The cerave tinted sunscreen makes a gorgeous undereye sunscreen, it's too greasy for my face but it makes my undereyes so smooth and it makes my concealer more pigmented.
I need to find some of that in Austria I’ve been timing with LaMer tube foundation. Yeah, I know… but my skin is so much happier with marine inclusive. I put it down to being biCoastal Canadia. When I live inland, my skin goes to shit, LaMer, La Mer & The Ordinary marine all do me some good. Say what you will, adding those to CeraVe does a lot for my skin that LaMer, La Mer, Ordinary or CeraVe alone do not 🍹
Alcohol can also cause puffiness/swelling and bags around the eyes on some people. I notice it even if I just have one glass of white wine (inc. Champagne etc.). For me, red wine (non-sparlling) seems to be OK,...occassionally and in moderation. Lack of sleep and salty foods exacerbates the puffiness and inner/under eye darkness for me too...which sometimes goes hand-in-hand with alcohol consumption. 👱♀️❤
A reminder to be aware of any irregularities on your (or loved one's skin). I took my partner to the doctor this evening, after noticing a raised, flakey bump with a red surround on his arm. As I suspected, it was a basal cell carcinoma, which was cut immediately in the surgery. (The doctor kindly stayed back late to do it.) A few years ago, he also had one removed from his upper back, that he hadn't realised he had. Please don't put off getting such things seen to! While I was there, I also made an appointment for myself for a full body skin check. 👱♀️❤
How scary! My father had a few of those removed back in the day. There was no such thing as sunscreen when he was a child or even as an adult! Worse, he was fair skinned with blonde hair and grey eyes. Skin cancers tend to grow downward as well as outward, which is what makes them so insidious! Full body skin checks are so important, because, like your partner, you can have one or more that you may very well not be aware of! Thanks so much for the reminder🌻💕
Love Dr. Dray. Did want to add that when the thyroid/adrenal situation is out of whack, dark circles under the eyes are intensified. Also, move a bit of your blush up, ladies to the dark circles. Just a dab of creamy blush under both eyes helps with the raccoon look. Try it. The red counteracts the purple.
To everyone with dark circles: I think they are cute! My boyfriend says it's like a 90 supermodel thing for some reason haha But yeah, when I was a child I had a really bad grass and trees allergies and I always had super dark circles. Everyone thought I am sick all the time. When I went through 5 years anti-allergy treatment my dark circles dramatically improved! I till have them, because I have deep set eyes, but they don't look bad if I am hydrating and sleeping well. I never believed in any products helping with dark circles.
They give a boost, like they're one part of a whole if that makes sense? But you gotta be careful and look for stuff like the ingredients Dr. Day mentioned because sooooo many eye creams and treatment serums are really just general stuff that could be used for the face and they bumped up the price, shrank the package and labeled it an eye cream. And to each their own I guess. :). I personally cannot stand mine. They look like under eye bruises. Right now I'm relying on working on getting more sleep and a gel cream/serum I'm using up before swapping to T.O's caffeine solution
My teenage daughter recently discovered concealer for her eye circles and I actually miss seeing her little under eye circles (genetic). Now her face looks too flat and like something's missing lol.
I have dark circles because of my dark skin and my deep eyes..all of those years I tried many products Nothing worked.. Even kafeine or green tea.. Nothing except vitamin K.. Really helped with a good hydration and sunglasses.. Not disappear the circles but help to look better under eye. The issue is more difficult with the years.. When you are young circles can be cute.. But with lines and bags under eye.. Not at all.. Good videos Dr dray.

I have very dark circles under my eyes (age and allergies) and while it doesn’t totally remove the circles, dermalmd under eye serum lightens and brightens without being hard on the skin. I can dab a little makeup to finish using so much less than I did before. If you have lighter circles than I do it will probably fix it and you’ll like the way it looks.
My dark circles are due to my allergies. At least that's what my ENT and dermatologist said. I've had then since childhood because allergies enjoy giving me the middle finger every chance they can get.

