It's kinda like how the big twist and primary motivation for Glory in "Buffy Season 5" was simply that she just wanted to go home in her home demon dimension but doesn't care if going home means destroying earth in the process.
But what if it isn't? What if she has another motive. We THINK that's what she wants because of what we know from Jinn's vision but we've Never heard her say what she wants other than to gather the relics.
I always thought in the end when the gods return Ruby would call out the gods, as for Salem and Cinder they would transport them to an empty dimension filled with nothing but space no where to go trapping them forever
I would sort of like an ending that involved something like that. Both brats being forced to confront ugly realities about their choices together after nasty battles.
I've always thought that Salam will get the relics, summons the gods and Ruby will some how convince the gods to spare humanity. I can't think of any other Good ending.
@@MasakanSolaris I think that would be more like the gods admitting they made a mistake with Salem, destroying her and giving the rest of humanity a 2nd chance.
@@MasakanSolaris Yeah, some random 17 year old girl is somehow able to convince two infinite beings that created everything to stop their original plan after thousands of years and somehow is able to make it work?.... Oh hell no....🤦
Perhaps, rather than convincing the Gods, Ruby convinces the remaining mortals to give the Gods hope for humanity. It's a bit more believable if Salem goes on the warpath before Ruby and the others return and there is, you know, less people to convince.
I actually believe Salem cant be defeated period, not in physical battle anyway. I think the end game is pretty clear, the only way for Salem to die is to learn the (importance of life and death and then may you rest), that is the condition of her curse given to her by the gods. There is no way Salem can learn the balance of life and death in her current Grimm state, that's where Ruby's eyes play a part. I believe Ruby purpose is to De-grimm Salem of that corruption and then we will see human Salem again. That's where Ozpin and Ruby have there chance of getting through to her. I believe human Salem is still in love with Ozma, if Ruby can get rid of that corruption, we will see Salem break mentality in that moment, they can get through to her and break her curse of immortality, (her learning the importance of life and death). Even Ruby's eyes can't destroy an immortal, but she can destroy Salems Grimm side. I don't believe it was ever about defeating Salem, so Jinn was correct, i believe it's about redeeming her.The holy Trinity of Ozpin Salem and Ruby, there you have it, the smaller more honest soul.
Well what do you know,I wasn't the only one after all. in all of the reaction videos I've seen no one ever thought in this particular direction, most of them just go with the"*you* can't" angle.
And to add to this, this is in part why narratively Penny had to die and stay dead. With how everything ended with Penny our beloved ginger was essentially Ruby's Ozma. Ruby pulled out all the stops to prevent Penny from dying and even had to use a divine power (Ambro) to do so, but death still came. So now Ruby, having lost so much and lost the one person she tried so hard to save she is now in the same point Salem was back in The Age Of Gods. Now Ruby is very likely in the same pit of despair Salem was and will have to find her own answer to that Pain of Loss.
Agree, in fact they still haven't explained the reason why Salem has been hunting Silver Eyed warriors and killing them.... Ok they can destroy grimm, and so? I mean this can't be the only reason, I believe Salem her self know that somehow that silver eyes represent some real threat to her "grimm" side. Maybe she has met one in the past or she is just scared since it it's the power of light it self.
OK, here's my thing with Ozma asking Jinn about destroying Salem... He says "How do I destroy Salem?" She responds with "You can't." Genies (which are clearly what Jin, Ambrosius, and the other 2 are based on) re known for being tricksters, they're very semantic about the way they answer questions or grant wishes. I think that Jinn meant OZMA can't but someone else *cough* silver eyes *cough* can. Now, I do still think that the relics will be brought together and the gods will be summoned. It would be interesting to see Ruby be the one to talk to them, I think it would also be interesting to see Oscar talk to them. At that point, I bet Oz and Oscar would have merged more so the gods would immediately recognize him. I don't think Remnant will actually be destroyed and they'll find another way to truly defeat Salem.
And for the possibility of Oz reincarnating into a silver-eyed body: Jinn cannot tell you of future events. Therefore, she could not tell Oz whether or not he would reincarnate into a Silver-Eyed warrior.
Well I wouldn't like it if Ruby made it because it's just too obvious that she's going to beat Salem we don't know what Mercury's semblence was maybe in some way he could get his semblence back and maybe that can help defeat Salem.
That’s exactly what I was thinking, the devils in the detail as seen with the genie of creation with Weiss saying a “one way ticket to Vacuo” it ended up being a one way portal. How did Ozma, in all his infinite wisdom, not think that to maybe, just maybe, think about his wishes before making them, it ended up backfiring and now Ironwood and Penny dead, Atlas is destroyed, and RWBY+Jaune+Neo are stuck in an alternate dimension.
@@kaih_the_viewer Well, I don't think you can blame all of that on Ozma. I mean, how could he know that Jinn would be that specific with her answer? Also, since the god of light gave HIM this mission, of course his first thought would be "how do I destroy Salem?"
