Thank you all so much for 100k ❤ Alec put together an extra long intro on this one for everyone asking for a ‘b-roll’ only compilatin style video! Let me know what you think of this talking head style video, I’ve got so many stories to share of shoots from the past that I’d love to put into video form!
It's the shop tours I appreciate the most on your channel, you give the owners the respect and space to air their story, but you also provide context and fill in any potential gaps in our knowledge with your commentary.
This was an awesome upload (and epic intro)! Thank you for sharing your story. I first discovered your work from the SpeedHunters days so very glad to see you're still around and following your passion.
Dude, this long intro just kills. I would watch hours of this. The feel, the music, the photography, it's just fantastic. You should make a video sometime that's just all these clips stuck together for like a half hour. Legendary.
If there's anyone who deserves 100k and more, it's you, Dino! Thank you for bringing us all the good stuff that you have during all these years on SH and now here on YT.
What makes you unique and one of the best automotive channels on YT is your authenticity. It feels like there’s no facade, we’re seeing the real Dino and subsequently it makes the story authentic. Looking forward to more stories! Congratulations!
Well done and congratulations on your hard work and efforts Dino. I've been lucky enough in my life to visit Japan a few times and live out there for 6 months during the early 2000's. And certainly as Dino mentions there wasn't much coverage of stuff available from Japan at that time and the internet was a lot more limited. I remember being overwhelmed at the variety of cars you can see out and about in Japan - from seeing my first RWB Porsches and not knowing what Rauh Welt was, seeing a GT style R32 rumbling through the streets, a 959 parked on a side street, seeing dekotora for the first time to cars being blessed at shrines and stumbling across Daikoku Parking area before I ever knew it was anything special. It was very fun and exciting as it was discovering what was unknown to me. There is a wealth of things to see out there that without the internet coverage we have today completely blew me away. Thanks for helping to bring this out to a wider audience Dino, both through TH-cam and Speedhunters. Keep it up mate!
Seeing all the shots in the beginning felt so nice, since I recognized almost all of them from your videos. I subscribed to your channel out of interest for JDM cars but with every new upload this channel broadened my horizons and showed me cars and stories I have never even heard about! The quality and detail You and Alec provide is such a nice change to other automotive channels. So congrats on hitting the well deserved 100k!
Thank you for doing the TH-cam thing. Someone who's lived and breathed this stuff for so long, knows so many people and knows the history (much of it first-hand) is such a treasure for us to have at a time when JDM hype is so high and people parroting hear-say nonsense is so commonplace.
Congrats Dino! I've been watching since quarantine before i even knew i was into japanese cars as a new real life hobby. You've really helped keep the magic of learning something new everyday, alive. You've been a great teacher. Thank you
Love your channel! Still the best on YT for Japanese car culture in my opinion! Been a long time follower of your work since the GTROC days and happy to say I've met you a couple of times in Japan during my visits. Thanks for sticking to it!
I've said before how much I like your channels vibe. Chilled music not 'in your face' loud stuff, chilled presenting not jumping around making it about you. A proper adult channel, may it continue to grow.
As a fellow car enthusiast living in Japan, this is super inspiring. I love your story: how you get to sit down with other car enthusiasts and hear their stories. Living in Okinawa, I see that there are a lot of cool cars and good stories to be told here. This inspires me to do what you do.
Getting ready to watch the video and wanted to say thanks for all the great content. Best car channel there is 🔥. Was wondering if there is any plan to do Merch? T-shirts, posters, etc… even something as simple as a key chain.
What a blessing this channel is. Grew up following your articles on Speed Hunters as it was difficult to get informaton and hi-res images from Japan in late 2000s / early 2010s. So glad the TH-cam channel is working for you and looking forward for future videos 💪
100% deserved. You just have an eye for the special photo. Your videos are always so relaxed and chilled. From the background music to the editing, everything is just right. The 100k is just the beginning. This could turn into something really big.Keep it up ✌🏼
Well deserved Dino 👏 you're truly an automotive luminary and a key figure in documenting automotive history! Thank you for all of the videos and photos to date!
Thanks for everything over the years Dino. I’ve followed you on and off since 2007. I appreciate all the past content and really enjoying all the current content. 🍻
Suggestion… a weekly Friday afternoon “B” roll compilation to get subs into the mood for some weekend driving/ spannering. Should be around 2mins long. Canepa does a weekly video of approx 3mins of workshop footage & it’s a great inspiration to watch on a Saturday morning to get energised for garage time (although their music is dreadful & it’s mostly stills). Perhaps a good approach for “shorts” but remember to uncheck the box to notify subs, otherwise it narrows the circulation to potential subs.
Just came accross your channel today mate. As an Aussie Mechanic turned Heavy Combination truck driver who lives and breathes automotive and the roads who used to have a 180sx here in Australia in my younger years this hits the spot just right for me. Your work is fantastic. Liked and Subbed and keep up the amazing cinematrography work brother.
Congrats on reaching 100k! Thank you for documenting all the insane car culture that Japan cultivates. Your videos inspire me to still chase after my teenage goals of moving to Japan one day, and live the "JDM Dream".
You've always been a role model for me for photography. Your photos always had a good feel, clean and a true representation, honest, maybe the best word. I really enjoy how that has now transfered to video and kept those qualities. On top of that, the stories and narrative carries that same message. The transition must have been difficult, but necessary. Good luck and well done.
Great intro, great video. We all appreciate your content, its consistent quality. I really enjoy your sort of behind the scenes type ones like the recent watanabe visit, and the garage/tuner interviews. It’s clear you have gained huge respect in order to get this kind of access and that comes across in what you get back from the people being interviewed. Fantastic
Just wanted to say, your features on SpeedHunters was one of my inspirations to get into the car photography side of the scene and it's so cool to find out that you have YT channel all these years later! The juxtapositions of your shots are still absolutely incredible. Can't wait to see more of your work!
You are hands down my favorite channel, I look forward to your next video as soon as I’m done watching the last one. Thank you soo much Dino for the content you bring to us, a huge congrats to you on this milestone!🎉 I hope you continue to bring us more and more as the years go on.
