@@LightningCeltic Didn't expect to see your reply right here in the comments section! Nice to see that's you're a good sport about their cheating, haha.
I'm such a fan of this series, and I know that you both don't play video games super often. HOWEVER I felt compelled to say that throughout this entire episode I was on the edge of my seat holding back screams of desperate annoyance and anger at how terrible you both are at this game. Great video as always.
This games rough. I was never able to get past level 2 as a child. Disney purposely made this game as hard as possible in order to force hours of gameplay out of it.
Agreed. Those timed jump side scrolling games were always a challenge. I do remember beating it several times as a kid though, along with Aladdin. Can pretty much guarantee I'd rage quit nowadays.
Ive been waiting for this for years, because ive been stuck on that ostrich bit in that 2nd level for 20 years. That being said, its never aggravated me as i much as i was watching you guys die on those giraffes constantly.
Such a shame too, because I LOOOVE The Amazing Spider-Man video game. It’s such a perfect, natural sequel to the film. And then they popped out the second and what. The. Fuck.
oh man. this game makes me realise how much of a hard lad gamer I was as a kid (pretty sure I clocked this). such a soft unit now. a soft weak boomer who plays farming sim games for unironic fun.
You guys just brought back a memory I didn't realize I had. I literally didn't remember anything about this game until about 3 seconds into watching y'all play it. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
This is the game I had as a child that made me think I was just bad at video games. It's nice to see now that everyone struggles with it. I swear I never made it past that second level as a kid, after many hours of playing over time.
You guys are making my 11 year old self(back in 96) playing this game look like a master. I probably couldn't get past the 1st level these days though. But I remember never making it past the cheetah level, not sure which level that is but it's one of the end levels.
I finally beat this game in college. I sat myself down, apologized to my girlfriend and roommates in advance for the filthy horrible things that I'd be yelling all day, booted up the SNES, and made it to the end screen through sheer force of will. To this day, I consider it one of my greatest life accomplishments.
Level 4, the stampede?!? That was my jam! I actually learned how to play it just by the music so I could face away from the TV and still play it. I wonder if my old “seega” still works...
I did beat level 4 without the health cheats but it took a lot of water time and memorization but hey we did not have cell phones and it was winter at the time ! However I remember the hardest level was when adult simba is in the caves! Great video and super funny to watch you guys!
To this day I have not been able to beat level 2. The part where you jump with the ostrich and then jump off of it through the tree? Yeah. ALWAYS hits the tree. This game will haunt me for life...
I'm just over here shouting at my phone for them to just JUMP ON THE GIRAFFES HEAD lol. "Where do you go from there?" It's a 90's platformer, you mostly keep going right. The SNES versions controls are slightly better too
I played this on SNES so much as a kid. It was the first game I ever beat and still probably the game I feel most accomplished about. Level 2 was probably the most frustrating, but Hakuna Matata’s waterfalls were rough too. And that hyena cave level, ugh. I put so many hours into this game as a kid. I had no clue there were cheat codes haha.
everyone commenting about the fact they used cheats to beat the level and no one talking about the fact that Tyler straight up stole this picture from reddit
I'm on the edge of a Hulk rage just watching how intense this game is - reminds me of Mickey Mouse castle of illusion (also Sega, 1990) - I was 16 and it damn near killed me, I never even finished it. About 10 years ago I had a 2nd opportunity to do it and I did even worse. Kids nowadays don't know how hard we had to work.
My friends and I were obsessed with this game for a while as kids. I think we made it to level 5 a few times, I'm not sure if we ever made it to level 6.

Still awaiting James’ magnum opus Star Wars vídeo where he just lists all Star Wars properties in front of a camera. Give us what we need, you coward!

Nah, Mason is just such a pro at the game. He just couldn’t wait to be king.

Ok so does that mean I don't owe em the $20?? Haha
They have proven giraffes are the top predators of the wilds. They've killed nearly 30 lion clubs.
Also lion cubs
immortal lion clubs to booot
I think we can all agree that the biggest takeaway from this episode is how good James' singing voice is.