This is so similar to my end game theory! Sorry, long post below, but I'm SO excited someone else had the same idea: I’m pretty sure Salem’s curse was unintentionally rigged against her. The gods told Salem she needs to understand the balance of life and death, but here’s the thing: their concept of life and death and that balance couldn’t possibly be the same concept as a mortal’s. They’re divine beings, immortal, incapable of dying, but not truly living, simply dwelling in their domains. How could they possibly understand the concept of mortality? Not to mention, they didn’t even bother to get to know their creations. The God of Light saw humanity as merely an experiment while the God of Darkness saw them as entertainment. They don’t understand their creations, thus do not understand the mortals’ concept of life and death. They have their own concept of it. How could Salem possibly ever understand their concept? The concept of creatures who don’t understand their own creatures, much less their way of thinking. That’s why I don’t think Salem will be redeemed. She can’t be taught something no one can comprehend. But the show RWBY is about learning, so someone WILL be learning. Through honesty, and simplicity, and connection, and diversity. Those are the themes that have been emphasized throughout the series, in tangent with the show's major theme of the soul. (A smaller, more honest soul; simple soul; like-minded soul; aura; semblances) And I believe, at the end, the ones who will end up learning from their mistakes are the Gods. I believe that Ruby will be teaching the gods the mortals’ concept of life and death and their understanding of the balance between them, and explaining why Salem could never have learned the lesson they wished to teach in the first place, which doomed Remnant, and that they need to take responsibility for their actions. They are capable of that. We see it when the God of Light tells the God of Darkness about Salem lying to him, and the latter apologized and admits he made a mistake. They don't have to do some 180 turnaround, they just have to acknowledge their actions, and take responsibility for them, and I think Ruby can do that. “How would she teach them?” you wonder. Well, the answer is simple: By setting an example. Since I’m certain that we’ll be meeting at least the God of Light on the Island, take into consideration that RWBYJN will probably be the first of the second humanity that the gods have met. If RWBYJN (yes, Neo too) can show that they can come together, they can put aside their differences, then the gods might be more inclined to listen. They could almost serve as "representatives" of sorts. Of course, that isn't the best term, but it's the best word I could come up with. “But why would the gods listen to her in the first place?” you might be asking. Well, because Ruby has a connection to the God of Light that no one else has: her silver eyes. At the very least he might consider her words knowing that she has his powers running through her veins. By forming that connection and giving them time to think, by the time Ruby summons the gods with the relics, or lets Salem summon them, they’ll have considered her words by then. She might decide that its worth it all to summon them and hope that they’ve come to an understanding and are willing to assist them in ridding the world of Salem. But it also does one more thing, one very crucial thing: it unites Salem and RWBY. I don't think they'll work with her in the conventional sense, but they don't have to, they just have to have the same intention. That will unite them, in the most basic level, and the gods never specified how "united" humanity had to be, so this would work. If their intentions overlap in, "summon the gods", then boom. United. Honestly, it'll be uniting the rest of humanity that provides the biggest struggle.
I theorize that Ruby will summon the gods infront of a desperate Salem and Ruby will stop the gods from destroying everything but request that Salem finally be killed, since that is the cause of so many of the problems in Remnant, this seems like the best possible ending for both Salem and the good guys since Salem just wants to die at this point. Also good to see uploads from you again man, is the Phoenix Festival coming back this summer?
The relic of choice is a crown that gives it's wearer "paths" to choose from. Possibly the same crown Pyrrha wore. Do you believe in destiny? That quote makes so much sense now. 😭 ___________________ I always thought that it would be Ruby to gather all four relics and talk to the gods of creation and destruction, possibly even sacrificing herself to save humanity.
It wouldn't be Pyrrha's circlet. The silhouette was shown in The Lost Fable, and it was different. Additionally, Pyrrha's Circlet was melted down and forged into Jaune's Shield. I doubt the relics would be able to melt.
This has been going on in my head over and over again that when The God Brothers Grimm return and prepare to destroy Remnant Ruby,Weiss,Blake,And Yang would Rally everyone And I mean Everyone in Remnant Humans, Faunus, and The Grimm for the gods Left everyone to defend themselves and Light and Dark think they'll stand there/aside and let them Destroy Remnant Because they believe it's still Broken and there's no point in fixing it Like Hell Team RWBY aren't gonna let this happen and If the Gods have an army of their own this will mean war between Man and God again but This Time Of Salem leading this Army of remnant It'll be Team RWBY declaring it for if this'll be the end of their world and own they'll going to Fight together in the end no matter what this act will show Light and Darkness the lesson Salem saw and learned that Divided man is lost but United together against one Common enemy that Threatens man's way of life in Remnant (that being the gods) able to even unite Man's enemies to fight alongside them when that Threat even threatens the darkness the Gods will see what they Did was Wrong and will Fix Remnant, Bring back Magic, bringing back everyone they lost, creating Corporation and peace between Man,Faun, and Grimm, release Ozpin and Salem from their Curses, and make Team RWBY the Leaders of all four Kingdoms bringing them together. Ruby leader of Vale Weiss leader of Atlas Blake leader of Vacuo or Mistral And Yang leader of Mistral or Vacuo
Tbh I would hope that when the maidens all come together, the spirits of her past daughters awakens and then some type of battle will happen to put their mother down somehow lol
I think that the Gods Will be summoned and wipe out humanity but leave Salem alive and threw some loop hole team RWBY and Salem will reach the brink of despair as her last chance of death will be ripped away from her. Either that or the Gods will see all of Humanity United against Salem and just leave satisfied with the way things are now with Grimm overrunning the planet forcing humanity together.
I’ve thought about that too, it seems pretty obvious the gods will be summoned or at least the relics brought together but what happens after that might be what nobody expects.