Been watching for years!!!!!!!! It’s insane how much the channel has evolved!!! Congratulations Dino🔥 I also would wanna cover car culture one day as well, every video you make is just a masterpiece.
Deserving of everything you've achieved and much more ahead, Dino! Keep up the phenomenal work ethic, and your knowledge/ discussions are always extremely appreciated, bro. You didn't stumble into orchestrating one of the absolute best car culture channels on TH-cam accidentally! Thank you, Dino, and I am always looking forward to your future content.
Dino you are such a key influence to my passion for shooting cars and photography in general, i used to study your work on speedhunters for hours, you and the speedhunters team showed me what i wanted to do in my free time. Thank you mate
First, congrats Dino on this achievement. I have been following you since the Speedhunters days and it has definitely help me discover car culture in the world and even to me start on small steps on writing about car culture, so thanks a lot and I hope you keep it up!
You've really had a much larger effect on people and the culture beyond more than just this last decade. Some of your first work I can remember was that old photo shoot on the Amuse shop from the mid 2000s. Back then, this was the only real way to get close insight into such a halo tuner and cars that for so many folks only had a view through Gran Turismo. Thanks for your committed work over the last 2 decades; it truly deserves respect.
Thank you 🙏 Amuse was a special one. Those last few shop visits and demo car shoots Tanabe really took time to driven me around, explain his process and scare the shit out of me with his insane driving. He was a legend, too bad Amuse is no more, but for sure his brand and vision really left a mark in the aftermarket world.
A big heart felt congratulations Dino to you and your team and of course your family to get you to this point in time. It’s always great to watch your videos and I appreciate that it takes lots of behind the scenes work to create. Onwards and upwards. Keep living the dream.
Congratulations Dino! Amazing content, always enjoy your deep dive and behind the scenes into car culture in Japan and especially in SE Asia! Can't wait to see what's next!!!
Your story is much nicer than mine. So many great opportunities that you were able to act on. I'm really glad to see you doing so well, I had no idea how much you've done with car culture, congratulations.
Great video Dino, it’s really good to see you’re getting the recognition! I don’t remember when I got here exactly but it was fairly early on. I remember I first found your videos through Larry and I knew you would grow quickly on yt. Truly world class videos and content! Keep up the grind we appreciate you!
What a beautiful intro. I could watch it for hours. It totally could be part of a much bigger media production, like a Gran Turismo or something like that. Congrats Dino, and thank you for your beautiful work!
Congrats on 100k Dino. I've been an avid reader and viewer of your photos/articles on speedhunters for years and I've loved watching your videos here on youtube. Often when looking at the articles I'd wish I could hear the cars and see/hear the environment in Japan. Would love to see an ASMR video of some of these cars just chilling in the countryside or even the city sometime! Keep up the great work!
hey from Dublin , Congrats lad , your hard work is bearing fruit , as a Photographer with a drifting problem , your content is unique and inspiring , you capture what it means to be part of the drifting family community . its really great work . the land of the rising Sun Japan , has given the world its car culture that has come to the land of the setting Sun Ireland , this connection between 2 islands on the opposite side of the world is again unique and inspiring . i really enjoy your content , the music is 10 out of 10 , production is so strong , but your eye for composition is why i come back every time .
Dino, you have been defining JDM culture (or at least defining the west's view of it) since before the concept of a TH-camr even existed. I'm glad you're having success here too, but you are already a legend!
I would love past stories of yours! Can still remember the feeling of reading your early Speedhunters posts, I was always in awe and it definitely fuelled my love for cars. Thank you
Speedhunters was a huge influence on my love for cars. Had no idea it was created from the Need For Speed games, but totally makes sense now. You’re a legend Dino!
Congrats Dino. happy to see that your rapid growth in YT is coming along well, car culture around the world has come a long way and crazy to see that the people who used to geek out countless of hours on speedhunters back in the day now own the cars that they used to dream of. can't wait to see more cool og shops and other hidden gems in japan
i'm 38 years old and i remember seeing your name in magazine like modified mag back in the 2000's i've always love your story and your photo love your work dino, i am happy that thing are going well for you and hope for more blessing in your life men
You came along at a great time with a great eye, able to get the shot we didn’t know we needed of our dream car on a dream road….thanks for all you do.
Man I could watch like almost the first 4 min of this on a loop, such amazing stuff! As a want to be car photographer it would be a dream to shadow you for like a week cause I want to come to Japan so much to visit. Congrats on the milestone it's well deserved.
Started following you when i was googling car pictures back in 2007 or 2008. You never knew how much your photos influence to someone till today! Appreciate your works sir! Keep it up and keep on influencing 😉
First of all, mad grats on the 100k, well deserved. I got introduced to your channel through the work you do with Larry Chen. Now, I'm looking forward to every video you release. Also, a Sony "shooter" i might add. Loved hearing you talk about Gatebil,Keep up with the stellar work and being a great ambassador for the car culture🤙🏻
Congratulations with reaching 100k 🎉 You really deserve it, because you are so yourself in the videos and your information is very interesting and fresh. The shots are very cinematic and compositions are beautiful with playfull light. Keep it up. Greetz from the Netherlands.
Been following your work since the Super Street days, congrats on the 100k and thank you for bringing us so much entertainment! (And not being an annoying automotive TH-camr, we have too many of those)
Been a fan from Speedhunters for awhile and subbed right away when I saw you on TH-cam. Definitely deserve all the success coming your way and I really love the sort of down-to-earth, classic vibe your photography brings regardless of modern cars or tech. It really brings them to life in a relatable way, and your respect and mannerisms really let the people you're interviewing get comfortable and show off their personalities and craft. Need a duel between you and Larry now that you moved away from Canon though lol.
I look at this more as "How Dino changed car culture". You've been such a gateway for so many of us for so many years, its very humbling to finally move to Japan and see what you've been doing for 20+ years already.
Mind blowing, all your videos are high quality, the cars, the people, the scenery 🥇🏆🍾 Keep it up bro, 🤗 much love from Austria, from another car lover😜 🍻
Thank you all so much for 100k ❤
Alec put together an extra long intro on this one for everyone asking for a ‘b-roll’ only compilatin style video!

