Bartek had to do all the modifications by himself. That's probably why he never mentioned in his interviews the name of the manufacturer of the drone.
Whether the drone helped him skiing down the most dangerous mountain of the world or not, it's really extraordinary. Skiing down from 8600 meters, it really takes courage of different level. One wrong step and the drone can not keep you from falling. This guy is crazy like hell. May Allah bless you. Hats off to you bro.
Wow, amazing cinematography and a quantum leap in practical use of a drone. I imagine purists might be appalled. But how can you dispute the efficacy of rescuing a stranded climber, or delivering medicine up high safely via drone vs. putting the safety of a climbing Sherpa at risk. Seems to me, that is a fair trade off. Skiing down that knife edge band of snow along that ridge line was awesome.
Good point, so often Sherpas are tasked with rescue operations, much better to send a drone instead. My only worry is that as mountaineering becomes more accessible and popular, id hate to see a clogged airspace of 100s or even 1000s of buzzing drones on climbing routes.
