Honestly, you should watch the video 'Jungkook The main vocalist of BTS' by Ida S. There are clips of him talking about his vocals and how it felt to leave home at 13 and then be the main singer of a group at 15. It is so good.💜

You are right about him being the glue that holds BTS together. He actually does all the guides for their music so yes he is in so many ways the glue that holds BTS together. Even though RM is the leader and is great at that the maknae is the one they all helped to grow up and the one that they go to when they are looking to understand the music. He also does most of the backing tracks as well as the chorus.
Jungkook bias here, not sure I would say he is the glue holding BTS together. But he is a huge part of what BTS has become.
The glue is what BTS cannot be without, and I LOVE Jungkook and he's had a huge impact on BTS, but BTS would have still been a group and functioned without him. Now, the place BTS would have been at without Jungkook is a whole otter discussion, but BTS would still have been a group.
The thing about BTS is that every member has such a vital part of BTS. It can be the group dynamic or the music production, but BTS would not be as incredible and popular without every member.
But the glue is what keeps the members functioning and motivated. RM is the obvious answer. He is the leader and the glue. And I would say the rapers are the ones that really support and helps lead with him. They are kind of the core or backbone that the vocalist blossoms around. If that makes sense.
But I like to imagine BTS as a broken mirror, and every member is a broken part.
The biggest piece in the middle is RM, then each member is glued in with him and keeping each other together.
They support different parts of the mirror, some more vital for keeping the mirror standing than others, but every piece is still just as important if you want a full morror.
It's a broken mirror without one of them, and RM is the centerpiece that keeps it all steady with each member supporting a different part of the mirror.
I hope that makes sense and that I am not coming across as diminishing Jungkook in any way💜
Edit: Also in the local line I 100% believe JK is the supporting piece of the mirror, like RM is overall.

And i think its true, coz every members have their own unique tone and JK makes their songs always have smooth transition between vocal line members or from the rap line . Through his adlibs or harmonization, he makes all members shine and the songs sound perfectly
In terms of singing and performing BTS's song? YES, it's so true.
Yes, each of them is an amazing singer.
But JK? He did so many as a main vocalist, runs the addlibs, do the harmonizations, record the guide tracks (even for the members solo), etc.
It required a great sense of him to understand what the producer exactly wants with the songs, it also required a great understanding of his hyung's voice so that his addlibs and harmonizations won't overshadowed their voices and will only make the song sound more full + beautiful.
Give him any genres, any intros, any collabs, he will do it perfectly.
Oh don't forget his mini concerts at almost each vlive he had, that's one of many factors which made fans falling in love more and more with BTS and made non fans curious about BTS 😊
@@kunilsen2519 he was speaking about musically comparing the vocalists bc jungkooks the one who records all the vocal guides which means that jungkooks voice is the literal foundation of the sound of their music. Jungkook is the main vocalist sub rapper lead dancer and the actual “center” of BTS lol jungkooks voice is layered throughout every single BTS song… blended with vocal members voices and often used for others to sing over live. BTS would not be BTS without jungkook… so jungkook bias or not…. Does not mean that you’re right and somehow matter more simply bc you’re a jk bias.
Jungkook is so under appreciated and this channel is a major example… he doesn’t hear anything exciting or highlight in his solo songs… so he thinks he can’t and won’t take the time to watch the videos we have all asked of him for like the past year. He pays no attention to jk bc he doesn’t know jk or his voice at all… and he’s calling him the glue just to have a fluff thing to say about why he totally ignores him and acts like he’s not even there lol hopefully one day he will pay attention to the things we request for a reason
Just to point out that perfect pitch isn't about hitting a note perfectly, it's a term in ear training where someone can hit a specific note without needing an instrument to give it to them, they can hear it in their head. It's incredibly hard for them to endure being in a choir because choirs tend to go flat sometimes, complete torture for someone with perfect pitch 😂 you're better off having relative pitch if you're going to sing in an acapella group. If there are instruments it's not an issue because the orchestra keeps the choir on pitch.

