thank you for sharing this. I just finished a part of my cancer treatment. I decided that I want to make hats/blankets etc. to donate to a cancer center/patients and this video has made it very easy for me to do so. Thanks again.
I just finished cancer treatment as well I needed something to keep busy without a lot of physical stress! I was thinking of giving them away as well. I also have essential tremors I thought this might be something I could do with shaky hands! Lol
So, I’ve found my addiction! This tutorial was amazing and I have been able to make six hats in the last four days. It’s something to keep your hands and mind busy while getting to create something useful and cool. Thank you so much!
❤I am so very grateful for your video. I was about to call it quits when I found your video. My hat for my grandson turned out perfect. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Merry Christmas 2023❤
Thank you so much! I am a beginner at the age of 10 and I could not understand how to make the end of the hat! All the other videos would just overcomplicate or have obnoxious robot voices! Thank you so much and I hope your channel continues to grow!
I live in Ohio and have been self educating myself a lot on the homeless lifestyle and we have harsh winters and I've been noticing a few more new local homeless people around and I'm really worried they won't make it into a shelter before winter so I'm about to order a loom and I'm watching these videos so I can make some hats for them. I'm hoping this is something I can become skilled enough at that I can make a lot of hats/scarves each year to donate not only to shelters, but the people I see wandering around local areas (Edit: Just finishing up my first hat!😁 Plan on getting quite a few done before snow fall)
Found a loom hat kit my mother had and decided to look at some you tube videos to learn how to use it. Your video is by far the best one I watched. I am also a breast cancer survivor and I crochet hats for my local Chemo Buddies group. This loom will make the hats much faster than crocheting one at a time!
Today was my first time i ever used a Loom and its also the first time I'm trying my hand at Loom knitting in my whole life and I'm completely astounded that i was able to successfully make my first Hat that I'm giving as a last minute gift to my Grandma. Thank you so much for this wonderful video.
Thanks so much for this video. I just finished my first ever hat using the loom and wool I had on hand. I especially like that you are NOT talking and just have the instructions floating on the screen. The music is really great---it doesn't distract from focusing on the knitting instructions. You made my day!
This is a different method than I've seen before. I will try this with the next hat. I knit for charity so I wanted a bit more speed and got a loom. I have lots of time to practice because I'm nursing broken ribs. Thank you for your video!
I first watched your videos 5 years ago and I wanted to thank you for making your instructions so user friendly, loom knitting is one of my favorite hobbies ☺️
This was a grate tutorial for beginners this was my first hat I have ever made and I came out amazing super easy to follow thanks so much for sharing 😀 ❤️ 😊
Thank you thank you thank you! I have been trying to learn, only to have super bad anxiety attacks!! When my mom found this, the music and the simplicity brought such peace and…calm. Which is miraculous for someone who can’t breathe due to anxiety. Yeah. I could’ve quit and said “it’s not for me”, but my grandpa made Thousands (no joke!) of hats and gave them to the homeless. I want to carry on his legacy now that he’s gone. And now, because of you!, I finally feel Hope that I can succeed and do that. 🥲🫶🏼❤️
I viewed another loom hat for beginners but really it was a bit advanced. This is what I needed for me. Thank you. I will be working on this this weekend.
Made my very 1st beanie with your tutorial using the medium sized loom. Using your instructions this is perfect for an infant beanie. It came out so adorable. Thank you
Oh my gosh, thank you SO much....I truly believe my very inept self can actually do this! Lol 😁 I'm trying to find things to keep me from going totally batsh*t crazy during this pandemic. I plan to donate what I make to schools and homeless shelters. Thank you again ❤
Thank you so much! I am so thankful I found your video tutorial on utube. I watched it and it is super easy to follow. I will be attempting to make a hat for my first project. Wish me luck!❤
This was so easy to follow! I made my first hat yesterday while watching this tutorial and it took me 5 hours. Considering how good it looks, I was surprised I could finish it within one day!