My husband is Finnish American and has very nice skin in his 80's. He just keeps sunscreen on it and needs occasional help from his dermatologist for dark spots, plus wears a hat in full sun. He looks about 10 years younger. Finns have very nice skin!
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray ❤ I don't have Dark Circles but due to my bad habit of rubbing my eyes constantly, I have multiple wrinkles under me eyes as a young teen
idk if you've seen her recent videos but she actually talked about this one. she said that if you want the anti aging properties, retinol works best when the product stays on your skin.
Regarding hydrogel eye patches, a warning so others don't waste their money like I did: I bought the Skyn Iceland ones from Ulta last December, and when I went to open a new pair last week, one was rancid (looked yellow and smelled terrible). I opened the last pair I had left, and both had turned bad.
oh whoa thanks for the heads up. so when you said you opened up a new pair last week, you're referring to the ones you bought in december right? (it's late at night and im fading fast lol).
I can’t help but enjoy where those little orange buttons are located they are placed with perfection 👌🏻 You help so many people it’s beautiful to witness! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The UltraSun sunscreen I use on my face, I also use around my eyes and it doesn't sting at all (combination chemical and physical). And I have really sensitive eyes. Since I've been applying it around my eyes regularly, the dark circles have gotten better, not totally gone at all but I'm happy with how it is now.
Dr. Dray, I have been using the red roller product that you recommended in your shop with me at Dollar tree video for my dark circles(not from hyperpigmentation). It has vitamin k, peptides and caffeine. Over time I have noticed that it really helps if I use it at night regularly. It is called skin nutrition New York. Great product for a dollar!!! Thanks so much
I'm hoping Dr Dray may notice my comment. I saw that maybe what I have are close comedones or milia but since it was said these bumps eventually go away and mine have never gone away for years now I'm still stuck. There is an issue I've always had and I haven't seen anyone address whatever this is and how to fix it. Whenever I get acne on my chin the acne always leaves a permanent bump. They're a little lighter than my dark skin and they never go away once the acne has been there. My nose does the same thing. I have had my first bump near my nostrils since I was 13 and I am 30 now. My first permanent bump which is the biggest on my chin has been around since 2011. I have two others on the other side of my nose and they've never gone away. I don't know what to search for to figure out what these are. They don't hurt and no matter how hard I squeeze nothing comes out of them. I don't have a primary doctor, so I don't know how to get professionally seen by a dermatologist. I wish I could find something to reduce this. The more permanent bumps I get the uglier I feel.
@Diana Moore I agree; I had something similar that just would NOT go away. After four months on Differin, they are almost completely gone! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. I hope this helps you, AwGurl!
I think I have what you’re referring to. I use a clay mask at night and Differin gel during the day. But they come back if I don’t continue. I hate those things!
Happy Wednesday dr Dray and everyone 😀. I have had dark circles all my life . Its hereditary. I was a fan of the late Cindy Joseph who had a pro-age message to accept ourselves instead of worrying about every flaw . I have found sunscreen makes a big difference and skin looks better when its hydrated so I really like the inkey list caffeine eye cream . When I do want to cover them I find an orange peach correct works well. I use one by Pixi cosmetics they have a peach for light to medium tone and an apricot one for dark to deep tones. You put a little on were you are darkest and blend. You can put concealer or make-up over it . It does make a difference. Have a great day love to mom and Tybee 🥰🥰🥰
