    All I can say is International made some awesome engines. My grandfather had a 1940 Model M tractor and I loved that thing!

      This particular IHC engine might not have the best service record, but I agree that most IHC equipment was very well built.

    guys I watch a lot of video,s of guys acting like it's a big deal that the motor runs . If its free and turn.s has spark and gas , it will run if it has compression no doubt it has to run, Ive started motors that haven't run in 60 years frozen up and have them running by the end of the week. sometimes the same day. you older guy no what , Im saying. glad it.s running we need to see all of these old machines running. people look at the new machines they do not compare , to the old one,s thats why there still here, heart went into making them. have a nice day guys

      A bloody superb film I came across quite by accident one day, whilst bored out my skull and flipping TV Channels.
      So glad I found it though. Very under-rated film here in the UK, not many people even know it exists let alone *seen* it!

    The tracks are pinned together with steel pins and no way to lube. Since it's metal to metal they will rust together and after sitting for a long time, it takes a bit of moving in small increments to get them freed up. Good job, enjoy the old equipment being resurrected.

    Yes you greased the tracks but you never oiled the drive chains or the tracks. Would make life a little easier. If thats a t40 or w40 engine manifolds are gonna be tough. I am a member of an IH collectors forum that may be able yo help if you cant locate one. You guys get that manifold sealed up the carb will adjust up just fine. Im very familiar with that vintage of IH stuff. We have multiple tractors from that era. Thise engines are bulletproof!

    • @andrewsobek2386
      @andrewsobek2386 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RustyRescues Theres a ton of channels fixing these things nowadays. I don't know who started the movement officially, but its definitely moving now.
      The more I watch these kind of videos, the more I realize the salvagability of these old cranes. I used to think "theres too much that could go wrong here: it's a worse money pit than a boat". Then I learned
      1. Eveything is overbuilt or rebuildable
      2. Everything else is covered in a thick layer of grease
      3. Theres a ton of commonly-available parts to these
      4. All the internals are in the 'house' so they're more "barn find" than "abandoned equipment" so long as the house is in good shape!
      Theres two like this sitting in some guys yard not too far from me. Maybe I should take a closer look at them, they may be salvageable (a Bay City and a Koerig iirc)
