The 2023 Lexus UX 250h is the brand's entry-level, hybrid luxury SUV, using a similar powertrain to the Toyota Corolla Cross. With a nearly $50,000 price tag for this version, it better be a remarkable car to get you through the winter...but how does it actually perform? Nathan finds out in this review!

After breakin period, we saw 45mpg combined city/highway driving. It's a great little car.

In the luxury trim, I thankfully don't have that fake sound. But you can also turn it off left of the steering wheel. I have this as my city daily and actually love it. It handles pretty well. You'll find parking anywhere. And I easily get over 40mpg.

My daughter-in-law just bought one. They are super nice and feel more spunky than the 0-60 time would indicate. She is a single, urban professional, so it meets her needs very well. BTW. Toyota's eCVT consists of a planetary gear and electric motor: not belts, so it doesn't have the typical rubber-band feel of CVTs.

I had absolutely zero issues with my CT (which is smaller than this) moved a dorm room out for 3 years, flipped a house with it, etc etc. it has real roof rails so you can add cross bars, and it’s got a decent back seat (provided you’re not a drama queen about rear leg room) and it get 42 MPG, and it’s a Lexus. What more you could want from a compact SUV? It literally does everything so well

If an adult can't fit in the backseat of a car then it probably shouldn't have a backseat to begin with. Cool car with great fuel economy but its really a two seater and would probably look even better in just a two door version.

EVCT-con. Piss poor cargo room-con. Piss poor rear seat leg room-con. Piss poor ground clearance for snow-con. Cladding that will be damaged from ice chunks-con. As a single/dual person commuter on dry and rain roads, it is probably a nice little run about. I would NEVER call it a wagon by any stretch of the imagination. The price is too exaggerated for what you get. Better alternatives for the price.

I never liked this vehicle, but the prop rod was the cherry on top. Somehow, I thought they would upgrade it to struts over the Corolla, etc. as a Lexus. Also, this, (like a few other vehicles) is really stretching the definition of an SUV or crossover. It's a hatchback. It's barely bigger than my SO's 2015 Toyota Yaris...

  • @AllStars2525

This is a great city car and I'm quite tempted to buy one. It fits my budget and Lexus quality and reliability is superb. It has some cool design compared to an Audi Q3, MB GLA, and BMW X1. 'm just worried about getting run over on the highway. I had that experience once before and I said "never again." I don't want to drive a golf cart on the freeway. Am I overreacting?

Very tiny car for such a high price! Good review guys! I like the interior very much, but, it's just too small. $48 K for a small vehicle with no backseat room or much cargo space. Rather have an NX...Or a highline Rav4 Much better alternatives! I will say that the dang thing will probably last well over 300,000 miles though.
