once that's finished I will focus on learning to use it properly and for that I believe your patreon will be the way to go. But for now I'm so thankful for your free videos as it at least gives me something to start working on. Thank you 🙏
Great vibes AK, as always and priceless info too. ‘The force, you know, it’s got a lot of power’ yep MJ’s ‘Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough’ nice mention of Q, the Dude, I just gotta throw Bruce Swedien into the mix, the engineer on ‘Off the Wall’.
Been struggling and basically not using call and response. I did a quick search and found this vid.. love it thanks, def subbing and will be checking out the rest of your videos. Tunes a belter too ❤
Do you hint at a mixer with a build in compressor and eventually sidechain compression? I am very curious, but I don't know what you can tell at this moment.
19:07 The only thing missing now is a 70 year old hippy on LSD playing the flute lol. Psytrance and Goa Trance is awesome. I'm glad you can get that sound in your music on the fly.
The main guitar and response in Etta James - Something's Got a Hold On Me...is perhaps the best example I can think of for DJ centric logic. As an example for call&response, that is. Pretty Lights created a track called "Finally Moving" that is perhaps atleast part of the reason that sample became so iconic. I love that song and the sample dj remix culture stuff. Such a perfect bit of sound.
@@AnalogKitchen Yeah, I try not to spam too much on the discord lol (especially because the content I find is often only adjacent to melodic techno and dj centric electronic music). Don't tempt me though lol. I'll end up writing an actual thesis about desert blues or gypsy jazz or something.
Awesome groove 👍 i have a question about the rk-008. How many melodies can you record on one channel? Or better yet how many tracks can be recorded on one channel ? Thanks
Great question. I think you can use 16 midi channels per track. You can overdub as much as you’d want and/or take out notes (as long as you don’t use those on the part you’re playing). So it means with the 8 tracks you can address 8 machines. Technically I’m not sure if you could somehow route multiple midi channels to one track but imho 8 machines with automation, mutes etc should be enough
@@AnalogKitchen it’s the secret sauce for glitchy percussions and FM-baselines. It gets really great with cv-modulation, but beware of the modular rabbit hole!
Technically it could. But the versatility of the dual concentric know programming makes it simple. Push tot start stop, twist to filter up/down. The less handlings needed the more music making can commence. And it’s deep. Deeper than one might think
when you start singing and showcasing at minute 3 or something, i find it a bit hard to follow as there is this constant backround music that distracts me too much from what you are singing if that makes sense
@@LoveMeBack i did not evaluate his singing as the value is not how he sings but what about. If you are searching for good singing then a video of someone trying to help other producers for free might not be the best place for you. Try ariana grande or tom jones videos . They can sing

Glad you dig it! Stay tuned for much more!!

Thanks again!

Thanks for this insight. Very well explained. This opens up a lot of possibilities.
Glad you dig it. Stay tuned for more bro!
@@AnalogKitchen Absolutly! Question: How do I connect to the discord group? I like to know more about the mixer project.

Really cool. I will be applying this to what I do. To make better music. This can apply to many different genres and I appreciate the lesson

@@AnalogKitchen 🤦🏾
Fantastic content as always! Great groove! Which synth did you use to make the lead sound? 19:23
As it’s coming from the black box I’ve created these lead sounds ahead of time. I think it’s a combination of Serum and Diva
Great Video! Learned so much!
What’s the track in the intro?
It's called DFAM JAM 1. Grab it on my bandcamp here: analogkitchen.bandcamp.com/track/dfam-jam-v1

Thank you for all your content! Do you have a email list I can sign up for so that I can know when your mixer is coming out?
Not yet on the email list. Patreon is the only place of resource at the moment, thanks for watching!
You have a DFAM! Will search for a video of yours now ❤
In love with it too. My goodness. I was snoozing on this one

Hey man, sorry if i missed but how did you make the lead that starts at 19:15? the sound design is so sweet.
Hey @dulusmusica I’ve created it on my Daw using Serum and Diva. Then bouncing it down to 48kHz16bit for the 1010 Blackbox and off to the races we go
@@AnalogKitchen beautiful sound dude, may i ask how you got the spacing? (Reverb, delays etc etc)
👍😎
cool stuff
