Do you know the best place to by replica webbing and uniforms for DAK, I have some DAK items but want to build up a good impression. I would rather buy once for a better quality item than buy twice, I know there are some bad reproductions out there . What's your opinon on SM wholesale? Many thanks from across the pond .

When you look at pictures of soldiers in the Afrika Korps you can see that they used the basic felt canteens along side the coconut canteens. Infantryman in Europe also used coconut canteens. Most tropical gear was also used in Europe.
Not true. This is a myth that reenactors have. The most common k98 ammo pouches were the standard black ones. The same can be said for the canteens as coconut canteens were very rare. These myths are represented all the time in Afrika Korps reenactments along with everything metal being paint with a tan color. These units simply didn’t have the paint supplies necessary to be able to paint all the soldiers equipment.