Thank you so much for your simple and easy to follow instructions. I just finished my second hat and plan to follow another one of your tutorials shortly.
Thank you so much! Because of your easy to follow instructions I am making hats now. I have watched multiple videos on TH-cam and their instructions didn't click the way yours did. I appreciate it ❤
Thanks to you I was able to make a hat based on one a character has from this manga I've been reading! It was so easy to follow I did in just a few hours, I'm looking forward to following more of your tutorials from now on!
Videos always very well explained, and easy to understand. I like it when the videos are in Spanish, it's easier for me to understand. She also liked to teach us how to make sweaters, and blouses on the loom of pins or in the ring. Congratulations on explaining your work step by step so well. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
What a great tutorial, thank you so much for sharing! I've crocheted for years, & our 7-year-old wants to learn, but I feel like she will get frustrated & I don't want her to hate it. (I can't knit, either.) So we bought some round knitting looms & she just made her first hat for her doll with the help of your tutorial. Thank you! 🤗
I will surely try this. I tried one doing crochet and it came out pretty good, but I think with a loom I might have a little more control. Breaking out the loom this weekend need to get proper yarn too. Also love that you have relaxing music to work along with your project. Thank you for showing the proper way to wrap the next row. I have tried a few times and it would get so tight when pulling the yarn over the yarn would break, a peg might pop off, or I miss a peg when wrapping=frustrating moments. Wanted to try again and I love knitting a few pegs at a time. It doesn't get tight as you work around and it helps you make sure you wrap each peg THANK YOU now I will be able to make a proper hat!
i’m 12 and since quarantine i’ve been looking for things to do and i recently found a knitting loom in my closet and decided how to make something and this was really easyto follow thanks!! 😊
Thank you so much!!! I have never knitted anything before and this tutorial was perfect. I was able to make a beautiful one for my mom for her birthday. She can't normally buy one like this because of bad allergies. This was so easy to follow.
Thank you SOOO much for this video. I've made two in the style you displayed and LOVE them. I wish I could show pictures here of them. Thank you again! :)
This was a great beginner video ! I watched others and they were not as clear and simple as this one. I especially liked how you did the brim of the hat at the beginning to keep it from just curling up. It looks professional ! Also, liked how you held the hook to pull the loops over. And you worked 4 or 5 loops at a time. Thank you !
What an easy and clear video! I like that you both showed and told in writing what you were doing. I am working on my first adult hat now and it is going smoothly. Thank you so much.

Thanks to you, I made my first hat! Two questions (1) If I want to make an easy slouch hat, do I just make this longer? (2) Can I use this stitch and loom to make an easy scarf?
Yes you can. You would knit one direction (for the width you want), turn and knit back to your starting point (it is called knitting flat). Takes a little practice but you can catch on quick
I love your hat videos for beginner loom knitting they are easy to follow and understand. My question is, can a (3/8 Small Gauge round loom) it has smaller space between the pegs be used to make your hats?
I tried this and the brim came to the top because I use a smaller peg and it turn out weird what is the problem with it ?? but I haven’t finished it yet I’m confused in this part is it supposed to be like this ??
Hi Brian! No, don't worry about that: you put the slipknot back on the first peg and you pull the bottom loop over, so the first slipknot is well kept. The loose end you hide inside the crease does nothing :)
Yes thank you so much for this video. I was knitting on my loom while watching, I’m a beginner. Can you tell me how many rows you did all together? I think I saw 18 rows to make the brim and then another 10 rows after that, is that correct?

if I do this with a 36 peg one how many rows should I do for the brim and for the actual hat part?
Sorry if this is a bit late, but I'll answer anyway in case anyone else needs help.
Loomahat.com has a really good chart for different loom/hat sizes. A 36 peg loom is going to make a thinner tube of material, so it's used for tween/teen to smaller adult sizes. Measuring is going to be your best bet, but an (approx) 2 inch brim should be fine for a hat on a 36 peg loom.
