  • After months of speculation, we are inching closer and closer to finally knowing the date of the general election.
Tánaiste Micheál Martin has indicated that the day Ireland goes to the polls will be dealt with by the three coalition party leaders within the next week.
His comments came after Green Party leader Roderic O'Gorman said he wanted the general election to be held on 29 November.
So with so much talk in political and media circles about the date, how are you, the voters, feeling? Do you even care when it is scheduled for?
That's a question Jack McCarron and Eleanor Mannion put to people in the Dublin Central constituency.
At the last general election in 2020, it saw the lowest turnout nationally, at 51.2%.
So how are voters feeling this time round?