God, now I'm having flashbacks to my one attempt to sing along with a Shape Note Singer (who randomly decided to ad lib???) It seems intentionally flat as a form.
I don’t think I have perfect pitch (I was in a choir), but I remember it driving me nuts when someone or the group was flat or sharp. And don’t get me started riding in the car with everyone singing and someone decides to just change the key. OMGOODNESS I graduated high school 50 years ago this year and your comment brought back so many memories. 😊
Jungkook is our Korean’s national main vocal. He became a trainee when he’s 13 and became a main vocal at 15. He’s a vocal teacher of other bts vocal members. There’s no main vocal who can sing, dance and rap like Jungkook in the world. He’s our Korean’s pride.
Would be great if he watched any of the vlives, or the main vocalist jungkook by ida s video or the acapella video… any of the videos we have requested… he doesn’t seem to care to really learn about jk sadly.

There’s a stage mix version that includes the dance break. Highly recommend! I can’t pick one fave JK song, they’re all amazing! Begin, Euphoria, My Time, Still with You, My You, Decalcomania… for group songs, I love Let Go, Film Out, House of Cards and So What. For more of his raw vocals, I’d suggest watching some of his VLives which basically end up being 1-2+ hour concerts.

Been begging for him to watch his vlives bc he has such a wrong view of jungkooks voice and talent bc it’s impossible to know by listening to BTS music… it’s just sad he won’t watch these things bc jk is like his least favorite
JK probably has the best endurance of the guys and his voice is the most stable when dancing/jumping around. I think it would be cool if you react to his song Begin. The live performance during the wings tour is amazing and it’s prob one of the very rare times you’ll hear him winded but he still kills it.
I was also going to recommend "Begin" - it is simply stunning.
My favorite Jungkook solos are Euphoria and Begin. He is also prominently featured in both Magic Shop and Film Out, both of which he wrote or was the main writer. House of Cards, The Truth Untold and Zero O'clock are vocal line songs that are particularly gorgeous for the four of them.

JK was born to be on stage. He is usually better live. This is a R&B song. The main producer on it was an American producer that is known for R&B. What makes this song difficult is the runs. He has some ridiculous vocal runs in this song. There are videos that have been slowed down & count the number of notes he hit in however many seconds & it’s impressive. Also the rhythmic singing in it is very difficult.
I feel like you look for power vocals to be impressed. That’s definitely not his style of singing. He’s plenty capable of singing with power but it’s not really his style. He prefers to let the microphone do it’s job. You are correct about him being the glue. He is also the one the other vocalists go to for vocal advice & has been even when he was just a teenager.
For me personally his voice is my favorite in all of music. It is pure comfort to me. All his backstage singing without music, his vlives, singing in a car…he is immensely talented. He is a superstar & a true vocalist that can sing anything anywhere anytime with or without music.
He really just doesn’t listen to what we ask for.. we ask for vlives and covers bc it’s the only way to really hear what he can do … the main vocalist jk video… the jungkook king of acapella… bc jk in BTS gets the boring main versatile parts…. And his songs don’t cater to theatric or belting even though he’s got some of the strongest belting I’ve heard live…. In his most recent vlive where he sang the Korean ballads… holy hell… I’ve never heard any of them hit a note so high with so much power lol it’s a friggin clinic on dynamic singing from the highs to the lows…. I just wish he would listen to us about what to react to when it comes to jk . He still sleeps on him so hard

You don't understand the way my mouth dropped when I was watching this Live I was literally Jungshook! Begin is one of my favorite JK songs for sure. Thank you 💜
jungkook is one of the most versatile artists i know. ballad,r&b,pop,jazz,rock.. you name it. he's not the typical "always hitting a high note" type of singer, eventhough he can hit them in a heartbeat. he's known for his vocal agility, unique tone,vocal technique and the emotions he conveys through a song. he makes us feel things. as you said he's the one who holds the team together. you can find him everywhere in a song even as a background vocal. he is even in the chorus credits of other members' solo songs, the one who other vocalists seek advises. you can catch him harmonizing with not only the other vocalists but also the rappers. so, objectively he's the best singer in bts as his main vocalist title suggests, even the other members said so. a very talented artist ♡
- ON:E was one of their online concerts from during the pandemic. Otherwise you'd probably have heard the crowd go crazy over his dance moves. 🤭
- Left And Right isn't his first time working with Charlie Puth. They've performed We Don't Talk Anymore live together as well and it sounds amazing (of course 😏)
- And yes, JK is definitely the glue that ties it all together or as I like to call him, the story teller/narrator. He not only connects the different voices with his amazing ad libs, he also does the guide recording and then the rest of the group's vocals are recorded around his.
- It might be fun for you to see some of his other strengths as well, like his artistic or athletic side? 🤔 He's "The Golden Maknae" for a reason, a true renaissance man...and a bit of an adrenalin junkie tbh. 😅

