This area, the stores and restaurants are really designated for really young students from elementary to junior high school. I remember hanging out here so often back in those days 😂
But there weren’t that many tourists back then. You should go inside to some of the buildings, there are a lot more things to see, like the 萬年 building.

Oh that H&M building used to be McDonald’s like 20-30 years ago, where only grandpa goes and they would just sit in there and wait for prostitutes. The prostitutes were really really young girls that were under 18.
AK, please, please, please, enough with the walks in Taipei. It's getting very old and is becoming just another infomercial. New York is calling with lots of great new venues. How about visiting Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, The Holocaust Museum, Roosevelt Island or " haunted" areas for starters? Sorry, but Taipei is getting as boring as Miami now.