If Ruby does summon the gods, I hope the god of light mentions her eyes upon meeting her. Both for the parallel of when she first met Ozpin, and because, well, his own silver eyes
Something that always struck a cord with me, was the wording of You can't from Gin. Maybe in a sense, it Ozma that can not bring himself to destroying her, he has spent a considerable amount of time just keeping her at bay when he has knowledge of the relic of destruction, but has never thought of using it on her. Unless it has been stated, has Ozma tried that solution
Well I have a few things that tie into what I imagine what will happen at the end: • an incarnation of the dark god (or maybe some person with the dark god’s powers passed on from previous inheritors) appears before Cinder and shows her what her future will be. • the spirits of previous heroes or villains appear before team RWBY, Jaune and Neo to help them find the strength to fight Salem once more on the world they landed after they fell in volume 8. • at some time during the final volumes, Cinder backstabs Salem and takes the relics to beacon to find the vault. • before that, team RWBY fights Salem and Ruby fully activates her silver eyes to revert her Grimm form back to her normal human body. • the “Dark God” appears before team RWBY and Salem and reveals his history of him and the previous inheritors about why he got this power and that Salem and Ozpin (residing in Oscar) are the players in a game to decide the fate of remnant.
@@Bernix5000 all I meant is that it would give Ruby and others some time to delay Salem's plans before Fall of Beacon happens all over again. Then and there, Ozpin would have no choice but to tell the truth about Salem would then alter the timeline.
Maybe a Silver-eyed warrior could defeat her? Remember how she send henchmen to kill Maria, b/c of her eyes? Remember the Grimm/Faunus from Volume 8, that had Silver Eyes? Why else would she want Ruby dead if not because of her having silver eyes?
Idk about that cuz salem has always said to bring ruby back alive. In volume 4 she said it and cinder in volume 7 I believe told neo that salem still wants her alive. Possibly to do more experiments?
I think it was on this channel that I once commented that the Gods would be summoned, but that RWBY would talk them out of destroying Remnant. Also, just like with the individual relics, there's probably still a password for summoning the Gods once the relics are brought together; a password that only Ozma knows unless he told it to Salem when he finally told her about the judgment day.
Honestly over the course of the time salems been around ive had a feeling ruby might let her win but heres the thing i dont think shes trying to destroy the world like ozpin thinks.
Salem has had silver-eyed warriors hunted down, which means she sees them as a threat. I also do wonder why it took her so long to go after the Relics seriously when she wants to die so badly. Silver-eyed warriors can petrify grimm, so what if Salem was turned to stone for many years by generations silver-eyed warriors? Perhaps, Summer was part of a family of silver-eyed warriors whose duty was to imprison Salem in stone, but she was bested by Salem instead and failed to contain her, which is why Salem is acting in present day, and would also explain how Salem knows her. The Maidens essentially exist to protect the Relics and the Kingdoms, so it would make sense for silver-eyed warriors to have been a safeguard like the Maidens and the Vaults. Now, Ruby is one of the last silver-eyed warriors in existence, and it is up to her to either continue the cycle, or find another way to defeat Salem.
I still kinda want an epic RWBY vs Salem showdown. I don't think Ozma will be her downfall, but Ruby herself, if Salem wants to take over Ruby's body and Ruby with some momentum cognitivety takes her own life and destroys them both in the process. That's what I think, if not....then team rwby is fucked.
It sounds like you might be on the right track, but also overlooking the second main character. From day one, it’s been Ruby Rose and Jaune Arc. Outside that, I think you might be on the right track
3:00 shame Fox cancelled the show before it got interesting, but Pirates of Dark Water was intended to go that way. Two of the relics would have been destroyed, only for the heroes to accidentally find out chemically altered blood from the main bad guy's pet would repel the dark water just the same. In other words the twist was the "key" was in front of everyone all along. They could lead the monster to the lagoon, bleed it out, then throw the flask, and a safe path would be created just as if they still had the lantern and flame. Bit of adventure game logic there!
I always thought that ruby and them would unite the world against the salem and have the whole world knocking at her front door and summon the gods to show how United humanity is against evil.
A thought I always had was; if machines can be built to siphon magic from one person to another: Why not trick Salem and drain off her magic? Then you just have a grimmified immortal with an ax to grind. Have Ruby use her eyes...then use the siphoned magic to "recharge" Oscar/Ozpin's reserves. They make a fifth and final vault only they (Ozma) can open, and that cannot be altered or destroyed from the inside. Lock Salem up for good.
Strip her control of the Grimm, strip her magic, and what does Salem have left? Honeyed words, nothing more. The latter of the two we _know_ can be taken by tech or magical means, the former could potentially be stripped by silver eyes or the fountain of light. Then put her _back_ in that tower she came from.
Please NOTE: We don't REALLY Know what Salem's Ultimate goal is for the Relics. We ASSUME she wants to destroy the world to end her own existence because that's what Ozpin Thinks based on what we got from Jinn's Vision. We never HEARD Salem say that that is her goal at any point. What if it isn't? What if she has some other motive no one but her knows?
Plot twist: Salem was written in case RWBY is gonna suck, and to do that, she need the relics to reset the world back to volume one and handed by competent creator.
Jinn did say Ozpin can’t beat her. She didn’t say someone else can’t. Leads me to this idea: if Salem uses all the relics to end all life, could the opposite happen, whereas Ruby unites the relics to end Salem?
3:29 Now that you mentioned it, the gathering of the relics together to summon the gods, is extremely similar to the Dragonball universe where the gathering of the 7 dragon balls summons Shenron. Even both Shenron and the god of light are designed after the benevolent eastern dragon design. There is no way RWBY will not unite the relics together to summon the gods, in the same way that it would be unthinkable for the Dragonball show to not united the dragon balls.
i'm so sure Salem will complete her plan but the gods will see the humanity united against salem and decide not to erase Remnant and salem plan will escentially flop because of her own actions
the only real way they could thwart her without Killing her(which they can't do) would be to fling her into space, to float among the stars until remnant gets eaten by their star, or somesuch. ANYTHING else would be too non-permanent. so, yeah. short of crewby pulling something either amazing or boneheaded out of their ass(I'm leaning toward the latter) Salem will die. sooner or later. as ordained by the gods.
