  • Tata Motors Global Design Head Martin Uhlarik takes us on a walkthrough of the Tata Design Studio in the UK. This is where the Tata Curvv was designed and executed. Editor Sirish Chandran gives you a peek into the studio, clay modelling lab, designer’s offices, virtual reality labs and much more. We also take a quick walk around the Tata Sierra EV concept, which is set to be Tata Motors next blockbuster launch.
This video might inspire you to be a car designer!

I REALLY loved the design, right from the concept stages and was eagerly looking forward to the release. Thanks for covering the design aspects in depth too!
Ever since i saw the volvoC40 in person, I liked the idea of a coupe type compact suv. I find the design extremely refreshing, and eye catching. The smooth lines are a welcome relieve from the traditional boxy SUV lines we are seeing from other manufacturers no matter how attractive.

The fit and finish of TATA cars still have room for improvement. In mass production, it's easy to fall into the mindset of 'This is good enough, so a small flaw can be overlooked.' However, the day we stop accepting anything less than perfection and strive for 100% excellence, our manufacturing standards will rise, and the world will begin to truly appreciate Indian engineering.

it'd be wise for Tata Motors to setup a state-of-the-art vehicle assembly line in Europe . . . Tata's perception of the Indian car market is overtly underestimated . . . unlike Mahindra & its subsidiaries Tata cars are made only for the Indian market, no plans for export to foreign markets . . . Tata SUVs sold in India don't come with a AWD or 4WD variant, not even as an option . . . granted demand for the 4WD variant is less than 2% but even then Tata could do a limited production run of dedicated 4WD variant of the Harrier & Safari . . . it'd be worth it, besides what's a Safari without 4WD for cryin out loud . . .