My favorite JK moments are when he sings acapella or randomly harmonizes with someone. I enjoy his sing-a-long Vlives and the karaoke he does during their shows, too. He's always singing and it sounds so effortless! Some of my favorite songs are Still With You, House of Cards, The Truth Untold, and Stay Alive with an extra little shout out to the entire making of the theme song to "In the Soop." It's both hysterical and impressive - by all the members. Also, although I know he's just joking around, I kind of like hearing JK sing in the trot style which is a Korean style of singing. (Jin's Super Tuna is done in the trot style).
So I just wanted to touch on what you said about he knows when to put it on and when to just blend. He has actually said that himself. That on tracks, he blends with the mood of the song instead of trying to make his voice colorful. Every single one of them are outstanding vocalists, but I find that JK mixes well in all genres of music.
I love all JKs solos/covers but my fav songs are Still with You, Stay Alive ( ugh, so pretty) and Decalcomania (partial song but so so good). Oh and the cover of Falling by Harry Styles Freakin Toodles!!!! 🤓

In person he sounds even better I think. He looked so happy, bouncy, in the moment. Full of life! His smile up close (relatively I guess since he was riding by on the carts when I saw him) is breathtaking. (Also on the carts I was struck by RM’s dimples, Yoongi’s flawless porcelain skin and J-Hope is just not a real human, nobody can be that damn cool). JK is a special young man no question.

Also just for future knowledge, anytime you’re watching a video with the ON:E up in the top left corner, you are seeing a performance from their Map of The Soul ON:E online concert during covid. Some performances were prerecorded and some were completely live.
I think just jimins filter was prerecorded for the solos…. And I’m pretty sure the rest of the group stuff was live as well. The vcrs and stuff of course but everything else was live
Ughhh I love Jungkook so much. When I first was getting to know BTS, I also really enjoyed Tae and Jimin's voices, but when I started watching live videos, I got to fully appreciate JK as a vocalist. He kills it every time (and now he is my bias 💜).

It's a joke, but one of my favorite things from him is Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly). He was just hungry and waiting for his food to arrive, and uploaded that "song" in little parts. He then proceded (as the song promised) to upload a pic of the food and go to sleep. I love it because it both shows off his personality and his talent, because that's just raw JK recording on his phone perhaps, and creating a melody and lyrics on the fly

JK is indeed the backbone of their vocals. As a main vocalist, his voice is layered in all of their songs & his voice color fits any genre perfectly. Most of the time bts songs doesn’t let him show his full potential tbh. Since he can easily slide up and down with his range, they almost always use him like a bridge between tae’s deep tone and jin&jimin’s high tone. Because of that, he doesn’t always gets to show the highlights in his voice in their music. ( like his ability of doing high notes or his rich lower register, or his actual voice tone that has a little bit of rasp). That’s why i can’t wait for his solo album. He has so much to offer in terms of vocals. Btw it would be amazing if u react to his Falling cover and his Still With You song. He wrote & produced Still With You by only himself. It’s an amazing jazzy ballad.

Weird... there's a dance break in that video that got cut. I agree that JK knows when and how to flex, but I also think he really doesn't need to. His pitch, his timbre, his style and his stability... he's one of a kind. I love his singing, and my favorite of his songs are "Euphoria" and his cover of "Falling".
I don’t have a bias, I love all seven for different reasons but to me JK has the best voice Ever! Thank you for a great reaction. The part of the live where it looked cut, whoever made the video cut out the dance break 💜

You definitely have to listen to "Your Eyes Tell" I would recommend watching the live version first. It's actually so much better then the recorded version. Some of the best Vocals of any BTS song.

