After every jab you bring your left hand to your hip and your right hand comes forward leaving you exposed. They gonna parry your jab and hit you witb the right cross, and the movement of your right hand will leave susceptible to jab feints into left hook or check hooks off your jabs

Thanks I thought my jab was high enough, something I am trying to improve on. As for my right hand, i keep it infront of my face to deflect shots instead of keeping it to the side

@@callmeSmiley that's fine, using the right to parry is common but just be aware that if you reach/extend to parry the check hook will be there for your opponent. The jab itself is fine for the most part but you are smothering it a bit notice how your elbow is bent nearly every time your jab connects? If you fully extend it you can use your shoulder from the jab hand to cover your chin. The issue is when the jab hand returns to your guard you tend to bring it lower than your natural guard you keep before throwing it. Although you show glimpses of the Philly shell in this short clip so that could be why you bring it low if your trying to implement the Philly shell as your defense just make sure to stand more bladed instead of square. I was taught a good bladed stance should feel like your holding a rifle, although if your doing MMA everything changes lol

@@drysoups Ah good point yes - I actually do bring my left hand down to go philly shell but also causse its really tiring as you know. I try to keep in mind to extend my jab fully but it never "succeeds" unless im shadow boxing. WIll keep that in mind - the shoulder to help defend my chin. Also good point - maybe I should stand more bladed, but I was probably thinking of not standing too bladed because of being grappled hehe