We used to say that video games looked real. Now we say real life looks like the game😂. The intro compilation is immaculate

This channel and Alexi, Noriyaro are the only two car channels i watvh religiously
Add Alec from @noplansco and I am the same lol
How about Dino’s SpeedHunter OG buddy Larry Chen’s Channel??? He also living his best YOLO in bringing us tremendous content!
If there's anyone who deserves 100k and more, it's you, Dino!

Dino's content on point as always! Congrats with the 100k
Not here to make demands but please finish Project GT-R and rip it for us! It deserves it.
Thank you! And yes need to do just that lol
Thank you for doing the TH-cam thing. Someone who's lived and breathed this stuff for so long, knows so many people and knows the history (much of it first-hand) is such a treasure for us to have at a time when JDM hype is so high and people parroting hear-say nonsense is so commonplace.
Happy you touch on that as there is a lot of misinformation out there.
Congrats Dino! I've been watching since quarantine before i even knew i was into japanese cars as a new real life hobby.
You've really helped keep the magic of learning something new everyday, alive. You've been a great teacher. Thank you

It really brings them to life in a relatable way, and your respect and mannerisms really let the people you're interviewing get comfortable and show off their personalities and craft.
Need a duel between you and Larry now that you moved away from Canon though lol.
Thanks so much for following for so long! Sony vs Canon uh lol
Congratulations! I loved Speed Hunters back in the day and really enjoy the channel! Thanks for continued excellent content!

I look at this more as "How Dino changed car culture". You've been such a gateway for so many of us for so many years, its very humbling to finally move to Japan and see what you've been doing for 20+ years already.
