This is how everything they used to do was. It was glorious. They have some great new content but the heart of their music like this is absolutely perfect.
This was a departure song. My then boyfriend dedicated it to me when I broke up with him. I didn’t realize it then, that it was love I was feeling for the first time . I had been in abusive relationships, and for the first time, someone loved me, and I tossed it. I tossed it like trash. I regret it now, and here I am years later, can’t move on from him emotionally. I get stuck in the twilight zone hearing this. I am pained, but a lesson well learned, I do deserve to be love. Everyone comes into a life for a reason, not everyone is meant to stay, thank you Zach ❤️

I remember pulling my car over in the middle of a back road to dance to this song. I turned the volume all the way up, got off my car and danced to the studio version of “Woman”

9 years of sadness since my depression and self loathing caused the love of my life to give up on me and leave. I’ll never recover. 24 years lost. My kids left with him and now I have no family. I never felt good about myself and he was too good for me… I deserved abandonment.

Songs like this always make me wonder who they were really thinking about when they were written.
This song has been so meaningful to me, and will continue to be for the rest of my life. I listend to it while my Mum was in the hospital, while I watched over her, while I spent our last days and hours together, and still while I'm trying to process saying goodbye to this marvellous Woman in my life, without ever having been able to really say goodbye to each other. It makes me feel lost and comforted at the same time, this music. Thank you, Mumford and Sons, for giving me music to soften the mourning.

I remember when I first stumbled in this song in random radio spotify playlist after I broke up in an unhealthy relationship and really felt me to remind me again to put myself in worth.
I went to see Mumford and sons last week and I had the most incredible night of my 15 years alive !! It hit me and made me feel a way I never felt before and I loved it !! So if your thinking about seeing them i highly recommend it’s worth every penny 💕