I would love to see Salem achieve her goal and i agree the queen of grimm will win in the end. Ps i dont think even the gods can kill salem, i believe they mess up when they made her immortal,
I love your theory ! I also think Salem will achieve her goal and bring together the 4 relics. As for the end, I think about it kinda like a fairytale : it can be a bad end, with humanity wiped out by the Gods, no matter how much everyone and especially Ruby tried to stop Salem. RWBY is full of stories with bad ends, because not everything is always happy (we saw it twice for Penny especially). But I also feel like this is not the spirit of RWBY : RWBY is about hope and moving forward, not only death and horrible realities. I feel like as a good ending, the Gods could be able to see how much Ruby has hope in her. This is hard to tell because maybe they won't try to talk, but they did listen to Salem in the past, even if they couldn't realize her wish to bring back Ozma. I think that if they're summoned, they'll take the time they need to see how is humanity : it's obviously in bad shape, and if they see Salem, Cinder, Tyrian and others they might think nothing changed. But that's the moment Ruby could have HER moment, and try to talk to the Gods, or to show them there's still people who believe in hope, in love and in life. I don't know how everything will be played out because I feel like this series is so unpredictable, but I'm really curious to see what will happen at this moment. We sure will see the 4 relics together tho. Also I love the idea of Ruby wearing the crown of choice !
each 4 of the rwby girls will hold one of the them and come together and do a group speech and save the world happy ending leaves the world as it is now. (takes the 4 relics and salem and oz with them)
A popular winning strategy is giving your enemy what he wants along with all the consequences. I can see Ruby taking this approach. Trick Salem into "winning", but ending up losing instead.
I like to think of it as Salem herself just wanting to die, as we see in her flashbacks, and then when she jumped into the Grimm pool her Grimm half wants to take everyone else with her. Like Tyrian said, Salem is destruction incarnate. If there’s a chance she can finally die and take the world with her, she’d take it.
Its me again a theory of mine: Only sliver eyed warriors can defeat her, People with sliver eyes are type of gods thats why they are rare. Thats why salam turns them into hounds. But when she met Summer it was different we can see that when jinn shows them all everything why salam turned bad and blah blah she didnt have marks but now she has marks that i think Summer did to her thats why she started to turn sliver eyed people into hounds, she must have threatened Summer by saying that she would kill the rest of her team if she did anything or reminded her of something or anything like that which made her do what we saw ruby do when Salam mentioned Summer to her in a bad way, and salam was like "haha i found a weakness now time to die Summer Rose >:)!" And than she killed summe. Ruby obviously saw the guy that Williow and whitley schnee killed by pushing the statue on it ruby is obviously now going to be scared of salam and salam now knows Rubys weaknesses: her mum, family, friends salam is obviously gonna use that as a weakness. But Ruby can use her eyes to destory salam that is if Ruby learns how to control them better which is what i think will happen in volume 9 as we see the tree but it looks special, like it can help with a semblance or magic and blah blah soOoooO they might also be a magic door in the tree that gets them back to the world rement which is probs when Everybody is saved from grief of team RWBY+Jaune being "dead" and they are all like "how r u alive you fell!" And blah blah
I can see Cinder using the relics to summon the Gods and demanding them to give her all magic left in the world all of Salems, Ospins and the maidens magic
I think Salem will have the Relics of Knowledge/Creation and everyone else will have the Relics of Destruction/Choice. Eventually, all of humanity will be united against Salem, so Oscar will do what Ozma was most afraid of, and give Salem the Relics to put a stop to the bloodshed. Then, the Brothers of Light and Darkness will be summoned back into the world, and Ruby will be able to convince them that humanity is united like they wanted, but ultimately tell them off, because of the Grimm and Salem who terrorized them which is their fault. The Brothers will ultimately accept this reality, put Salem to rest, and separate Ozma from Oscar and give him his original body back.
Acually in the epic final battle ruby uses the silver eyes to go back with salem to the choice salem made and redeems salem from the wrong choice she made that created the whole mess in the first place.
I personally think it'd be best if the Relic ends up taking her choice for granted, it's not "Will she reunite the relics" it'll forward a little bit to the gods appearing themselves, "You're not Ozma, OR Salem, yet you reunite the relics and return the gods to this world. You look like you have something to say, girl, well, what is it?" And so Ruby gets put in the situation of not "will I reunite the relics" but "If and when I do, what do I say to them" because lets face it, that's what makes Ruby special, her view of the world is... not innocent, nor worldly but... pure. It cuts through the evils and the sorrows and sees the world for what it is, a place, that without joy or sorrow both would be made lesser.
I think Jin meant that OZMA, no matter his incarnation could kill Salem, as in he couldn't bring himself to actually do it no matter what he had, he would always falter in the end.
