@@MACHOx3_theRealestateGamer I'm out of the industry. I canceled my commercial insurance last week. I need to be local because my wife and I just adopted two kids. Nit sure what I'm going to do with the van. Its a 2018 High Roof extended Ford Transit with 180k on it.
Thanks for the great video’s. You’ve inspired me to get a sprinter van and get started asap. I’ve been working for someone else driving a dump truck but have been looking for something different.
It’s crazy, be this is exactly my life bro. Currently driving a tri axle dump truck. Now me and my fiancée are taking this step and starting our business!
Always great videos I sent over my information to get started is there a way to find out what needs to be put in the van before I start maybe a list like insulation and the floor is important. Never think about these things. Also there is a cover you recommend to protect wheel wells. I hope to meet you one day. We really like to know what I need before I hit the road space heater, bed, floor and insulation ect thanks again for the great videos
Hey my friend, I'm sure your maintenance schedule might be different than the dealer's schedule on 4 cylinder diesel, Being that we're constantly on the road. So whats your schedule on oil changes, cabin filter, spark plugs, maybe brake fluid, transmission oil & filter, and fuel filter. Because of your honesty in this industry and great advice on sprinter vans, I apologize that I keep bothering you for information. Thank you so much again.
10k miles on oil changes and oil filter together, and Mines a V6 and it's a diesel van... There's no spark plugs in diesels. Cabin filter gets replaced whenever it looks dirty. Brake fluid I never replace, transmission fluid every 100k miles, fuel filter maybe every 75 k. I do it all myself. No need to pay dealership for basic maintenance.
What's the best way to mount the bed to the van wall? For my fold-up bed, I drilled a wooden strip to the wall and attached the bed on hinges to that. My bed looks very similar to yours, however over time mine started slipping off with the screws ripping out, tearing the metal wall.... any feedback much appreciated! Thanks for the video info
So your heater has an independent source of energy or does it work from the battery energy source how do you prevent battery drain do you have an inverter with a lithium-ion battery and recharge system what about an AC system for the hot summertime or states that have hot weather conditions all year round what if I need to cook in the van can I install an induction two-burner foldable stove and a small enough refrigerator that won't interfere with the freight space ?
It's connected to a regular battery and does not kill in within 24 hrs. I don't need ac there's a roof vent and van is completely insulated. I don't cook in the van.
Great videos brother!!! Just curious, I know you love your Mercedes Sprinters, question is, 4cyl diesel vs 6cyl diesel for otr. I'm thinking 6cyl since it has more power which equals less wear. what's your opinion. I know you love the 5 cylinders, but I have availability for 4 or 6. Thank you again.
If u can get a 4 cyl 2.1 L get it. Mines a 3.0 V6 and with these fuel prices I'd love to have a 2.1 liter. I was searching for a 4 cyl but the only one at a steal of a price was this V6 so I took it. Diesel provides plenty of power and torque in a 4cyl.
This may be a silly question, but after screwing the tracks to the floor is there any chance of water getting into the floor on rainy days? Or do the screws not puncture completely through the floorboard?
@@Eagle-Xpress thanks! As mentioned in my previous post, looking to buy a van to become an owner-operator, might reach out to you if I have more questions or maybe even join Eagle Xpress as an owner-operator when ready.

The basic things. Insulation, diesel heater, bed. Those are the bare minimum things to be comfortable in the van.

Cant you use load locks as well to block off a pallet?
Securing with straps is the most secure way in a van.
Man my back stretcher the truth on the road lol
Did you just use regular insulation for the walls ( like from the hardware store) i've seen they recommend using some super expansive wool for it.
Foam blow in was used for the walls and Styrofoam insulation was used for the cealing.

Maybe you used short screws. I used 3 or maybe they were even 4 inch screws and there's also leds underheath of that strip for support on mine.

Hey how is it going I was wondering if your sprinter came with E track
No. I installed it myself
What do you fasten e-track down with? I mean it's like if you had a Bryan collision with that pallet is still stay there
E track screws in onto your existing floor.

I only screw them into the wood...not the metal floor.
Great video! Currently looking to buy a Sprinter, which model would you recommend (trims/dimensions,2500 or 3500, diesel or gas)?
99% of sprinters are diesel. And if it's a 3500 make sure it's not a dually.

Ok thank you very much I will get my van next week
Why do you say not to get a 3500 dully sprinter just curious.
It's too narrow inside and pallets do not fit between wheel wells. Dually sprinters are not for this type of work.
Do I have to be vaccinated to work for y'all?
Nope
