brad do a video where you talk about the theravada/pali canon/hinayana from your perspective. if 1. theravada is the older style and 2. older = closer to when the buddha lived, what is 3. your reasoning for not thinking theravada = what the buddha actually taught? or if you do, how do you connect that to zen?

When you were at the begging of your path to become a Buddhist, did you face the problem of the lack of a Buddhist community? If yes how did you deal with it?
Not really. I was not looking or a Buddhist community. I had a teacher. He had a little tiny group of 4 or 5 people who sat zazen with him sometimes. That was enough for me. What are you hoping to find?
@HardcoreZen a small community at least of 20/30 people with whom I can practice Buddhist activities inside the temple and meet regularly in real life outside the temple.
@ I had friends. Most of my friends were not Buddhists. They still aren’t! Most of the people in the sanghas I was part of were not my friends. I don’t hang out with Buddhists very much. I have found Buddhists to be generally unreliable as friends or as a support system.

@ They’re all over the place! Try Google.
@HardcoreZen how did you face difficult times without the help of a Buddhist community?
