Yamaha still makes the absolute best 2-stroke dirtbikes in the YZ family. My cousin and I owned a 1980 YZ-80 "Bumblebee" (yellow and black) from new in 1980 until we foolishly sold it in 1989. That was the fastest and baddest 80cc bike around in our riding circle. It would keep up with and more often than not stomp 100cc and 125cc 4-stroke enduro trail bikes very easily. The first time it blew the doors (er in this case the fenders off) of a 1987 Suzuki DR-100 4-stroke we knew we had a winner. I wish I still had it today as a middle aged older man. The power to displacement ratio on these bikes is insanely powerful. I bet this bike really cooks and is very fast for a YZ-125. Ours was all stock back in the day and it was still very fast for a 80cc.
Nice bike bro I also ride at white knuckle ranch glad they finally cleaned up the track . Havnt gone out there to test it myself yet but hopefully soon .

Boy am i glad you took the 125 out. That's how us old slow and out of shape guy's wish we could ride. Also i love the sound.

How did the Boyesen RAD Valve work out? Did you notice a difference in power?
I have many hours on the bike with them instaled. Works great and has never given me any issues!