I microneedle glutanex glow under my eyes and inject under the skin as a mesotherapy and my dark circles have gone away. It’s amazing. I don’t need any makeup anymore. It took like 3 months of doing it monthly and it’s been like a year and it hasn’t come back. I also put pdo threads vertical and horizontal under the eyes and that worked to increase the collagen.
Me feeling "all knowing", skin &sun educated by Dr. Dray: "Mom, did you put sunscreen on?!?!" My Mom: "My makeup has an SPF in it" Me: "IT'S NOT ENOUGH!!!! Do you want pro pigmenting wavelengths from visible light, Linda!??? DO YOU???!!!" 😂😂😂😂😂
Dr. Dray has a video on dark knees and elbows! According to Dr. Dray, pat mostly dry, but leave skin a little damp so your skin really absorbs the moisturizer and allows for that glow✨ best of luck!
Hi Dr. Dray! First of all, you look GORGEOUS today!! Your hair looks particularly beautiful as well -- the center part looks very flattering on you! Second: I love your top!! It's so pretty and looks great on you. I have been struggling with this undereye hyperpigmentation for a couple of years as I got into my wiser years -- late fifties. Another concealer that I highly recommend and recently discovered is the dermablend full coverage concealer. It is pretty forgiving for mature undereye skin which is crepey, dry and wrinkly. It is very moisturizing, and I am enjoying it. If I use my Eltamd Tinted Elements sunscreen with the dermablend concealer on top, it works pretty darn well. Thank you for another great video, dear Dr. Dray!!! Xo ❤
Cool! Thanks for sharing that, I have hereditary dark circles and they come with countless wrinkles included 🤣🤣🤣 will try to get that dermablend concealer
Me: has been wearing my daughter's baby mineral sunscreen for 2 years lol. I don't worry about the white cast. I'm so pale I could use white face makeup and look normal.
I looked up the pillow she was talking about thinking it'd be like 30 bucks(which is a lot for a pillow imo) turned out it was closer to 200! 😅 Not in my budget but maybe a good long term investment I'll have to wait for like geeezzz
I've developed dark circles that look like bruises. I mean, I sent a photo recently and my MIL asked if I was injured. It looks that bruise like. I've asked all of my doctors (I have lupus and a bouquet of medical issues, so I just asked ALL of them; you never know) and I heard mostly "I Don't Know" to "Allergies." Finally, my dermatologist (I know it's not skin, but figured ladies or fellas might ask under the heading of appearance) and she said oh yea, that's an allergy issue and she showed my photos, etc and gave me two OTC names, said do these daily (one a pill, one a nasal spary). I did that for 4 months straight; nope. So my quest continues. I've started with the color correcting first, then light cover. It's still there, if you are looking for it, but it's better. Ages me tremendously.
2021 best mineral zinc oxide sunscreen that is tinted and is unbelievably covering is bioderma cover touch spf 50+. Biggest issue with it is the color range, only two tones available and both are quite warm toned and dark. If we would write bioderma collectively maybe they would offer bigger range of colours. It would be the best high coverage foundation and spf in one if it had good tone range for people
I had dark eye circle due to the lack of sleeping and sleep late problem. I have tried two solutions, 1. I tried HUM WING MAN- liver detox & dark circle which help me LOTS!! 2. I have tear-trough cosmetic surgery treatment to brighten my eye area. another great choice in my case.
1. Sunscreen (mineral)
2. Concealers
3. Lip SPF
4. Sunglasses (without metal frames)
5. Caffeine & Vitamin K
6. Under eye hydro gel patches
7. Less sodium intake
8. Elevated pillows

