Salam 🙏🏽. I’m surprised I just found your channel 🤦♀️. Anyway, thanks for sharing this beautiful recipe. Hausa koko has always been difficult for me but you’ve given me d right recipe n confidence to do it. God bless you
thank you so much for this video please would you like to tell which Millets you used? Since there are many types of Millets I would really appreciate it ..
Sis Fauzia pls what kind of millet is that and was it dry/wet fermented corn dough? I would love to make it too. No long talk biaa....the way I will chop paa when I finally do it eerr...Thanks for sharing.👌✌❤
I used grey millet socked for 24hrs and yes you can add wet fermented corn dough before straining it if you have one cos that will be easier but if you don't have and you have fresh corn just sock it with the millet for 24hrs before blending it👍👍..No long talk biaa oh ebi tew tew 😆🤩😍😘
Ramadan Kareem Fauzia. You make everything look so easy to follow. Where do you buy your millet please? And your strainer too if I may ask. I live in the UK too. Thank you
I normally buy the millet at the Pakistani shops and sometimes I order it from Amazon. The strainer I bought from wilkos. Ramadan Kareem to you too and may the almighty Allah accept our prayers 🙏🙏

Yes you can use it just follow the same process and it will be good and please don't freeze the paste keep it in the fridge it can stay in the fridge for a longtime 👍😊 thanks for watching dear😍😘
Can the chaff derived from the straining process be used to make the Brukina pearls? Thanks so much Fauzia, you make the most intimidating recipes look so easy! You rock girl okaaaaaayyy
@@Fauziamoulaso pls what do you use the chaff for because in another video, i noticed you dried the chaff for another method of Hausa koko…or do you just dispose it
Thank you so much for your recipe 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾, I tried it and it came out soo good 😊😊... but I used a mesh sieve and it took me ages to get the chaff out ☹️.. which cloth did u use please
U are most welcome dear I used a juice strainer (cloth) but next time you can try with a muslin cloth that's also good for that and thank you for watching dear👍😍😘
I only put it in the fridge when I make it plenty and the fermentation is getting too much but if am gonna use it for days or week, there's no need to put it in the fridge. With the water too, just make sure there's always enough fermented water so you can use half of it and add water and make it to get perfect and nice one.
This is great dear. Thanks for sharing. But please help me with this question. Which other water would be use for subsequent ones since all the water was drain???
You don't use all of the fermented water on top of the millet base you will use just a bit and then you add plain water to it before you boil it so there will be some left for next time or if you think the one left is not enough for next time then add water stir but don't drain it leave in there for next time that way you will get enough for other ones M'kay in this video I did not use all the water some left on top. Thanks for for watching dear anything just let me know wai👍😘😍
The fermented water wasn't finished so I used the one left on top of it then added water to it because the more it sits, the more it gets fermented so the next use you just need a bit then you mix with water to balance the taste or else it will be too fermented 👍😊
Thanks so much for sharing Sis. I wanted to find out if I can also use the US white type of millet cuz I can’t get the Ghana type here and also if I can mix sorghum with it?
I've got millet powder from Ghana. How do I prepare the koko with the powder pls? Should I mix with water n allow it to ferment and then do it as you have in the video?
Next time let the water boil very well and also the koko mix should be thick and don't rush to stir just give it some few seconds before you start stirring it👍
You should have searched for the grey one cuz they have different types that's where i always gets mine👍so make sure when ordering you type the grey one alot of it will show up alright?