JK is a phenomenal vocalist. He is known as the Harmony and Ab lib KING! He does have perfect pitch. You are completely right about JK being the glue to the group. Don’t get me wrong, they all bring their own unique styles and that’s what is so incredible about them as a group. He is very humble and always talks about how he has to improve and do better. He is already a vocal legend that so many look up to at such a young age.
Kookie his solo mostly are placed somewhere in between heavily vocally and dance structured BTS OT7 songs if you have watched Begin and after Burn the Stage ep 01 you would know what I m talking about , Kookie was passing out with 2 minutes break in between he still has come out on stage to sing a song after that song they were taking off all his clothes because his body was burning ...
Since this video cuts out the dance break, you kind of lose recognizing that JK was still killing it at the end with the high notes and vocal runs EVEN AFTER DOING A BUNCH OF DANCING......the man is a vocal athlete

Next for me would be “Begin” , I think it was the first time he was on stage without the others and he more than holds his own. Also, RM helped him write the song , basically about how he feels about the others.👌
Aww man they cut the dance break out, the best part. That was that strange edit in the middle. There is a whole Magic Mike bit missing, why he seemed so out of breath. This is basically him saying to the fans he has become an adult. He didn't want to be seen as a cute kid anymore.

Jungkook's voice stands out to me the most "vocally" and tone wise
He can breath and everyone can tell that is jungkook he has such a distinct tone. Not just an "all purpose singer" who doesn't shine enough in the group and just keep bts together.
He surely is the glue of bts vocal line and rapline but also his own star 🌟 even in the recording he is backing (vocally) all the other members so they shine even brighter and makes the song the way you hear it and love it 💜
And perfect pich doesn't only mean you can hit a certain note but recognize it and reproduce it with no instrument and even the greatest vocalists do not have that perfect pitch !! it's a skill not everyone has it and he is the only one who has it bts 💜 and that just add to him being a phenomenal vocalist and that's why bts and the company chose him to be THEIR MAIN VOCALIST at a very young age and that's why he is the only one who has the right to be it. Bts knows his talent and potential more than we "the audience" know and they listened to him more than we did 💜 everyone in bts is thankful and respectful to his role and his contribution to what bts is now 💜 we are proud of you little musical genius 💜 South Korea's, BTS's and Army's pride 💜
He has no clue about jungkooks voice at all or what we are talking about bc he watched a lot of mvs and not what we ask for… it’s so frustrating bc we try to show what he’s asking for but he won’t wAtch them…. We can tell what he’s gonna like and not going to vibe with as much
You may disagree, but I think JK has a pretty decent rock voice.
His extremely high aptitude in execution @ anything he tries is his best talent. Singing, painting, dancing, sports, videography etc can be almost perfect by the numbers on his 1st try then he dedicates alot time and effort to make it the best over others & technically. I can see him thinking through each next step performing but as he matures into his own he'll free himself to getting lost and feeling himself as Jimin & JHope especially Jimin does in dance, I think that freedom attracted him over to dance. He wanted to quit singing and transfer to apprentice in dance & Jimin talked him out of it. Thank goodness b/c his pitch is the foundation to the vocal lines harmonics since the beginning. Singing -J,.V & Jin now in singing & Rap-S&JH. (JK & RM share the same style & execution) Can't wait to see how he frees and transforms in solo. Joy & fun for JK! He could dominate any genre as artists are now easily but as an artist his his own growth will blow the world wide open.
I don’t think I could disagree more with jk and thinking through moves on stage lol he’s an absolutely born performer who is known for his high energy and how completely he gets lost in the music…. The songs no matter what vibe he is fully connected….. totally dialed in. I think what you’re misinterpreting as running through counts is more jungkook performing with no live audience. Jungkook loves to be on stage with a live audience… and has the hardest time bringing the same energy in things like online concerts and I can always tell when something was prerecorded bc he has always kinda struggled with the loss of connection to army. This was the second day he performed any kind of mature choreo like this on his own and he likes to sing live for everything… this songs structuring of the lyrics and the runs is so much more difficult than it seems… it’s deceivingly difficult.
I don’t think freedom for dance had anything to do with why he wanted to dance lol jungkook was like 12.. a preteen child who had never danced or sang or trained but son sung deuk chose jk to go with him to LA for a month and do this dance camp kinda… so baby Jk came back from his experience and learning dance and thought he wanted to do that lol but since he was the only one recruited for his voice… that def was not happening lol jungkook is athletic and perceptive… he’s an observer who picks up simple things easily… it’s his thirst for knowledge that is his best talent. Jk doesn’t just become good over night at things… he obsesses over learning how they’re done… why and it’s that constant craving of new things that he finds interesting… and his dedication and hard working personality that are why he’s so good at so many things. He doesn’t pick things up and just be a total natural at everything… he finds something he can’t do that interests him… and then has to learn how to do it and how to do it well. He never says no when he’s asked to do something… where other members will say they don’t know how… and ppl stop asking them… jungkook will just say yes and then go figure out how to do it. Jungkook doesn’t care about being better than others… jungkook cares about giving each discipline the respect it deserves by actually taking the time to learn them the right way. He’s not almost perfect on his first try lol it’s an exaggeration. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone think that jk is someone thinking through steps on stage lol bc it. Oils t be further from the truth lol it’s how hobi had like 7-8 years of dance training and competing… jimin had like 4-5 of contemporary and hip hop training and jungkook debuted with less than 2 years of dance training on the dance line with them … he never had the kinda training they did … but jungkooks known for his explosive power with dance and with the incredible stage presence that he has in getting lost in the music… has matured into that performer way back when they debuted…. It’s why baby jk was given the “center” of BTS position … bc of the performer he is. All you have to do is watch a medley performance of jk commanding every inch of that stage totally content on his own lol others kinda go from member to member not fully confident to be out on their own without choreo or places they’re supposed to be…. So they find one another… but jungkook is a different performer entirely… so lost in the music and the crowd that he totally misses when the other members try to interact with him on stage. Jk doesn’t care about being better than anyone… he cares about being the best he can at anything that interests him. Your assessment is inaccurate imo.
Also rm and jungkook are not remotely similar in execution of rap lol jungkook and hobi are more alike bc they both do more melodic rapping than rm and yoongi…. He and hobi both alter their voices to sing and rap and are the only two with actual positions in both singing and rapping… they’re both sub something bc they do a lot of harmonizing and adlibs … jk doing majority of harmonizing and adlibs for both vocal and rap… and jhope doing quite a lot of sub vocal work with choruses and background vocals… the only difference is hobi is a rapper and sub vocal ,jk is the main vocalist and sub rapper… so his duties as a vocalist are a lot more extensive… but hobi is also the main dancer and dance leader… so his more extensive lies their. Rm has a wildly different style for any of jks rap parts … they’re actually a decent mix of all 3… but mostly hobi imo