I been using sunscreen (mineral) everyday, indoors as well, for a month and a half now and i noticed my eyelids do not look so dark anymore; Squeels!!!!
Which sunscreen please if u don't mind sharing? 😊

Hi there 👋, don't mind but isn't coffee is a cause of acne ? For me, the milk in coffee breaks me out 😭
Really glad to know that you recommend the Derma-E eye patches, I dropped them in my cart!
I love the patches and love them. I put them in the fridge and use in the morning mostly with breakfast. No irritation at all for me. Hope you enjoy!
I'm glad you made this because I watched one of your old videos about dark circles recently.
So interesting about metal framed sunglasses! Thanks for the tip!
right on time when I am literally searching for help with dark circles 😭
I don’t have hyperpigmentation but have very thin skin that gives me dark circles. What can I do for that?
Same 😭
Yep, came here to learn that and was sorely disappointed.

Supergoop bright eyes mineral sunscreen eye cream is a fantastic dupe for the colorescience one!
That’s good to know! Thanx so much for the tip💖
Thanks for sharing about the Supergoop bright eyes. I have the Colorscience one, but it is so expensive!!
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray and peeps ❤️ ❤️ 🥳☀️☕🥰

Hi dr Dray, how long should I wait for the CE Ferulic to absorb in my skin before I apply moisturiser and sunscreen? Should 5 minutes be enough?
Til dry...time varies with humidity
Eating leafy green vegetables and organ meats several times per week has done wonders for my under eyes.
nutrient dense choices! nice!
What kind of organ meats? I’ve been quite vegan lately and my dark circles are raging.
no way this info is free omg thank you
You have truly saved my skin in soo many ways, thank you and keep up your amazing work 🙏🥰 greetings from Finland
My husband is Finnish American and has very nice skin in his 80's. He just keeps sunscreen on it and needs occasional help from his dermatologist for dark spots, plus wears a hat in full sun. He looks about 10 years younger. Finns have very nice skin!
Really love how you explained everything in the video.

Hi would love to hear your opinion on the Olay Cleansing & Renewing Nighttime Body Wash with Retinol!
idk if you've seen her recent videos but she actually talked about this one. she said that if you want the anti aging properties, retinol works best when the product stays on your skin.
(it's late at night and im fading fast lol).
i also bought an eye serum it didn't work it make it become worse and burned my eyes
I can’t help but enjoy where those little orange buttons are located they are placed with perfection 👌🏻 You help so many people it’s beautiful to witness! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi, what about eyelid hyperpigmentation? What is your opinion on Dr V skincare products for periorbital hyperpigmentation?
isn't that thyroid related?
Nope I have hyperpigmentation all around my eyes have all my life, and have perfect thyroid function, just got tested again!
I dunno dr v seems like a hack now....
Just packed with practical info! As always! Thank you!
Hello which ultrasun you're using?

So many good suggestions from the comments too. Thank you doctor and thanks to everyone. My dark circles are awful but I have hope now.
Thank u so much for educating us and giving ur precious time to us!!

Hi there Dr Dray! Thanks so much for posting everyday! We appreciate your dedication & effort! 💙💙💙
Thanks so much
I use it too!
Holy wow!

@Diana Moore I have not tried differing but it's on my list of products to try now. Thank you!
@@vetsai8199 I will try differin! I was planning on trying it already but I'm hoping this will also help with this issue I've had for so long now.
I think I have what you’re referring to. I use a clay mask at night and Differin gel during the day. But they come back if I don’t continue. I hate those things!
The ordinary caffeine solution works well with dark puffy eyebags. I just use it 4 times a week and it's really helpful
Dr. Dray, need your advice for people working nights!! 😩😩
Omg yes!!! Like maybe a video on “skincare for nightshift” something like that 😂
How about blue, veiny dark circles?
What if you have dark circles caused by allergies? allergic shiners i think they call them.
I also like the Tart color corrector. It comes in 2 peach toned shades.
What a great tip! Thanks so much, Mary Ann💕
@@vetsai8199 you’re welcome a few companies sell them but pixi is reasonable and cruelty free and Target sells it 👍👍

How can you get rid of dark elbows. How do you dry you face after washing? Love you. I also have the gloves for 3 years🙌
Dr. Dray has a video on dark knees and elbows! According to Dr. Dray, pat mostly dry, but leave skin a little damp so your skin really absorbs the moisturizer and allows for that glow✨ best of luck!
I use vaselin vitamin e jelly under eyes trust me it worked so well
Hi Dr.
@@aguiebakes6821 it's the Dermablend Quickfix concealer. It comes in a stick formula.

Me: has been wearing my daughter's baby mineral sunscreen for 2 years lol. I don't worry about the white cast. I'm so pale I could use white face makeup and look normal.
Loved it ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is never a skincare that could actually lightrr dark eye circle
2021 best mineral zinc oxide sunscreen that is tinted and is unbelievably covering is bioderma cover touch spf 50+. Biggest issue with it is the color range, only two tones available and both are quite warm toned and dark. If we would write bioderma collectively maybe they would offer bigger range of colours. It would be the best high coverage foundation and spf in one if it had good tone range for people
You are amazing and so thorough....with your explanations. I come to you when I need advice..thank you 🙏🏼❤️
Happy Wednesday Dr. Dray!! 💜 Thank you for everything!