Personally I always assumed the one way to triumph against Salem is either convince her to do the right thing, or find some way to entrap her forever. The former being the harder option cause she's deadset (no pun intended) on dying. But remember the gods told her until she learns to value life, she will never die. So maybe teaching her how important life is may be the way to stop her. That is if she's willing to listen
Theory 2:(also please remember these are only theorys) Whilst Team RWBY+jaune and Neo qre where ever they are Ruby ask Neo to write in the sand why Neo hates her and obviously she will write "You killed roman!" But Ruby explains what actually happened to her and shes like (in her mind btw) "oh i messed up im wrong she right blah blah!" Neo turns Good and Neo thinking that she wont ever see roman again as he was probably her comfort person and helped her, Ruby will probably be the same, she will help her be happy i guess but yeah neo Pretends that she is on the bad side, Ruby and cinder fight Ruby uses her eyes as a distraction than Neo can easily stab cinder in the back oh look cinder dead... finally and coz cinder would be thinking of Ruby last before she died... Ruby would get the Spring/summer/autum maiden power (i forgot which one lol) than she can fight against salam use her siliver eyes...BUT because Ruby would be first person with sliver eyes to get a maiden power she would be extra strong and her silver eyes would be able to defeat salam. But if it was that easy.
I think Ruby will turn Salem to stone. Making her Worst fear a reality. Stuck in a place she can never unite. Maybe till the gods decide she has lived long enough. And she gets to be with ozma like they wanted to .
There’s only two ways i see team RWBY winning 1) Unifying humanity against Salem or, what i feel is the much more likely scenario 2) Humanity 1.0 getting wiped out I know the gods referred to ‘humanity’ but ozma and salem were the only two left from 1.0, and the gods never specified what version they’d wipe out The second one feels weaker, significantly, but it seems on par with the quality RT’s been pumping out
RWBY: The Stalemate Theory So as we all know, both the protagonists and antagonists in the show are really powerful. And it seems like our heroes are in for a rough ride. However, if they even retrieved the relic of destruction, it wouldn’t matter in the end because Salem can always cane back. Just like Ozma can. Maybe it’ll be useful in other situations, but not if it’s directly dealing with Salem herself. Because she’s immortal and can regenerate over time. She can’t really be destroyed unless the sword destroys her corruption within her and returns her to her former state. But even that might not even work. Grimm form or not, she’s hellbent on destroying the world. No matter how long or how much effort it takes. And Ozma will keep on pushing her back, but only for a while. Neither Salem or Ozma can really win this war that’s going on because both can never be gone forever. I do believe that all four relics will be brought together. But not because Salem or Ozma won. This is why I believe the ending of RWBY will result in a stalemate. To put it in chess terms. In V6, we learn that Salem became a being with infinite life with the desire for pure destruction. If that’s the case, then Ozma would be an infinite form of life with the desire of preserving and protecting humanity. They’re similar. So similar in fact, that I can’t really see any side winning anymore. They’ll both be forever feuding with one another. Unless they can come to an understanding of their differences, I don’t think humanity will ever be united unless they themselves unite.
I think that even if Salem got all the relic but humanity united. The gods still judge humanity redeemable. I think at least Ruby and her team got the approval of two relics already, maybe Cinder does disappointed Jinn a bit. But who knows, time will tell.
This is definitely the way the story will probably go. Ruby is absolutely a trump card that Salem does not fully understand. So to say that Ruby could be the one that decides everything.. it’s more likely than I previously thought
I Believe since Ozma said How do I defeat Salem and Jin response with YOU cant. I think Ruby with her silver Eyes can. Or someone else like the gods or someone we haven't met yet can.
I've always had this theory in the back of my mind that at some point, all the maidens will have some big connection to RWBY, (so far seems to be the case. Still need to see how the summer maiden comes into play) but that at the end of the show, the maidens would either end up sacrificing themselves AND the power somehow to stop salem when/if she gets all the relics and calls the gods; or that Ruby would somehow (possibly with ozpin/oscar's help) channel all the maidens powers along with ozpins and use them in tandem with her silver eyes to stop Salem somehow. Highly doubt this would happen but it would make for an interesting final volume/few episodes and fight scenes.
As a wise 11 year old once said "there's no point in being afraid of the inevitable", honestly ever since they showed us Salem's backstory I was like "oh, so the show's going to end with Salem bringing back the gods and the love of team RWBY will convince them that human life is valuable".
Salem will never find the crown, Oz said he made it more difficult than the others to find. Glinda wears the crown on her back which makes me think she is the being of the relic or she is the relic. Glinda used glyphs in the first chapter and uses other powers through the first 3 volumes. Glyphs are a Genetic semblance or done through magic. (just my thoughts on what I have seen) Glinda is the relic or the being of the relic. What do you think about my quick little theory? please comment👍
I really wonder what the Gods will do if they were summoned. Like will they hear out the heroes or just do what they feel is right. But boi was this theory good
@@animalia5554 Long story short its an anime where peolle are chosen to have a battle royal to determine who gets to be God. And the ending, good lord it's so bullshit
I am wondering if ruby or Salem summon the Gods.....they come back and destroy humanity....but still leave Salem alive because they can't take away her immortality....how much of a bitch would that be?
I’m thinking Salem will win. She will die but I also think they will kill off most if not all of the main cast. With the exception of either Blake or Ren.
I hope this is not the end I'll be scared if RT has the audacity to do something like this or they'll could be planning something more sinister then they have now oh God please team RWBY be ok the good fans need you the fictional world of Remnant needs you I need you...."Panicked intensifies"
I think Ozpin fears that uniting Remnant against Salem wouldn't be enough to keep the Gods from destroying Remnant if they are summoned. The God of Light told Ozpin to make sure the Relics are only brought together is humanity has been united, but he never explicitly excludes Salem from his instructions. Humanity failing to teach Salem what they could not may be used as an excuse for destroying Salem. Instead of making peace and teaching Salem what the Gods could not, they waged a war against her for centuries. And it's likely at least one of the Gods may end up seeing things this way if there is no opportunity given to argue a case for sparing the people of Remnant.
