Monaco GP At HUGE RISK After F1's LATEST STATEMENT!

- ▶︎▶︎ The upcoming Grand Prix in Monaco won’t arrive without its own controversial touches, as it seems like the principality race has been put under a lot of scrutiny for yet another time when it comes to its existence. Although one of the oldest and most iconic tracks on the calendar would leave a massive gap to fill, the fact is that modern-era cars are not suitable for a track shaped like this one, so with this in mind, could we see one of the last, if not the last, editions of Monaco in 2024? And if so, what should we expect from it in terms of competitiveness?

Monaco should always be there. The country literally represents f1 and also Monaco has always been in f1. It should and will never go
Yes it should it’s boring
Will stay with the 2026 regs making the cars a little smaller, then talks of 2030 going back to v8/v10s with no battery systems. The future is going towards smaller cars, so cutting this track now would probably be temporary and upset alot of fans.
no US circuit can ever be compared to Monaco...period.
Facts, the US races offer actual racing and overtakes, unlike Monaco which is a glorified car parade
As an American… damn right Monaco should be preserved at all costs. This would be like Indycar not going to the 500 or WEC skipping out on Les Mans.
F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and nothing tests drivers and mechanics like Monaco.
Monaco is as entertaining as rush hour traffic
Make the cars smaller
That compromises safety
If Monza goes, F1 is dead to me and will be to many non-casual F1 fans.
They should create special small cars for Monaco. Like slightly bigger go-karts would be fun
they should give them all go-karts for this 'track'
Have them race it in the F1 academy cars.
It’s basically a fast parade. It’s been obsolete for years. The cars are also gigantic now.
The cars are too wide. Monaco should be raced with aggregate scoring.
Cutting Monaco is would be like if the WEC cut Les Mans. You can’t just drop a leg of the triple crown of motorsport for some novelty race in an effort to appeal to a new market.
Monaco is tradition and heritage.
And absolutely boring.
It's not about the circuit it's the atmosphere the scenery the background the history the people ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
For many of us, it is about the racing
Give them tyres that only last 5 laps
Doubt it with the new regs for 2026 and then 2030
Monaco should have two mandatory pit stops to make it more exciting
It’s a half decent qualifying and that’s probably it. There is a large amount of prestige, I would agree, and the history probably means the drivers want to tick it off list etc etc. But I personally find it a very boring, slow race. There’s probably lots of arguments from nostalgia promoters but I think I’d guess there’s a growing move to want another proper race weekend for the fans, rather than an elite style yacht party where they’re wankered by the time it starts and don’t even watch the majority of it.
I’d say if it’s kept for prestige and money, fine. But put it in the middle of a triple header. Then we don’t essentially go like there weeks without a ‘race’
I don’t hear much criticism from the drivers . Why is that ?
Because Monaco is a leg in the triple crown of motorsport. It is literally one of the most prestigious races to win in all of motorsport.
Drivers abilities are tested far more than that of mechanics or engineers. Many will argue that being a world champion is more prestigious or the apex of a drivers career… every world champion who hasn’t won Monaco wishes they had. Most Monaco winners who hadn’t won a world championship sit in retirement fully content.
Monaco just means more.
@@dramageek745 Thanks !
I appreciate your reply 👍🏻
There are drivers that criticise it.
Racing in New York or, especially, Chicago would be a bad idea. The marshals need to wear body armor and have armed escorts.
Wheels in front let him pass 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Lemme help you F1....
Ahem. CHANGE THE TRACK LAYOUT! You're welcome, my work here is done
I'm not a fan of this track, it's a very boring race. If they could make some changes to widen the track at all, (Yes it's a street which makes that very difficult if not impossible.). Also DO NOT GO TO CHICAGO!! This is coming from an American. That city is a ruined, drug den warzone of crime. If you want to bring a 4th race to the US, we have a good 100+ real race tracks, Daytona, Indy, Charlotte, and on. These are large Ovals that have a proper race track interior already. Not to mention with the already built stands can seat 250,000 or more people. What F1 Doesn't need is another Street race...
As a fellow American your comment about Chicago is profoundly ignorant. It reeks of I watch Fox News they tell me Chicago is a war zone. Chicago is a big city. It has a very rough area by no means is that area reflective of the whole city. Secondly ovals are boring and not what F1 or their fans have ever been interested in racing in. There are other great tracks in the US, Watkins Glen would be nice.
I for one wouldn't be sorry to see it removed from the f1 calander it's simply not fit for purpose anymore not to mention that nearly every race is simply boring because of the non existent overtaking opportunities
Honestly, I think Monaco should just be retired from the F1 calender. It used to be a good event to watch but, it doesn't fit the modern era. Nostalgia is good, in a museum, but with the modern era its boring. I would like to watch DTM on that circuit but Formula 1 is boring to watch on that track.
Monaco 🇲🇨 is like watching a 5 car funeral.
Monaco is a shit show for the rich .
As if Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Qatar aren't for the oilers and some random rich ppl.
@@miroslavkalinov6204atleast the racing is entertaining
Monaco GP is a waste of time. What a terrible circuit.
