    I dont think 165 was par on that pitch.
    175-180 was par considering it being the WC final. Otherwise it was possible to score 190 on this pitch as well.
    Aus would have won with 175 to chase.
    So thanks to Afghanistan as well in making india win this WC.

    • @shrikrishna19993
      @shrikrishna19993 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Australia would definitely not lose from 30 runs from the 30 balls situation. But 175 was 50-50 score, Australia would not have dominated spin like South Africa they don't have Stubbs, Klassen and Miller. Australia would have needed 40-50 runs from last 5 overs. With the ball reversing anyone could have won the game in that case.

    Before Axar bowled first ball of the last over. I was wondering why he is being asked to bowl now. Before that they are hitting 10 an over in spin easily. Tactic wise I would have gone with Hardik then but happy all is well at the end 😊

  • @AbD_tta
    @AbD_tta 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    When I saw Axar and Kuldeep bowl, I thought this is SA's game to lose. They just couldn't trouble the batters and the batters were hitting the boundaries at will.
    (After watching the preshow, I thought India should have played Siraj instead of Kuldeep to begin with)

      @LovepreetSingh-nm1eo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly, always intersting to watch jarrod’s analysis, but in this one there seems a sense of innate dislike for arshdeep as a bowler.
      I mean sure QDK dismissal was an average ball, but he is saying the same about markram dismissal. So, does that mean the good deliveries are the only ones that send stumps flying?
      And to add to that when he was doing analyisis of 19th over by arshdeep 35:25 , he focused on maharaj and miller’s inability to hit the ball rather than saying a single word for how perfectly arshdeep executed yorkers and back of the length deliveries in that over.

    Not sure if anyone is the South African team possessed the calmness or the tactical prowess to pace the chase towards the close. It summarizes SA/Eng batting approach in general. Needed someone like Smith/Stokes who have multiple gears to their game to anchor one end right through the end. Agree with Jarrod, all muscle approach to batting does pay off in t20s from time to time (like when it did for brathwaite) but not all the time.

      That's what the point is. He will accelerate at the end but what if he gets out without accelerating. What he did was good but just felt that he could have done better after all he is one of the greatest batsman if not the greatest and he has the skill set. If India had lost particularly after Henrich and Miller's batting everyone would have questioned his innings. It's not like Virat did the bad thing it's just we wanted him to do better that's it

    The award of the biggest choker team in the history of cricket goes to South Africa. How can you lose from a situation where you need just 25 of 26 with 6 wickets in hand? They manage to lose from un-losable situations in ICC tournaments. So much talent in this team over the years, still they find a way to lose from strong positions.

    wasnt it brain-freeze/choking by Rohit when he refused to get Hardik into action, and kept bowling spinners to Klassen. It made no cricketing sense. Klassen has a strike rate of less than 100 against fast bowling and SR of infinity against spin. ..at least they should have got Hardik in after Quinton was out. I would have even gone for Dubey against Klassen instead of Kuldeep or Aksar

    • @monkerulz
      @monkerulz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      The boundary was at the position the whole game. Boundary rope has to be put back in the original position if moved before the next delivery is bowled. If you check shots during the Indian batting innings, you'll see the rope was that the same position as the one where Sky took the catch