"Phenomenal" is a compliment crediting his inherant & learned talents. His aptitude is off the charts but he doesn't sit on his laurels as none of them do. Always learning & growing. Always applying to cement the group. He's reached 25 & has said himself he has more to learn. He watches and learns from Jimin on the stage. Why would he if he reached what he wanted out as a dancer? Good thing is JK has support for anything he does or wants to do and the drive to do it. Great thing is it's his birthday today & nothing is better than love and admiration as shown here. To me Charlie Puth is pure pop.. JK is definitely pop but much more leaning on the r&b side..both songs are really quite different to me but it's okay if that's your take on it😊

Yeh left and right and my time are extremely different lol not exactly in the same category at all musically … jks staccato melodic rapping… his insane amount of vocal runs and layers… this is nothing like left and right lol and i think bc he is trying to pin one sound down for jungkook which is why he’s getting confused bc half the time he hears jk but he thinks that it’s Jin , jimin or v…. But it will be jk… or he will think it’s just jhope or just suga but it’s them and jk…. Or same with the vocalists… he just needs to watch what we suggest
@@blarmy827 Definitely agree My Time is a super rhythmical r&b track almost closer to rap! L&R is also rhyrhmically interesting but it's a pure pop melody and it's Charlie's sound not JK's! And good point I think he's trying to figure out JK's sound and narrow it down!
Also I believe because he might have listen to a lot of metal music he might label as pop everything that sounds radio-friendly and put that in the same category whereas for me it's totally different genres, but he may not assess as much the nuances because he was not as exposed to it before! I mean if I were to react to metal music I would be clueless and it would probably all sound the same until I get more familiar with the style so I understand!😊
But I think he's got everyone down by now, I don't think he confuses the members anymore.. correct maybe he may not realize the extent of JK's role in the group but I don't think he's that confused...
And for the video selection it's his friend Meg doing it! There are a few instances when I'm not sure why it's been selected but she overall does a good job and he'll get there eventually 😊 it's a learning curve

