What a fine bit of beautiful video to watch and hear. I too like the simmering "on shed" morning shots so much. Makes a body relax and ease with the day. Thanks as ever, Kenneth! You are still my favourite rail videographer.
Thank you very much for your kind comments, we didn’t manage to make it to SVR autumn gala this year being in North wales for our first super power but we will hopefully be back next year for the spring gala. Early morning before sun lite is always special at Bridgnorth.
This has to be my favourite Heritage Railway video of the decade. Thank you Ken for creating for me a scene of steam railways as they used to be in my youth.
Pennysteam, thx good to hear. Give it a suitably inspiring title such as 'Dawn on shed, steam loco preparation at UK heritage railways' then add a few human interest shots of folks stoking, greasing, oiling, poishing and watering and I am sure it would be a triumph. 😎
Never having taken numbers as a kid I was wondering if anyone could identify the two 76XXXs that took us double-headed from Aberystwyth to Chester and back around 1965, for a visit to Chester Zoo for most of the school children of Aberystwyth?

Lovely video from the Steam Gala :)
Can I obtain permission to use the title image of the engines on shed at night to paint an acrylic painting of the scene
Paul Silabon , hi, no problem, something I have been meaning to dabble in myself but not yet found the time.
Thanks Ken, if it is successful I will send you a photo, it is a great hobby, I only live in Kirton Lindsey,
