I so want to go see the Thai boxing live.. first time I saw it on tv I was visiting a shop in our village where an old drunk Thai guy was going nuts shouting at the tv..(8 in the morning) Looks like you’re not far from the Sheraton hotel having a meal opposite Icon siam.. must admit the river vibes in Bangkok are something else..

It great to have family over to catch up good for Camila. I have a fear of monkeys i got bitten once. Mallory & Kaya enjoyed the monkeys. The Thai mma was good thing to do. Elephant ride was cool thing, fishing was relaxing. Natt, Camila you showed your guests a great time with plenty of activities to do, i think you sold it too them big time. Nat, Great going home, the girls will have some faint memories later. I carried my thai nephews in Isan when they were tiny, now my photos of them are cherished at 23 years old. You know raw meat they gin is the main reason liver cancer is rampant not whiskey drinking, so stay away from it. Poi Yai here

Great vlog as always Nat. It is always quite sentimental to go back to where your roots are. Before I came to Thailand some 13 years ago now, I decided to visit the town and area I grew up in. 60 years had elapsed and sadly much had changed although the house where I was born was still there, the fields and farms that surrounded it have long gone and been replaced with housing. The big oak tree in the back garden was still there, but the air raid shelter that I used to play in had gone. The house is now lived in by an Indian gentleman and his wife and he was happy to show me around his house and garden. I showed him where the air raid shelter had been and was now just a slight dip in the grass and the coal shed outside the back door which is now just for storage. I was even able to show him where I broke my leg when I was 2 years old and the bedroom where I spent a lot of time recovering from polio after being in an isolation hospital for months. It still had my old toy cupboard in it. He found it all fascinating. Anyway, I don't think that your village has changed much, nor will it probably for the next 30 years. You and Camila and the girls are now celebrities! Amazing how quickly the news of your arrival got around! Nice to catch up with you all again, I have missed you. Glad you still remember everyone in the village. I was too young to remember my dad side of the family that still in laos . All my moms siblings migrated to the states , Canada and France.
