I never knew King Rama 9 was such a historical figure, I know he is well admired and his pictures are all on the paper cash but thank you for sharing that. Another great day to be alive 🙏🙏
AHH yeah mate, had to say a little something. I don't think most tourists will know what he meant to this country. Thailand was a very poor country when he came into power, now it's growing into its own superpower in this part of the world. Mostly thanks to the teachings and hope he gave us, and the relations the King had with other powerful leaders around the world. True humanitarian mate 🙏
Just another day in paradise for you guys. Mallory & Kaya were in their element helping wash the car. Nice respect to your previous King Natt. Bless🙏. I love the ice cream, man. Night market looked very cool, lots of variety. Intersting vlog guys 🌟🧡🌟
The days I used to help my aunts was my grandfather's VW Beetle were some of the best days which included listening to 80s music and going for a ride afterwards. There are a few Kings and/or Rulers that have done great things for sure. Thank you for another great video and as always hugs to the family.
Rama 9 was a great man and I am a great admirer of him. The genuine affection the Thai people have for him is really something that have to be seen to be believed
Indeed, I feel most tourists visit Thailand and don't know the significance and often Thailand gets mocked for having a monarch, but when the monarch is King Rama 9, it's a different story. He brought this country from the ground up and made Thailand a prosperous and hopeful country it is today. 😊🙏
King Rama was an amazing man, I have read so much about him and been told that he is still recognised as Father by so many Thais. My Thai friend was one who benefited from his "Kings farm projects" that sustained her family and many other. I was under the impression that his daughter still travels to the countryside with a notebook and pen as her Father had done 🙏🙏🙏
Yes Marg! He's an idol of mine and someone I strive to be like. Of course not anywhere near his calibre but I believe if everyone has the same generous heart as King Rama 9 then the world would be a much better place 😊🙏
20 years ago was my first time in Thailand and I got to see some of the good king rama 9 did. I think he was a great man. I collect notes that have king rama 9 on them. Much harder to find now.
Great video Natt! Good to see you wearing a picture of King Rama 9 on your chain. I always admire him too, and my house is filled with his pictures. Nice to see Surin's night market once again.
Nice you have no houses or buildings across the street. It looks like a quiet neighborhood… if your neighbors are not blasting their Isaan music. Yes, King Bhumibol Adulyadej was a very talented and compassionate man. Interesting background also.
Besides a few dogs it's very quiet here, occasionally there's some music but more so from nearby villages, not the moo baan itself 😊 Indeed, very inspirational! 🙏
Sak and I were in Thailand when the king died and the atmosphere was electric..the grief and emotion hit the whole of Thailand.. Trying to get to the grand palace to sign the book of remembrance was a task as every boat on the river was full with mourners for days.. I will never forget that experience for the rest of my life..I feel so blessed to be able to move to a country where the people have respect
That's incredible, what an experience to be able to witness! I wish I was in Thailand during that period, he's a huge inspiration in my life. I can imagine the feel of the whole country during that time. Absolutely, we're definitely very blessed 🙏
Another great vlog Nat & Camila. You are right about the late king, he was an amazing man who single - handedly did more for Thailand, especially the rural parts, than any other monarch before or after. He was certainly a man of the people and adored by the whole nation. One of his daughter's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, very much takes after him with her interest in the Thai People, always listening, photographing and taking notes. I shall say no more due to current Thai law. King Rama 9 was also an excellent Jazz musician and composer. He played clarinet and saxophone. th-cam.com/video/P0TDfuN09B4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6yC7RBLYsyP_aMJR The link will take you to some of his compositions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. God Bless you all 😀❤🙏
Ah yes, he was a man of many talents and also a very educated man with a lot of wisdom. I don't think there'll ever be another monarch anywhere in the world quite like him. I take a lot of inspiration from his teachings and it gives me hope for the country if we don't forget all that he taught us 🙏
A high pressure hose will clean the carport paving. Yeah well done Mallory and Kaya helping mummy and daddy clean the car. “Oo, yeah” 😅😂. “Usually I charge for this” 🤭😅. 🫣🤭. ”Oo yeah, that’s why I married him” Onya Camila 👏😅😂 he forgot the baby oil 😂😅🤭🫣😂 King sounded like a down to earth lovely man/monarch🙏🏼
Yeah we'd love a pressure washer, would be so satisfying to use 😅 Hahahaha too funny, gotta have a laugh while doing the chores 🤣 He was a true inspiration 🙏
From what I understand, Tilapia Fish is fairly common in Surin. It is usually charcoal grilled. Find a stall that sells the largest cooked ones, and ask them if you can buy one uncooked, go home and filet it out and fry it up. th-cam.com/video/sezpqRcnWkU/w-d-xo.html
We've cooked tilapia many times now, in the UK, at the farm and here in Surin. It's one of our favourites ☺️ I just need to learn how to catch them in the wild 🤣
@@NativeFarang It's not my favorite, not much flavor and the filets are not usually very big, but it's okay. The Thai way of cooking it whole over coals is probably best. For fish and chips, I like Cod, or even better, Halibut.
@@Dana-ie2bh You have to add flavour and cook it in flavour 😅 Very few meats taste good just as they are 🤣 Cooking the fish whole and having it with a mango salad and sticky rice is our favourite. Fish and Chips is only good in the UK 😂
@@NativeFarang I was a professional cook for 28 years in the American Merchant Navy. I was going by your whining about Surin not having a proper chippy.
@@Dana-ie2bh I didn't whine once about Surin not having a chippy, someone else made that comment, I simply agreed that it would be nice if it did. But it's not a necessity, I'm not gonna starve without one 😂

Thank you 🙏
I cried when King Bhumibol died. Really respected him. Everybody here in Thailand was in mourning . Sad time for months . ❤
Such an emotional time for sure, I wish I was in Thailand during that, I bet the feeling can't be explained. He's a true inspiration 🙏

Pour some pool chlorine over the mould and wet with hose and then use a bristle brush. Let it sit for half an hour and the hose it off.
We'll give this a go! Thank you for the tip 🙏