It's hard to think Salem will ever win. Considering the writers keep showing the heroes always winning no matter how much they screw up and that they always right at everything. Their incompetent writing would never allow it.
Ok so, did anyone here realise that humanity is nearly united? When Salem or Ruby summons the gods, what they will see is a unified humanity trying their best to survive.
The problem I saw with that version of Ozma was he asked Jinn how can *I* destroy Salem which he was answer *HE* can not. That he misunderstood that to be that Salem can not be destroy which is incorrect. Ozma CAN NOT destroy Salem that does not mean someone or something else can not do it themselves. Ruby might figure this out or someone might just point it out that version of Ozma's mistake to her. Also what if Salem thinking that by destroying humanity she thinks it would be everyone else when really she just destroying herself. There are two kinds of humanity in RWBY, Her kind and Ruby's kind. The only ones left of Salem's humanity are herself, Ozma, and his power that manifests in the maidens. Its possible that Ozma can not destroy Salem because the process would destroy him and the maidens as well. Another problem I see with Jinn is that she answers one question however if a single question requires more then one answer than the second answer would require using one of the limited amount of questions Jinn can answer at time. Ruby would discover why and this could lead to her seem to help Salem basically kill herself but possibly try convince the Gods not to kill off Oscar and the Maidens merely remove Ozma and his power from them
Quick crazy theory that I fear might happen. Ruby gets to Wonderland. She finda the Crown of Choice Sees the future exactly like the king from Fairy Tales or Remnant Finally learns her mother's whereabouts and she'll go rogue, fighting her own fight to defeat Salem. Kind of an Eren Jager situation
Could team ruby just make a same plan as at Atlas during volume 8, using relic of creation to stop Salem permanently by teleport her to the sun. Something that maybe couldn't kill her but will trap her like until sun dying and turn supernova which take more than a million years.
Something about the Crown of Choice has me thinking. What if the choice that will be presented to Ruby (assuming that's the route the writers will go down) is malleable? Is the choice fixed for her, or is prone to change by other factors prior? If I recall from the fairytale, the woman who would save the king tried on the crown herself and was likely given a different choice to the former. I'm also wondering wether or not by the time the final volume comes, the Gods will have learnt not to jump conclusions the moment they are summoned. I mean, both brothers realised they were tricked by Salem in her attempt to resurrect Ozma. Surely, the GOL would be aware of the possibility of Salem playing a part in humanity's downfall and simply refuse to let her perish with the rest. Therefore, rendering all she has accomplished as meaningless.
I believe Salem will summon the gods but they won’t complete the human race second generation but see them united against Salem makes them cast judgement on her alone. After all somewhere I read that they could make even a worse punishment for her than her previous ones.
I can say Salem could just do the Thanos snap and all thats left is endless white nothingness then the gods would be like "Well...is this what you wanted?"
cinder will returns all the 4 relics together in salems defeat. (as the step mother but because of you I am everything with without you I am nothing foreshadowing)
The idea that Salem will get all of the relics is a reasonable one, what has been set up here in the show is something called Chekhov's gun. Which is a trope where a metaphorical gun is placed on the table and at some point by the end of the story we will see that gun be fired, the gun in this case being all the relics coming together. To elaborate further if we don't see that happen in the story of the show then instead of Chekhov's Gun we'd have the opposite of that, a Red Herring which would be an element introduced strictly to throw us off from what the real story was, but I don't see that happening.
The reason I don’t think Salem’s plan would work if she brought the relics together is because the gods cursed her with immortality as a punishment. If they came back only to see that Salem hasn’t redeemed herself in their eyes, why would they put her out of her misery?
Is it possible that Jin Ambrosias and the other 2 Brings of Relics we're notable humans of Old Humanity. A great Scholar A gifted Architect The equivalent of Kumogi or Meruem from Hunter X Hunter (an expert in strategy games who can read and predict how things will go and how to counter it) seems fitting for the relic of choice don't you think? And I have too many possibilities for what kind 9f person would be for the relic of destruction.
I'm going to call it right now as say that Ruby will bring the relics together of her own volition. Probably to the surprise of Salem. The way the series is going I don't see Salem actually loosing. With the relic of creation alone she will have something she can use to grind the remaining kingdoms to dust and help her figure out how to access the other vaults. I think it would be cool if Ruby comes to the conclusion that she needs to summon the gods herself as part of her character arc. Wearing the relic of choice will let her see her opportunity to do so and/or what she may have to decide between after the gods show up.
Ozpin asks the dumb question he should be asking "how can Salem be destroyed" not "how can I destroy." the way he asks basically said can I will destroy Salem. this is just me thinking that Salem can be destroyed by something or someone but not Ozpin himself. the key to his question is I.
I personally think that Salem will get the relics and summon the gods back to Remnant, but by the time that happens, humanity will be united with one common enemy: Salem herself. Would that not both break Salem's curse and spare humanity?
It’s always weird hearing Salem’s motive because this whole thing is, in essence, one really elaborate suicide attempt
It's kinda like how the big twist and primary motivation for Glory in "Buffy Season 5" was simply that she just wanted to go home in her home demon dimension but doesn't care if going home means destroying earth in the process.
Just like how Dracula did in castlevania
True
But what if it isn't? What if she has another motive. We THINK that's what she wants because of what we know from Jinn's vision but we've Never heard her say what she wants other than to gather the relics.