When you asked what happened and there was an obvious cut in the performance, he did a dance break. Whoever edited the video cut the dance break out. There's another version of this video that includes the dance break, but it splices together footage from both nights. The first night, he wore an all black outfit. It's a little jarring to me, personally, for the visuals to go back and forth between the black and the red. You may want to check it out, though, just to see what you missed in this one.

I’m new to BTS fandom and I feel like I am OT7, but my bias is JK. This is the first time I’ve heard this song, and OMG it is my absolutely my favorite. It almost sounded like he misses out on having a relationship, but at the end he is determined to have a personal life that he wants and he WILL call, he WILL hold someone. That’s what I got from this song.

I’m so sad this has only been performed for the online concert. If covid never happened then we would have gotten this song plus many others (maybe even Louder Than Bombs 😭) in concert in front of army.
But My Time is written by Jungkook (plus RM, Pdogg, and others) so it’s nice to hear his side of things from how he feels time has gone by since he was a trainee. One thing Jk can do amazingly is express his emotions in his songs, examples being Begin and Still With You

Yes, it’s what he wanted and worked for but when he can’t leave his home without finding ways to keep hidden from fans and having personal relationships is so difficult has it been worth it? I know you are into doing BTS reactions, but I have a recommendation that doesnt have to be for the channel! I'm not sure if you've ever looked into Twenty One Pilots, but when you were talking about singers who do metal screams every once and a while it made me think of TOPs lead singer Tyler Joseph. You should watch the Livestream Concert version of the Twenty One Pilots song Shy Away! or any live version of Jumpsuit. Its so good, something I think you might like!

I would recommend Jungkook's live performance of "Begin" from the Wings Tour.
I like all.of JK's solos but if I had to choose just one I would say Still With You. There isn't a MV or live to the song though.
I actually think jungkook's vocals, harmonies, backvocals makes voices of other group members stand out in songs and sometimes they stole spotlight that way. They know how to make this band stand out more vocally this way. His solo songs are excellent and he is the member i am waiting for solo album most.
The vocal runs in this song are absolutely ridiculous !! Also the rhythmic singing done by him in this song is pretty pretty difficult to do . To a casual listener this song may not be vocally impressive because the vocals here are not flashily or in-your-face kind of good . The singing here is much more technique and breathing oriented with emphasis on agility and rhythm rather than pitch or melody focused which makes the vocals even more impressive !
I strongly urge you to check out Jungkook's Vlives . His singing there is just OUT OF THIS WORLD ! They truly truly have some of the most impressive vocals I have heard from him !
Also Jungkook-The Main Vocalist of BTS by IDA S and other videos on the channel IDA S are a must watch which show his role and his ridiculously impressive vocal ability .

Have barely started your video but yes! JK is such a solid vocalist that he holds it all down, even with hard choreography his voice sounds steady as if he is barely dancing so although it isn't necessarily unique compared to the other 3 vocalist, there's a reason he is the lead vocalist because he is solid and is a talented singer. Period! 👌
His tone is unique too but since he is the main vocalist he doesn't get really highlighted like he sings the chorus , the beginning but when it comes to unique and ear catching parts V and jimin gets those I'm not saying he is a victim btw just saying

You’re right questioning the “glitch” during the performance. This was from Day 2 of their MOTS ON:E online concert. This is the only time he’s ever performed “my time”. The first night he’s in all black leather with Cuban heeled boots. Army was in shock because he looked so “adult”. His grownup demeanor went perfect with the meanings of the lyrics about growing up with BTS.

This is such an amazing song - even though they randomly cut out the dance break. I would definitely recommend the Ida S video Jungkook the main vocalist, its really shows him so well. He is so good in all of his songs - my favs are Euphoria and Begin. I love his cover of Falling, so beautiful! His vlives are amazing concerts where he's just sings (not always entirely sober, but he still sounds great!) what Army is requesting.
