It's like any proper TRpg. The gacha is option on the online mode
@gotaplanstan to be fair, it's not easy for everyone. Many fall to temptation and spend cash. Don't get me started on how much money my friends spent on fortnite or genshin. If this person doesn't wanna go through that temptation, more power to them.
They need to earn money to make a good game..and to feed their family and pay their team and employees
If you dont like gacha, pay for a normal game and skip this. EZ peezy.
Mobile games 🤮
I feel like you tried to do a good job of covering this fairly, however it feels like you took the devs at their word. Theyre making an inherently dishonest game. Gacha systems lack integrity by their very nature. I wouldn't trust anything they say. Maybe in 3 years or so, we will actually know.
Just sell games.
Why wouldn't I take them at their word? That haven't done anything to be suspicious of yet.
Game looks gorgeous but gacha mechanics are a big red flag for me. Balance and quality game design are never top of mind for gacha devs. Hard pass.
Did you listen to anything the devs said in the vid?
@TitaniumLegman I did. To me, what they're trying to accomplish sounds insanely difficult to pull off for a dev that ultimately wants to make money off of their game, and I'll believe it when I see it. I also got completely turned off of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 due to its equally optional gacha mechanics, so this may be more of a personal gripe than anything else.
@ikefromsmashbros9237 Does not every dev want to make money off their game tho? For context, I'm with you on being wary about such things. But to me this is an interesting angle to take, and I respect the attempt. Whether they pull it off or not of course remains to be seen, but I think it's at least worth the chance to let them try.
@@TitaniumLegman I did not watch but I did read ikefromsmashbros9237's comment. So, for me? Hard pass as well. When ikefromsmashbros9237 gives an opinion, I listen. Period.
@@TitaniumLegmanI hope they can make it work; it's a very interesting idea. I just try to stay away from that monetization system in general, myself.
The sprites is a let down imo a downgrade to wotv
It definitely is. But Gumi and Squares plain dirty stye of business does not make up for it. 0.4% rates, 2,800 shards to max a unit for high lvl pvp, broken power creep, and holo VCs costing 20k vis is just ridiculous.