@@yukiotacon2846 yep
With all the guns in the RWBY series, the most important one is Chekhov’s
Yang seal of pun approval XD. Boooo! XD
Ruby talk-no-jutsuing the gods into not destroying humanity would be the biggest cop out ever.
Oh hell no....🤦
@@MasakanSolaris- well actually they really do have to convince the god to spare humanity.
My theory too
agreed
True
And for the possibility of Oz reincarnating into a silver-eyed body:
Jinn cannot tell you of future events.
@@kaih_the_viewer
Well, I don't think you can blame all of that on Ozma. I mean, how could he know that Jinn would be that specific with her answer? Also, since the god of light gave HIM this mission, of course his first thought would be "how do I destroy Salem?"
This is so similar to my end game theory! Sorry, long post below, but I'm SO excited someone else had the same idea:
I’m pretty sure Salem’s curse was unintentionally rigged against her.
(A smaller, more honest soul; simple soul; like-minded soul; aura; semblances)
And I believe, at the end, the ones who will end up learning from their mistakes are the Gods.
Well, the answer is simple:
By setting an example.
I have to agree on that theory of your love it. And I really absolutely hope your right.
In addition to this, Ruby will also chew the Gods out for giving Ozpin an impossible task.
I think her curse will break, but she won't die right away or age right away. I think she'll live a few more decades and find a reason to live.
The relic of choice is a crown that gives it's wearer "paths" to choose from. Possibly the same crown Pyrrha wore.
Do you believe in destiny?
That quote makes so much sense now. 😭
___________________
I always thought that it would be Ruby to gather all four relics and talk to the gods of creation and destruction, possibly even sacrificing herself to save humanity.
It wouldn't be Pyrrha's circlet. The silhouette was shown in The Lost Fable, and it was different. Additionally, Pyrrha's Circlet was melted down and forged into Jaune's Shield. I doubt the relics would be able to melt.
This theory about letting Salem win due to Ruby's choice sounds like an "Avengers Endgame" kind of ordeal
Infinity war not endgame
Ruby leader of Vale
Weiss leader of Atlas
Blake leader of Vacuo or Mistral
And Yang leader of Mistral or Vacuo
Considering how things have gone so far I think it is highly likely that Salem's goal will be accomplished
Salem when she sees jaune with the relic of destruction
Salem: "give me relic"
Jaune: "you'll get your relic when you fix this damn sword!"
I think that Oscar and Ruby will have to deal with the gods and call them out about making Salem Immortal. And for the other stuff.
I agree the gods leaving the grimm is the best option without some sort of enemy man would grow restless and turn on themselves
I never thought about it this way. This is a good prediction and I think I agree.
I always wondered if only someone with silver eyes can destroy her. Jen said "you can't." Didn't really say no one can, but that's just a theory
Nice picture of Neo
I used to doubt that, but after the 'portal is one way because we weren't more specific' situation, I firmly believe that.
Well I have a few things that tie into what I imagine what will happen at the end:
• an incarnation of the dark god (or maybe some person with the dark god’s powers passed on from previous inheritors) appears before Cinder and shows her what her future will be.
I love those ideas I think all of that is possible I can't wait to see what happens next time on RWBY
Theres one thing when you mentioned ozmanand jin that i think we are overlooking. She said YOU cant. that could mean that he cant. Which makes sense.
Raiden: SHE… MUST… WIN…

Can there be a timeline rebooted in this series? Cause I'd be interested if that happens.
@@reds3a374 the gods just nuke the world and restared and it wasnt the first time it happened
@@Bernix5000 all I meant is that it would give Ruby and others some time to delay Salem's plans before Fall of Beacon happens all over again. Then and there, Ozpin would have no choice but to tell the truth about Salem would then alter the timeline.
@@reds3a374 that would be awesome
Maybe a Silver-eyed warrior could defeat her? Remember how she send henchmen to kill Maria, b/c of her eyes? Remember the Grimm/Faunus from Volume 8, that had Silver Eyes? Why else would she want Ruby dead if not because of her having silver eyes?
Idk about that cuz salem has always said to bring ruby back alive. In volume 4 she said it and cinder in volume 7 I believe told neo that salem still wants her alive. Possibly to do more experiments?
Will you make a video on what ozpin semblance could have been or what semblance Oscar will get
I think it was on this channel that I once commented that the Gods would be summoned, but that RWBY would talk them out of destroying Remnant.
It's shounen story telling 101. The main villain always achieves they're plan and the hero finds some way to work things out in the end.
@@alternative915 feel good now? Done with your worthwhile contribution to the human experience there? Good .. Thank you for your unsolicited reply.
@@jonjohns8145 err.., are you? Refer to yourself?
I have believed for a long time that the relics will be brought together and the Gods will return. It just won't end the way Salem wants it to.
the only real way they could thwart her without Killing her(which they can't do) would be to fling her into space, to float among the stars until remnant gets eaten by their star, or somesuch.
Its me again a theory of mine:
Only sliver eyed warriors can defeat her,
People with sliver eyes are type of gods thats why they are rare.
But Ruby can use her eyes to destory salam that is if Ruby learns how to control them better which is what i think will happen in volume 9 as we see the tree but it looks special, like it can help with a semblance or magic and blah blah soOoooO they might also be a magic door in the tree that gets them back to the world rement which is probs when Everybody is saved from grief of team RWBY+Jaune being "dead" and they are all like "how r u alive you fell!" And blah blah
i don't think Ruby will have to make a choice; it will be Cinder. She'll be a key character in this story.
