I enjoy watching the “how to” and seeing how it gets accomplished personally. I want to get a Humvee myself pretty soon so these videos are awesome because I would be doing the work myself. Keep up the good work!

Lookin good fella, can't wait to see it all assembled!
I like the way you usually do your vidies, as a how to-ish kinda thing. But, I think the way you did this vid is appropriate because probably most of it woulda been prep and paint, lather, rinse, repeat....

Great work! Your work is looking great. I appreciate your hard work and taking time to share your progress.
What part of Texas are you from? . I'm in far west Texas.
Have duramaxed humvee, but didn't do it all myself...
Definitely liked seeing you work. These recaps are nice, but as you and and other humvee owners know, tinkering and the active parts of working on the truck is a major part of living with these wonderful beasts...lol. the technical aspect is my preference. I'm sure its more tedious to film and edit though

Up around the panhandle right now. Planning on doing some trips and shows once it's done.
Trying to get back into filming like I used to again.

Any tips on locating parts? I just purchased a M1123 and it's going to need some work. Once I receive from gov planet, first thing I want to do is change all the fluids. However there are some parts missing such as the headlights/assembly and the soft top. Great videos!

Really the best thing I found is to just google search the parts you need. There's some companies that have almost everything for parts, some forums of people selling parts, and some parts are interchangeable with the civilian hummer h1 if you do the research for them.

oof.. I just noticed the music is a lot louder on here with earbuds than the speakers I use for editing... Mental note added for next time!

How much raptorliner did you use? They sell it by the quart

    • @tossthewrench

It was 6 or 8 quarts of black for the inside. (Can't remember what size kit I ordered for this.) And the green I used 16 quarts (2 eight quart kits). Hardtop kit, hood, body, tailgate, and windshield frame all adds up quick. Can be thinned for the first coat to make it go a little farther or for a smoother texture.

What did you use to cover tailgate chains

I used a non-split wire loom and slipped it over the hook end then heat shrink the ends down so it would stay in place.
