@@vain5508 the wall went up all the way on the left. I think the semi solid didn't go high enough because Mario needed to be able to jump over. So I think, like Ryu said, he was doing too well and going too high. Jumping off the left wall ensures you won't drop the shell over the oneway
No, actually it's because you can't hit the next shell up with the current shell.
i'm actually not totally sure if that's true or not.. the shell might still go over in some cases. not sure though, would need to science it

The janky shell level is normally a run killer. That's not including the other levels that were deceptively sneaky or hot garbage. That's why you're the cool ninja samurai teacher
If someone wants to remake that shell jump level, you can make it reset able by putting vines in the blocks. And people won't be able to cheese with the vines because of the one-ways.
Why vines?

@@woofexe4050 I highly recomend his early 100 man runs, he wasn´t as skilled which actually make it more exciting as he didnt often clear the game. Plus as previously mentioned he was much more visceral.

With the level at 18:00 you need to set up the blocks to jump up first, then go back, hit the block with the star in and follow it until it reaches the blocks.. collect it, jump, run, beat the Thwomps with the star active..

On that shell jump level, I'm SO glad he finally realised he should look left. I'm not very good at Mario, so normally I wouldn't have any thing to say about whether a level was going well or not, but it was physically hurting me that he hadn't realised it before he finally did.

It 100% makes a difference. It means you can't accidentally hit the next shell with yours and kill yourself for being too good with the shell jumps.
Ryu you asked us if we could even notice if it was SMM1 or SMM2, well imho SMM1 super exper is easy to spot because of the weird starts and hidden pipes, SMM2 super expert seems a bit more tame
In smm2 I almost made a level with 25 consistent shell jumps but could not upload it because I always messed up at around 20
