Cheers for the concise info Duncan, we're planning the move sometime this year, and looking forward to your next video regarding the visa application process.
Hi there Duncan, this was very interesting and will help in a lot of ways. We are the two Scots who live in Germany. We‘ve bought a House in La Alfoquia, and we are moving on the 7th of Feb. Our Lawyer in Spain is going to help with the residents pass for us. My Hobby has British/Deutsch nationality but the rules for applying are basically the same. It all Sounds complicated but I‘ve been assured that it works out well. Thanks so much for your insight, can‘t wait to come.
Hi Duncan ( Trisha) …very informative video Duncan as always ..my you walked along way from the square to the market and seafront..the weather is still bitterly cold here in the uk…( plus lee and I are still ill ) …cheers Chris ….
Hey, Duncan thank you for a very informative video, a great help as we are planning to move to Spain after selling up as soon as possible, looking forward to the next video... Cheers!
That’s really helpful, thanks. News of the 100% tax for non eu residents is alarming but I understand that it is applicable (if it is passed into law) to the tax relief rather than the value of the property so nothing like as scary as the headline. We’re thinking of buying a property to live in Spain and whereas I’m close ish to retirement my wife will want to work for a further 5 to 10 years so not sure what visa we would apply for or when would be a good time to buy. I guess we could do the 90 days every 180 days to start with and then when we’re looking to spend the majority of the time in Spain, apply for a non lucrative visa. I understand that you can apply to work on a non lucrative after a year or two so this could be an option too..
Thanks for watching and commenting. It's not like the media to over-dramatise things - is It? (Ha-Ha). Yes, you can switch yur NLV to a working visa at the first renewal, (end of year 1), so that's definitely an option for you. All the best.
No, we're just learning as we go, and most people speak English in most places so it's all good. They like it when you make an effort though, so I try as much as I can. All the best.
Thank you for the top info Duncan I am thinking to buy a villa in southern of Spain as I am self employed and I can come back to UK to work for few weeks in ssummer and Christmas time and it will be enough to live there my girlfriend is Spanish and my kids have dual nationality British and Spanish passport pls can you advise which kind of visa do I require?many thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting. The good news is, I believe you only need to apply for something called "pareja de hecho", as your girlfriend is Spanish. You can find all the info here, all the best: administracion.gob.es/pag_Home/Tu-espacio-europeo/derechos-obligaciones/ciudadanos/familia/pareja/parejas-hecho.html
