I actually kinda liked that Jungle Temple level. Chaotic sure, but kinda neat.
It feels like the hot garbage in smm2 is less “accidental” and more “hand-crafted” by a maniacal mastermind…
Yoshi running wild in the bomb temple was hilarious
For SMM2 runs you need to have Tammy green screened into a castle and you get to rescue her at stage 10. 😂

I really liked that last level! The theming was really cool, the boss fights looked challenging and entertaining, and I thought the secret room was fun! Not sure what was up with the key door where you can just...fight a bunch of optional bosses for no reason? But the rest was really cool!
The optional room gets you another Fire Flower to get through the upwards vertical section, assuming you lost it on your way down. Though if you never lost the Fire Flower then yeah it'd be pointless

The Jungle Temple is 1 of those rare Genius idea , could've been semi-fair bona-fide levels with poise and craft but in the end, fell into the frustrating realm of hot garbagio pit of no return.
But then, went back to being semi-fair towards the end. Ah well.

I absolutely love that bomb level. Its so exciting and an interesting take on Bomb Excavating while also still being challenging.
And it even has a hidden Yoshi that is challenging to get but satisfying at the same time coming up with a strategy to complete the level successfully.
A Bonus room that gives you lots of coins and powerups.
And an interesting boss/survival fight. Its awesome.
17:55 Far left pipe is enterable and has a yoshi and shelmet. That will probably make the WR easier.

Absolutely. But it's very difficult. The P strat is way easy. You might want to just jump slowly on the notblock until you get to edge of itand land on the ground

I could be wrong, but the level with the leaves you had to dodge looked like if timed right someone could slide under the block just as the bomb blows up and maybe take damage from the muncher.
If you watch you can see when he took damage after he hit the spike in the first try he could of won you can see the change when he takes damage

That last level was fine until you get to the bottom of the bomb hell. That was a pretty reasonable excavation bullet hell but wtf was the second half. Felt like he had no idea how to continue

@@ibigfire Only when you know you're safe. Ryu exited a pipe in a brand new area and immediately started breaking down the previous troll and was promptly killed by a new one.

Troll levels are essentially pick-a-path, dedicated win routes blocked off by mere trial-and-error obstacles.
@@bradlasalle2888 No. I wouldn’t have bothered to say anything if that were the case. That’s par for the course as you pointed out. Now I could have worded myself better in my first statement however in my other reply I made it clear I was more referring to Ryu stopping to work out how he made it through a previous troll and to not die there again while in a completely new area of a troll level.
@@Koyol Either way, that doesn't change the fact that there's no universal expected rule he broke when it comes to troll levels. Stopping to contemplate the previous section could've helped him dodge the troll if it was made to punish you for going immediately; which comes down entirely to the whim of the creator.
Like I said, it's essentially a pick-a-path. There is no wrong answer or infallible logic, only guesses with trial-and-error.