Honestly at this point, I really hope she does. I really don’t care for Ruby and the others and after what happened to Ironwood, I hope Salem wins
You look like you have something to say, girl, well, what is it?"
And so Ruby gets put in the situation of not "will I reunite the relics" but "If and when I do, what do I say to them" because lets face it, that's what makes Ruby special, her view of the world is... not innocent, nor worldly but... pure. It cuts through the evils and the sorrows and sees the world for what it is, a place, that without joy or sorrow both would be made lesser.
I think Jin meant that OZMA, no matter his incarnation could kill Salem, as in he couldn't bring himself to actually do it no matter what he had, he would always falter in the end.
the only real way i see salem being stopped, or at least delayed long-term, is taking one or more of the relics, and dropping them into the ever after
I also think Ruby Rose will make the difference choices that will decide the fate of Remnant and bring the relics together.
Keep in mind there is RWBY and then Zombie RWBY. How Monty wanted it to end vs how they now want it to end.
I have always theorized that QRWBY would lose. The lyrics in V1-V3 songs heavily imply it (plus a lot of V3 songs foreshadowed the Fall of Atlas)
Theory 2:(also please remember these are only theorys)
Whilst Team RWBY+jaune and Neo qre where ever they are Ruby ask Neo to write in the sand why Neo hates her and obviously she will write "You killed roman!" But Ruby explains what actually happened to her and shes like (in her mind btw) "oh i messed up im wrong she right blah blah!" Neo turns Good and Neo thinking that she wont ever see roman again as he was probably her comfort person and helped her, Ruby will probably be the same, she will help her be happy i guess but yeah neo Pretends that she is on the bad side, Ruby and cinder fight Ruby uses her eyes as a distraction than Neo can easily stab cinder in the back oh look cinder dead... finally and coz cinder would be thinking of Ruby last before she died...
Kind of like Zeref and Mavis from Fairy Tail.
There’s only two ways i see team RWBY winning
1) Unifying humanity against Salem
or, what i feel is the much more likely scenario
2) Humanity 1.0 getting wiped out
I know the gods referred to ‘humanity’ but ozma and salem were the only two left from 1.0, and the gods never specified what version they’d wipe out
The second one feels weaker, significantly, but it seems on par with the quality RT’s been pumping out
i really hope jaune gets the sword relic since he uses old fashioned swords
RWBY: The Stalemate Theory
So as we all know, both the protagonists and antagonists in the show are really powerful.
Unless they can come to an understanding of their differences, I don’t think humanity will ever be united unless they themselves unite.
my theory is that the Relics will be bought together and will not work as will each use their power drains that much further
What if they just leave and take away the maidens power and Salem immortality leaving her to live out the rest of her life
I think that even if Salem got all the relic but humanity united.
But boi was this theory good
Ótimo vídeo
I think that the gods will turn out to be the bad guys! Playing with them all like they are puppets!
Honestly after hearing about the nihilistic ending of platinum end, Salem just flat out winning isn't off the table anymore
That’s under the assumption the gods would allow her to win, which I don’t believe in the slightest
What’s platinum end?
@@animalia5554 Long story short its an anime where peolle are chosen to have a battle royal to determine who gets to be God. And the ending, good lord it's so bullshit
I am wondering if ruby or Salem summon the Gods.....they come back and destroy humanity....but still leave Salem alive because they can't take away her immortality....how much of a bitch would that be?
If her goal is to die, does she not think the gods would be spiteful enough to keep her alive?
I’m thinking Salem will win. She will die but I also think they will kill off most if not all of the main cast. With the exception of either Blake or Ren.
Is it coz Ren is Monty here?
@@mikedanielespeja6128 no just because it would be really cool to have an epilogue with Ren. So kinda a Monty thing I guess but not really
She finda the Crown of Choice
Sees the future exactly like the king from Fairy Tales or Remnant
Finally learns her mother's whereabouts and she'll go rogue, fighting her own fight to defeat Salem.
I thought it meant Ozma in any incarnation won't will be able to it will be up for a different person at least to plan
A great Scholar
A gifted Architect
The equivalent of Kumogi or Meruem from Hunter X Hunter (an expert in strategy games who can read and predict how things will go and how to counter it) seems fitting for the relic of choice don't you think?
And I have too many possibilities for what kind 9f person would be for the relic of destruction.
I'm going to call it right now as say that Ruby will bring the relics together of her own volition. Probably to the surprise of Salem. The way the series is going I don't see Salem actually loosing. With the relic of creation alone she will have something she can use to grind the remaining kingdoms to dust and help her figure out how to access the other vaults. I think it would be cool if Ruby comes to the conclusion that she needs to summon the gods herself as part of her character arc. Wearing the relic of choice will let her see her opportunity to do so and/or what she may have to decide between after the gods show up.
so is the end of Remnant....if it is well it's hopeless.😞
Ozpin asks the dumb question he should be asking "how can Salem be destroyed" not "how can I destroy." the way he asks basically said can I will destroy Salem. this is just me thinking that Salem can be destroyed by something or someone but not Ozpin himself. the key to his question is I.
I personally think that Salem will get the relics and summon the gods back to Remnant, but by the time that happens, humanity will be united with one common enemy: Salem herself. Would that not both break Salem's curse and spare humanity?
Humanity will be united.. just like the Gods wanted.. all due to them wanting to defeat Salem.
Jinn answers questions bluntly the question is how does one break the protection how to free Salem not destroy but def kill her after she is free
